The best commentary track ever recorded is for Evil Dead II with Bruce Campbell, Sam Raimi, Scott Spiegel and Greg Nicotero. They started doing MST3K riffing on their own movie, and you can hear the camaraderie between all four of them.

The other really good one is for The Thing with John Carpenter and Kurt Russell, but all of their commentaries together (especially Big Trouble in Little China) are very good, very funny and very entertaining.

At what point do they come into play after the first half hour or so of the film? They establish the theme and then don't really go anywhere with it. You can certainly attempt to read more into the film, but the script itself doesn't really inform those interpretations. For example, I've heard that some people interpret the ending as a kind of allegory for appropriation. Even if that were true, it's cheap allegory. Sleepaway Camp 1-While "fine" I don't think I'll continue with this series, I'm getting real "Basketcase" trilogy vibes. They really sold how grimey Summer Camps are.
Fear Street 1978-Watching nineteen year old Sadie Sink run around in shorts for most of the hour and fifty mins runtime scrubbed the mental image of the feminine penis from Sleepaway Camp out of my mind. There's actual nudity in this one but most of it's dude ass, however you can almost see a flash of titty after a sex scene. Besides that, another enjoyable but basic slasher where most of the kills are offscreen because it's against young children.
