Last thread's fan translation addition:
-Fire Emblem: Engage - Uncensor Patch (this fixes all the localisation changes, which returns all of the romances to being explicit again)
Last thread's mod addition:
-Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts (again for some reason, check out the new and improved Maiden protagonist mod)

Progress on the recommendation list has been steady. I have added around 50 detailed recommendations, mounting up to overall 80+ games finished. There is still a long way to go, but all games for these tags are done: Essentials, CRPG, JRPG, SRPG, RPGmaker.
I added a couple more games to the list which will pile on more work for me. I'm like halfway through the Visual Novel tag, which is the one with the most titles. Several of the small tags are just missing one game rec to be finished.
As mentioned last thread I hit the 200k character limit on the rentry, so I had to make a second one. The original one will link to the new one in the sections of every game that didn't fit, so there's no need to provide the second link in OP.

Speaking of the yuri game festival, one of the games listed with heavy yuri undertones (a list that includes full on yuri games mind you) is AirBoost Airship Knight. I've kept an eye on that game since the Steam Next Fest because it gave me yuri vibes.
I wonder if the devs have been more open about it being yuri than expected...

Finally made it to the Hawaii trip in P5. Just like previously the mod went out of its way to create new scenes where Kasumi shares a room with Ann during the trip. Unfortunately despite Ann's obvious flirting, Kasumi has already set her sights on Makoto for good. Despite her Confidant not being close to romantic yet, you can already have a Hawaii date with her, which is one of the things that proves the devs consider her the main heroine I guess.

Aside from the big date, I finally got to meet Haru and Kawakami was left all alone because I didn't I didn't get her Confidant high enough to hang out with her.

I can't express how cute the random interactions with Sumire are sometimes.Them being sisters adds infinitely to every scene she appears in. This is exactly the kind of messing around you would expect from siblings.
Overall a great success.

So is Hornet a lesbian or not?
>>
>>4470150
>backhands a creepy crawly thief as he tries to go near her.
>strikes a lecherous flea with her needle as he tries to spy on her while taking a dip in the spa.
>slaps an ugly looking snail trying to kiss her.
>tells a huge as slave off for calling her mistress.
>is fine with Lace calling her dear and basically admitting that she stalks her.
I don't know yet. Seems pretty het coded.
>>
>>4470151
So its just implied shit. Wished for some hard confirm, like a Hornet Lace ending or something.
>>
>>4470152
I'm not finished yet. Still looking for more secrets and lots of backtracking. There is a lot of potential.
But
>expecting any good outcome in that kind of game
What? This boggles my mind.
>>
>>4470154
Both are [spoilers]immortal[/spoilers] so that alone should warrant a happy ending if Hornet and Lace really are into each other.
>>
>>4470127
There was a bathhouse scene pretty early on where Ann asks what Kasumi thinks of the boys and Kasumi could reply Ann is the one she notices the most (which makes Ann happy).

As for the actual options, athlete would probably be Sumire, nerd could be Makoto or Futaba. Lone wolf is Hifumi. So there really is no Ann option lol
>>
>>4470152
>>4470154
>an ending for the two
>a good ending boggles the mind
You might be surprised just what the true ending is actually about.

>>4470167
Anon you still dont know how to use spoiler tags? Also they are are long lived, not immortal. The difference is that they can still be killed or consumed if the enemy is sufficiently powerful (for example godlike being or the abyss which Horner cannot survice as explained in the first game).
>>
>>4470189
>So there really is no Ann option lol
The lack of "I'm into older girls" option shows that there's no Sensei option either. Much work is left
>>
>>4469779
So is the FMV game confirmed to have a proper yuri route now? Or is romancing the princess just a dead end? I cant trust chink games without proof.
>>
>>4470032
Appreciate the collages and summaries of the Kasumi mod you’ve been doing. I played P5R a while back but too recently to enjoy a second playthrough, so it’s nice to see the yuri
>>
>>4470297
I guess you did a NG+ run back then too? I think P5R is replayable enough.
Of course I'm skipping most of the game's content to avoid spoilers, even on the Confidants, so these posts won't replace a real playthrough.
>>
Are the PSP fate games worth playing if i give ZERO shits about the source material?

i bought it and will let you know. not familiar with the genre but it'd be nice if you could eventually date your scheming 'childhood friend' who wants to kill you. that's my type.
>>
>>4470323
You never heard of Full Motion Video (FMV) games? I guess that makes sense. It was a stupid fad in the 90s when people though that would be the future of gaming for some reason. There have been a few of those over the last decades, just for the artistic expression.

Road to Empress seems to fit in with Korea/China/Japan's love for historical dramas. They have like a million TV shows like this. It was only a matter of time until someone turned one into a game.
In fact I have seen quite a few FMV type dating games from China (all het though, for obvious reasons). The production on this makes me think this was pitched as a TV show and for some reason converted. The price is shockingly low though.
>>
>>4470317
PSP Fate games are their own largely self-contained source material. It would probably help to know the gist of the whole Servant summoning thing, but I think the first game even explains it itself in case you're not familiar with it whatsoever.
>>
>>4469842
I enjoyed the princess carry at the end, and the fact Lace is pretty much dependant on Hornet's silk to survive now.
>>
>>4470368
is it actually yuri or is it like a hornet considers lace her kid or whatever thing?
>>
>>4470371
There isn't really any hint of romance, you'll have to put your googles on, we can only imagine the specifics of their relation after the end but they'll have to stay close and while it's easy to think of Hornet as a mentor for the young buck they're actually both very old beings.
>>
>>4470371
Hornet just says thing because she things Lace is immature and sees herself in her but to see anything you need use yuri googles because devs like keepings things open ended.
Ending princess carrying Lace away and they all interactions can be interpreted how you want but its still really nice its the Lace focus we get from Hornet.

Full House
>>
Between the PS2, Xbox and Wii versions FF2 has six different endings with wildly varying amounts of toxicity in the relationship between the sisters. I hope they add even more and they somehow top the Wii ending where Mio becomes completely paralyzed and Mayu lives in the village treating her like a life-sized dress-up doll.
>>
>>4470671
They confirmed there's new endings. I personally like the one with Mayu licking a teardrop from Mio's severed head.
>>
>>4470582
Cool trailer! Heard alot about this. I like how it's two sisters. Is the game actually as scary as people say?
>>
>>4470687
Personally I think the PS2/Xbox version with fixed camera angles was pretty scary and the Wii version with third-person camera not so much, mainly because a lot of the scares have to be done in a small cutscene that changes the camera angle to make sure they're framed as intended and thus you get a split-second to prepare for it. There were still effective moments though, I assume this remake will be close to the latter and keep the same camera setup since it's more "modern".
>>
>Fatal Frame 2 (re)remake
I want an ending where the sisters walk unscathed from the whole ordeal. Fuck horror games having only bad endings and worse endings.

>Is the game actually as scary as people say?
It depends what you head about it, but it has an incredibly dreadful atmosphere with great environments and sound design.
The game really wants you to take your time and soak it in, which is fixed camera works much better for it than the OTS Wii version.
For some people the spirit exorcism with the camera and an "arcade" feeling take them away from it and negatively impact the immersion but many can easily get past it.
The ending is also great, it's so frantic that it becomes uncomfortable in a great way until the release of the climax.

One issue for OG FF2 is the english dub which is really unequal in quality, sometimes it sounds great especially for the time but at other it verge on funny and makes moments fall flat. However there is an undub for it now that is pretty stable and overall the PS2 version holds great unless you're allergic to older games.

Except the game has a hand holding mechanic with two female characters. So you just look like a retard who doesn't know what you're talking about.
>>
>>4470735
They've never played it too. The game's sacrifice ceremony is a metaphor for sex where the two twin's "become one with each other". "I want to become one with you nee-chan!" The game's all about incest.

It's a yuri game where the romantic feelings between two twin sisters are core to the main story.
However talking more about it to people that never played it is, in my opinion, not the best thing as it is a game best enjoyed blind. It is not so unlike Signalis in a sense even if figuring meanings should be obvious in FF2 as it is much more straightforward.

Denying that the feelings between the girl are not romantic between the girl is quite foolish, as the series kept having both incestual themes and romance in every games after 2. Furthermore it also features several lesbian couples and characters.

>>4470749
3 is a sequel that both ties 1 and 2 and confirms that the normal mode ending is canon.
>>
>>4470749

>Fatal Frame 3's continuity is connected to Fatal Frame 2 really loosely. But FF2 has no canon ending, at least according to the director.

Fuyuhi and Haruka from 5 are not a couple but clearly in love with each other wither the constant yearning. The Curse that only affect girls features lesbians couple and the protagonist is gay herself, which is very openly stated especially in the movie.
>>
>>4470769

So if we summarize all the claims being made about Fatal Frame 2

>becoming one is literal in the game, not an actual sex thing
>the allegedly gay twin dies in the canon ending and nothing remotely yuri happens
>the alternate good endings dont feature any yuri either
>the most we get is strong codependency vibes along with the whole "twins share a soul" mumbojumbo Japs love
I dont know. This is quite the downgrade from "This is a yuri incest game".

Small devs, releasing their works on Steam and other non-Chinese platforms nearly exclusively. There is still always a risk, one that many Chinese devs are not willing to take, so they self-censor or avoid topics the CCP doesnt like on their own accord.

It was mentioned before, but there are actually companies now who help devs circumvent the censorship and blocks. Though obviously not everyone wants to pay for that.

Finally, "Chinese" isnt always China. Taiwan has no such anti-LGBT limitations, so Chinese content published through Taiwan works.

>>
>>4470842
Idk, nee-san. If there is a market, there is going to be devs to put stuff out there for that market. But if there market is raided, dismantled and under strict surveillance devs can't do much. Europe is undergoing a huge transformation. It won't restrict most of the games but who is to say it won't tighten it's grip?
>>
>>4470844
What has that to do with anything? This does not affect yuri games.

>>4470927
You are a moron. Probably a /v/tard.
>>
>>4470931
Well, it does? Saying it won't affect yuri is quite naive and short-sighted. Or you don't see what's coming in the sum of it all. There are a lot of issues right now that can in the long hinder devs to enter the market. Times are a changing and reporting people for posting what they fear will happen isn't helping to find a solution. In parts it's affecting international shipment for yuri products. Our games are almost all digital only but who is to say what the future is holding for /u/s or if we can get our hands on exclusive merchandise for a yuri game? But do go ahead and report me too. It's not like fearing the potential chaos is important in the present, yes? If I choose to cover my eyes maybe I can dream of a better tomorrow too.

>The price is shockingly low though.
They're probably going to draw it out into a 'season' thing - this is really just episode one.

Someone came into the Hella Yuri board to give the first yuri-based play report:

> In the trailer it says there are 2 female love interest: the princess and the female guard.

> Romance with women is minimal, but the upcoming part 2 promises more. In part 1, the guard has her own arc, though she's less involved as the plot intensifies. The princess is with you often but can't be romanced yet due to her crush on a man who eventually dies. Near the end, she’s upset you didn’t save him, but the Part 2 trailer hints at more interactions and reconciliation with her, including a cozy, cute moment between them on bed. So there might be a possible friends-enemies-lovers excellence

> If you’re looking for female romance, wait for Part 2. I think the studio will be brave enough to give us enough yuri romance because in Part 1 a woman hits on the protagonist and you can choose to sleep with. Also, the crown prince is in love with a man, which plays a key role in the story.

I mean, you're the one interested in it, you can look it up yourself. I don't care about Persona modding. Going by this https://gamebanana.com/tuts/15363 tutorial, everything you need to control how the dialogue is displayed is in the same file as the dialogue script, you just need to figure out the correct values to assign (and if this isn't covered by the tutorial, Persona has an active modding Discord). The biggest issue I can see is figuring out how to reenable the romance flag if it was turned off by the mod.
>>
>>4471387

It's kinda weird how dialogue choices don't have any pointers to different responses and just pick whatever is below. Also, weird how the tutorial explains how to set flags with choices but not how to make those flags a requirement for something to happen. Else/if seems like the most basic requirement for a game with branching dialogue.

This tutorial does appear to be missing some things, yeah, but I think for the purposes of rewriting a romance it's enough.

>>4471653
Nothing on the screenshot is really coding, it's using a series of tags to tell the game what images, animations and sound files to pull up. Very simply, let's say I want to create a non-phone call dialogue line for Kasumi (character 10) with the expression (bust up) 204 and default outfit (-1). I also want it to not play the audio, because I don't have a matching line, and for the same reason I won't use the lip movement flag. Put together, it's going to be something like this (probably doesn't work because I only skimmed the tutorial, but whatever, it's fine for a demonstration):
>[msg MSG_001_0_0 [Kasumi]]
>[s] [bup 0 204 -1 0] [f 3 1 1 0 0 0 0 0] Hello, world![n][f 1 3 65535][w][e]

Most of the tags seem to be well-documented, so you just need to get correct values for character busts and such. If you're going to be doing massive rewrites, audio might as well be disabled (though there are two different ways to disable it, one still displays mouth movement, the other doesn't; it's covered in the tutorial). Making cut-ins, selections, adding confidant points, etc. is also all covered in that tutorial.

Honestly Treehouse should be banned from ever translating a Fire emblem game again. If those asswipes censor the next fire emblem too they need to receive major backlash. Wait what??? I checked out of FE but I didn't know the US versions got censored
>>
>>4471871
It's not just censorships, but also just random unnecessary rewrites. But yeah, Fates and Engage in particular got heavily censored. They took out the entire head patting mechanic from Fates and rewrote a bunch of dialogue to be a lot more dumbes down. For Engage they basically erased the romances altogether and got rid of all dialogue that remotely sexualized women (some of that I actually dont mind, because it was tol het focused but whatever). They also changed one of the male characters from being a.yuri fanboy into just heing a generic art freak.
Both games have reteanslation patches. Unfortunately the fay Fates mod that added all the same-sex romances was made for the US script.

In summary, this is what happens if you reach Kawakami's Confidant rank 9/10 in the Kasumi protag mod. Unfortunately her romance isn't supported, which is a shame, because her romance is one of the best in my opinion.

>>4471836
There is some issue with the fact that this would be modifying the mod script rather than the vanilla one... but also the vanilla romance parts are left unchanged, so are they in the same file or in separate ones?
Is there just a file with all Kawakami interactions for example? I can't imagine, considering those could intersect with like.. Ann or Ryuji events when they are in the same scene etc.
>>
>>4472131
Why would you even want to romance Kawacuckme as Kasumi? She literally sleeps with old men for money.
>>
>>4472252
She doesnt. Probably a misunderstanding on your part because they talked about her working in the "sex industry", but they were jumping the gun. She just works for the maid/house cleaning service which is not prostitution. During the latter parts of her social link she considers going to the "sister company" (aka prostitution) out of desperation to pay the money, but we dont know if she would have actually gone through with it and Kasumi was there to save her anyway.
I wouldnt hold the desperation against her. She just wants to keep being a teacher and atone. Thankfully her mistress took care of it.

I believe each dialogue scene is in a separate file, including confidant scenes. You can just unpack all scripts into MSG files, and then run those files through any text editor that can search through multiple files at once (Notepad++, for example, or VS Code like pic related) to find the relevant messages.

Although there is a giant file E700_300 that contains scenes from multiple characters, and I can't quite understand why all these scenes were collected into one file. Doesn't really matter for the purpose of modding, just curious.

>There is some issue with the fact that this would be modifying the mod script rather than the vanilla one...
Modifying the modded script would actually be the preferred scenario (kinda, I think your edits might get nuked if the mod updates? not sure how Reloaded handles file conflicts), because you don't have to worry about who overrides what. If the mod has already accessed Kawakami's script to, say, change some gendered terms, you just go in after, make your changes, maybe borrow the mod maker's homework a bit, bada bing bada boom you're fucking your teacher now.

So, TGS2025 looks like it will have more announcements than normal, any wild hopes that won't come true?

I'd love to see a new Blue Reflection game, Second Light was great, especially compared to the slop that Gust makes nowadays. Even Azure Nights would be alright.
Death End Request has a comfirmed third game in development that isn't the spinoff we already got (which I didn't play and don't intend to). The second game was pretty /u/ just like Mary Skelter 2 and Mary Skelter Finale so I have some hope that they won't force a secondary MC for men to self-insert onto us.

>>
>>4472821
Meh, I'd take a third Nights of Azure but I'd rather Gust made a new IP instead of trying to continue Blue Reflection, that well has been poisoned and male MC in the gacha aside, it's a series that relied too hard on timeline resets and got tiresome to follow.
>DERQ

Atelier Resleriana is a complete failure and it still got a mainline title releasing this month. Would they do that if gacha mattered to Gust? There is only one sane answer and it's no.
>You literally said "like Maryskelter 2".
No, I wrote "like Mary Skelter 2 and Mary Skelter Finale" so I wrote about both of them, not one them isolated. If I wanted to write of them isolated I would have done that And I wrote "pretty /u/" not "/u/" without a pretty in front. Pretty means "to a moderate degree". What it doesn't mean is super or very. Which reviews specifically? Steam shows me two featured negative reviews, one complaining about a story not making sense (it does, a lot of supernatural elements and stories are just presented without explanation like you're supposed to understand why they're there, which was also the case in Chrono Jotter), and the other complaining about translation.

The translation complaint is valid, but it's not as bad as the review makes it out to be. Between the main story and the side stories, there are about 5-7 entirely untranslated lines. Sometimes pronouns are messed up, especially when the narration is talking about genderless beings like the not-dog not-girl. Names are the worst offenders, sometimes the translation will mix up the speaker and the person they're speaking to, or straight up translate the name incorrectly. If you've played Volcano Princess, the translation in this one is on a similar level, but it feels worse because there's more text. I don't think it makes it impossible to understand or like the story, but most of the issues you'll notice within the Steam refund window anyway, so might as well give it a try.
>>
>>4474147
The negative one about the translation and one of the positive reviews compared it's translation to chrono jotter and I was torn. But thank you for your review I'll probably give it a chance

Makoto is being hit on by Haru while she indirectly breaks Kasumi's heart when she gives obvious hints, forcing our protagonist to cope with nude statues and maid cafe visits.

As a general update, there have been a lot of improvements and additions to the mod. Some fix model issues (Kasumi finally doesn't keep her shoes on in bed), others fix typos or change some of the writing further. There are more bust-ups for dialogue, a new menu art variations, Kasumi's all out attack victory screen now has a white leotard variation to improve immersion if you picked her unique Phantom Thief outfit... and a lot more.
It's pretty cool to experience all these improvement firsthand in my playthrough. It might be good that I'm too busy to rush through the game. In the original P5 I would be 75% done, but in Royal, this is more like the halfway point.

I unlocked like a million date spots, I really should invite some girls to them. Right now I've mostly only taken Sumire to dates, which seems counterproductive!

I played Shuten Order.
Out of the main cast only the two girls are in love with the MC. For plot reasons they fall for her while they think she's a guy, but they stay explicitly romantically in love with her after. One of the girls expresses being into girls outside of just MC.
There are like 5 yuri kiss cgs and one of the routes is centered around the gimmick of the MC having to romance girls.
Outside of the main cast there are some yuri moments with side characters depending on route.
There's no het except for a side character with a one sided crush on MC who never confesses this crush and also dies.
There are two endings and both of them treat one of the two girls as MC's "true partner" and the better ending has the two of them go off on a journey alone together leaving everything else behind.
Also for people who don't like Kodaka he was barely involved in this. He only wrote the short prologue and was one of two writers for one other route. The game doesn't feel like his usual writing at all.
Not for everyone and not something I'd recommend playing FOR the yuri but if you like mystery VNs and would welcome yuri as a side dish this was pretty nice.
>>

If I woke up with a dozen spare millions laying around I'd spend it all on making yuri projects until I was broke again. A 1:1 adaptation hiring the LN artist for a handful of pivotal scenes, maybe get the manga artist to do the rest of the game art design to keep it consistent, contract the anime studio to make a fancy opening cutscene for the game, find an indie dev that made the style of game which fits. Then it would be stuck in development hell forever just like all o/u/r other hopes and dreams.

Yeah it got announced pretty early into the prerelease info(along with the info about one of the routes having a romance gimmick). Her being androgynous is on purpose for plot reasons and while I wasn't feeling the design at first her personality is cute and it leads to some cute scenarios so I came around on the gap moe of it.

I just finished up Love Curse: Find Your Soulmate. Went through the routes in this order: Victoria good ending > Iris gooder ending > Iris good ending > Nyx good ending > Eleanor good ending > true ending.

Victoria is my favourite girl, but Nyx had the more entertaining route, and I consider her good ending to be the actual 'true' ending, because it breaks the cycle of pain established by Chimea and Fuguang.

I can't confirm this myself quickly, because I'm not that far in the game yet and also don't want to sift through youtube videos, but a list I found said these women are romancable:

-Dora
-Eris

Take it with a grain of salt though, because the males on the list don't include Icarus, which I'm pretty sure is a romance option too. So it might be incomplete.

I finally finishd the recommendation section for visual novels. Probably didn't help that I did entire playthroughs of Fatal Twelve and Love Curse during it because I got interested myself.
This was by far the largest single genre tag, so the rest should be a lot easier. Or perhaps not, as VNDB has been very useful in organizing my work for this part of the list.
Did I mention that SonoHana's entry alone was 22 games? And somehow it still feels tragic that it were only so few. You can probably make an entire list just for yuri VNs these days.

Although I very much love visual novels, I wish there was an equal well of yuri strategy games sometimes...

Incidentally, the Assault Lily gacha hit EOS, so I could delete that entry from the list before I even got to it. I replaced that slot with Maryskelter 2.

Hades is a rogue like right
How do all the rpg elements and romance work
All I know about rogues is that you lose your shit and restart
>>
>>4476391
Hades gameplay basically consists of doing dungeon runs where the point is to get as far as you can until you beat the final boss at the end. If you fail before this you restart from the beginning and lose the skills and bonuses you gained from the last run, but the story doesn't reset and every run you fail is treated as something that happened. It unlocks more features/events and characters will comment on things you do as your runs progress and you get further. You keep building your relationships with the characters and progress the romances as normal across your runs through gifting and events etc.
>>
I just saw a YTshort where Nemesis and the goddess of the hunt are implying to be together...so this is like BG3/Pillars, the characters you don't romance romance eachother?
>>
>>4476403
What? Artemis is implied to be with Callisto.
>>
>>4476404
Which one is the little one that is wearing a boar? that said they are probably only fucking on the side or something greek like that.
>>
>>4476391
The difference between a roguelike and a roguelite basically. Roguelites keep some hard progress or permanent upgrades. In this case the story, relationships and some checkmarks will stay between each run. It is not a reset so much as another attempt at a trial. Being in the Underworld and being functionally immortal helps with that.

>>4476403
BG3 doesn't have a mechanic where your party members romance other characters if you don't pick them.
Pillars 2 only has the party members romance each other if you encourage them or follow their questline there.
Nemesis isn't with Artemis.

Three swings and a miss. Batter out!
>>
>>4476405
Artemis is often depicted wearing a bear hide in the game, not a boar. And she is not especially small. Just normal height? As for her connection to Nemesis, she is basically the only one who supports her out of all the Olympians, because she acknowledges her skill and quest, but even she is not exactly on best terms with her.
Dunno where you would get the idea they are in sexual relationship from. Artemis characterisation is generally that she is pretty detached from relationships (as expected of one of the three virgin goddesses), but she is incredibly close to the nymphs, especially Callisto, who are like way below gods. So that usually makes other gods raise some eyebrows.

The three virgin goddesses are often interpreted as lesbians though, it's not really outlandish. Their vow of celebacy and staying away from men is often very compatible with that narrative. Athena especially is like the poster child for defending women and judging men harshly.
I don't remember if Atalanta appears in HADES, but she could tell volumes of what Artemis thinks of one of her followers hooking up with a man. Oh wait, she can't really talk anymore, now can she? lol

Hey anons I was trying to get some of the yuri switch mods for 3H to work but it doesn't matter what I do, it seems like they don't actually load into it.

>>

I think the most reliable Switch emulators are Ryujinx and Suyu. If you are talking about the yuri mods from gamebanana, then they are generally made for Ryujinx.

It should generally work.
>>
>>4476473
Oh okay thank you. I'll try using that then, appreciate it!
>>

If it still doesn't work then it might be related to the version of your emulator. The reason I recommend Enbarr for testing is that it changes the title screen to say "Enbarr edition" which makes it very easy to tell if you succeeded.

Fundamental misunderstanding of how heroes work in Greek mythology. First off they are generally always male, secondly the one who succeeds is a hero as long as the gods back him. There was no moral quality needed at all. Athena was known as the patron godddess of heroes, because she taught them to solve their trials with their mind or gave them clever assists every now and then. Oddysseus is known for one thing, being pretty clever, even if he was a typical Greek asshole hero.

Medusa and Arachne are pretty specific scenarios that are too long to get into. Athena is still a prideful bitch of course, like all gods.

When I'm talking about Athena being a defender of women, that was in everyday life. Athena's cult was basically a refuge for women trying to escape men or society for one way or another as they only accepted priestesses and they had to be celibate (this varies across the centuries of course). Athena is one of the only goddesses who never shows romantic or sexual interest in men and seems to regularly punish people for sex with men in her general vicinity (often women were also punished). There is also that story of the woman who was being hunted by men who sought refuge under the statue of Athena and when the men attacked her anyway, the men where absolutely fucking obliterated for it. Hephaestus the deformed bastard, tried to rape Athena once and she stabbed him and threatened to cut his fucking balls off.

Lastly there are some poems about Athena bathing naked with nymphs because she was such good ""friends"" with them (like several verses just about her calling them her beloved etc), while the man who accidentally saw her in the bath god immediately blinded on the spot for life.

Obviously Greece was a patriarchal culture and men were dominant, so myths reflect this a lot, but the three virgin goddeses (Athena, Artemis, Hestia) were generally pretty exceptional to some of the usual themes/rules. Within the limits of what was possible.

Didn't that weird Silent Hill online game series turn /u/?
Personally, I don't exactly go looking for romance in a Silent Hill game. I'm more interested if f at least tries to tangially connect itself with the rest of the games, like a connection to the cult and shit.
>>
>>4476616
Online game series...? The Photograph one turned out to be yuri relevant, but that's the only one and it's not that good of a game.
And please don't start discussion about the irrelevant plot of the other games. f isn't yuri, that's where the conversation ends.
>>
>>4476618
That anon was talking about Ascension, where one of the playable characters managed to get a girlfriend and survive. But crumbs of yuri couldn't redeem it from being fucking Ascension
>>
>>4476619
I vaguely remember people ranting about how bad Ascension was, but I never investigated further. The one I was talking about is The Short Message, which was ok, but at least it had lesbian feelings as a major part of the plot.
>>
>>4476618
I don't have anything else to say about the topic anyway, so fine by me.
>>
>>4476477
So did it work?
>>
>>4476583
>Lastly there are some poems about Athena bathing naked with nymphs because she was such good ""friends"" with them
I once wrote a short paper on a ritual in which Athena's followers would recite a poem as they lathered up a naked statue of her with "masculine oils" that was funny to me. It was about her driving a carriage out to some forest to pick up a specific forest nymph so they could do... something. Just hang out, allegedly.
So they made a literal song and dance about her taking her ride out to go pick up a date. Except the dancing was oiling a statue of a naked woman, I believe to represent that her attendants would do so for her in these scenarios or some such.
>>
>>4476819
It's a common theme in Athena related myths and traditions. I wasn't exaggerating when I said that Athena is an iconic defender of women and a lowkey lesbian projection.
She is often villified these days for her "cruelty" and "coldhearted logic", but as far as Olympians go she is one of the most reasonable ones and quite important for female identity back in the day.

Also Artemis and Hestia both got subversive writers ruining their myths at times, like when they made up some stupid story of Artemis falling in love with Orion, some warrior dude and nearly eloping with him, when that shit goes directly against her status as a virgin goddess and ancient law. All in a move to devalue the goddess and her cult of course.

Well well, I have made it to the school festival. This is where the main plot hits a turning point, but also the first time you can have a main event with your lover.
Too bad I messed up and didn't reach the romance with Makoto yet, leading to me defaulting to Haru. It's interesting how she is the default option because you cant start her Confidant until this point yet. So you immediately start out with some of the heaviest flirting possible on a Rank 1 social link lol

So on days where Kasumi isn't being massaged by an adult woman in a cosplay costume, she changes the life of her autistic shogi "friend" for the better and randomly helps her sister awaken to her Persona in mysterious completely unrelated dungeons. Cool.

I gotta say, the way this mod handles the sisters continues to be the best. Having Sumire find her conviction about defending her and Kasumi's dream hits way harder when her sister is actually there to witness it. Although it has quite a different meaning in this context too. I can't wait to see how this all works out in the third semester.

As for the afterschool party, before I got railraoded to Haru, there is mandatory hangout with Sumire too. Honestly, look at that interaction and tell me it's not twincesty. Perhaps it's just natural due to the way the plot usually unfolds...

PS: This is why you should wear the white costume with Kasumi. If you pick the black vanilla one it can get confusing.

The floof is both wholesome and slightly sadistic. A great mix! I understand that it's a lot to ask to wait until the last third of the game (more or less) to get a proper chance to get close to her, but compared to the bullshit last month Social Link with Aigis in P3P, this is not nearly as rough. Except Aigis was part of the story since at least summer, unlike Haru.

Anyway, whether it's worth saving yourself up for her is of course subjective, but personally she is my second favorite romance option in the game. If I didn't want to give Makoto a shot I would probably have gone for the floof again. You will have to rush her Confidant a lot unfortunately, but Royal does have more content on the backend so it's still worth it imo.

Haru also has the coolest Persona design. Lady is such a boss bitch.
>>
>>4477259

That seems unlikely to me. You can't even start Haru's Confidant until October. By that time you would usually have maxed several Confidants and the Phantom Thieves are some of the easiest to level.
Ann is obviously the fastest, but Makoto is also doable due to the fact that the social stat requirement is gone in this mod, so you can hang out with her right away.
Futaba joins a bit later, but 2 months is still enough to get to her romance before Haru.
Hifumi unlocks around the same time as Futaba, so same.
The adult romances aren't an option sadly, but if they were then Takemi and Kawakami are very easy to max before you even hit the Hawaii trip (Kawakami has a romane event in hawaii, just like Ann). Ohya and Chihaya are a bit later, but still super easy if you focus a little.

So I would say no matter how you look at it, it's very possible to get to romance with any of the love interests before Haru even becomes available. The only one who comes in even later would be Kasumi in vanilla, but the mod has Sumire's Confidant which is platonic (because sisters).

Although I would recommend to level story relevant Confidants first, so it is possible to delay on romance a bit (like happened to me with Makoto right now). Though i don't know if people here would honestly focus on male Confidants, even if they are story relevant. Some of them have insanely good rewards, so I would assume that everyone understands that just focusing female social links isn't really a good ide, but who knows? At the very least I would recommend maxing Marukia and Mishima. One for story, the other for rewards.

Her romance isn't very gendered if we're talking about language. I found 12 lines of dialogue during my playthrough that have gendered terms (might be missing some barks, I didn't go looking hard for them because the blueprint system is confusing and I didn't feel like trying to see all of them in-game), and it's not very hard to change them. One thing that's harder to fix is that a lot of the dialogue from the protagonist's side has a very "woman moment" feel to it when you're dealing with Camellia's antics, but that's also rewriteable if you really care about it. WotR keeps all of its dialogue in a single file called "[language].json" (so enGB.json for English text, for example), and making a simple mod that replaces those lines is very easy. Inserting new lines is where it gets trickier.
>>
>>4477637
Dont forget the garbage sex scenes that are cearly written between a male and this whore.
The thing is, there are actually (het) mods to fix the bitch. Like rewrites that allow you to redeem her or at least make her more sane even for an evil player. Marriage included.

If someone rewrote and gender unlocked that mod it would be actually useful.
>>
>>4477639
Why would you want that? One of the best things about her is that she isn't redeemable. If you want to marry her then you should kinda be forced to accept that you'll likely never change her.
>>
>>4477641
>why do you want this romancable character to be sane and not a one-dimensional murderhobo??
Deep thoughts. But did you consider that if you want to romance her you should accept that she is only into men? While we are at it, this whole modding thing is pointless altogether. Only the original intent for the character is acceptable, yeah?

>>
>>4477639
>Dont forget the garbage sex scenes that are cearly written between a male and this whore.
I don't recall the text in or around the sex scenes being gendered. The animations are fucked if you use the romance gender unlock feature, yeah, because from my very basic understanding, they have spots assigned to male actors and female actors, and when you remove the lock you don't actually change these assignments, so your female KC and Camellia are assigned to the same spot. This requires more Unity modding knowledge than I have (which is zero), so I ultimately gave up on the idea of making this into a proper mod.

>Like rewrites that allow you to redeem her or at least make her more sane even for an evil player. Marriage included.
You can take those and just change the text if you really wanted to. I'm not familiar with any mods that heavily rewrite her romance other than the one that adds ending slides for every mythic path (and that one, inexplicably, supports female KC right out of the box), so I don't know how much they modify. Though if they add cutscenes, those might be fucked for the same reason as vanilla cutscenes.
>>
>>4477724
>This requires
Changing this* requires

Same thing for the gender lock, actually. I thought simply making one dialogue option unconditionally visible would be easy, but from what I remember it also requires fucking around with blueprints. Granted, I didn't look too deep into it.
>>
>>4477724
>I'm not familiar with any mods that heavily rewrite her romance
Owlcat themselves acknowledged Camellia's romance/marriage mod in one of their communtiy posts about prolific WotR mods, so I know it exists. But obviously I never looked into it more as she's locked to male KCs.
Personally I don't know why you would even want to go for the bitch. Even my redemption fetish isn't that powerful. And with the existing much better romance options and the interesting possibilities with the expanded romances mod, I think we are spoiled for choice.

Because her murderhobo vibes are funny. If you have a redemption fetish, there's Arue. In fact, my biggest complaint would be that you're forced to do some half-assed redemption shit to set the true romance flag.
>>
>>4477736
I will never understand edgelords like you. What a waste of time.
>>
>>4477730
>the expanded romances mod
Also, since I have the excuse to talk about this one now, the writing in it is very much not great. Like "I'm desperate for lesbian fiction and all I have is this lousy fanfiction.net story"-tier. It works for some of the characters like Nocticula because she's basically a lean mean fuck machine that doesn't need a whole lot of reason to start a tryst with you, but someone like Terendelev just doesn't work as a stuttering blushing maiden.
>>
>>4477741
Well Terendelev is uh... kinda dead for most of the game. So I still don't understand how this romance works. I think a dragoness who is usally tough and majestic being cute and blushy in romance is not entirely unappealing, but I get why that might be off-putting.
On the other hand I can totally see it work for that over the top demon bitch Minagho or for the already chaotic halfling spawn of madness that is Nurah. Aranka is already a whimsical character on the most chaotic path (that isn't just a meme like Trickster).
Targona... well honestly I never played the Angel path so I know nothing about her. Apparently the romance mod has high reactivity from her on nearly all Mythic paths though?

Point is, aside from Terendelev none of these would actually require much pathos or super eloquent writing.

Sometimes murder / war is the only option to make your land understand that yuri is the only option.
>>
>>4477764
From what I recall, the way they wrote around Terendelev being dead is that you find her scales, bring them to the Storyteller, and through his memory-reading magic you meet a suspiciously Terendelev-shaped woman with amnesia. And Targona's book page and slide count is about twice as high as the next highest one, so I wouldn't be surprised if she actually interacted with every Mythic path. She even has lines for the lich KC.

>aside from Terendelev none of these would actually require much pathos or super eloquent writing
I wasn't looking for super eloquent writing when I installed an 80k+ word count romance mod, but I was at least hoping it would match the game's style better. I can't describe it well because I'm also very bad at writing, but if you've read amateur/fanfiction writing before, you'll see the same patterns: missing punctuation, actions are described in short sentences that go one into another with zero flourish, certain words or turns of phrase are repeated, sometimes within the same page, etc. This page is a good example:

>"You know, now that my wing is all better, and you've grown proper wings, we can take a different route.\"\n{n}Targona lets go of your hand and takes flight. Hovering before you, she turns back and motions for you to follow. As you take to the air she starts moving. You chase her all over Drezen with her looking back and winking every so often. You can hear the amazement of the people on the ground seeing the heroes of the Crusade above their heads, but your focus is solely on the beautiful angel you are chasing. After several minutes have passed, you catch up to her, or perhaps she lets you catch her.

It's not the worst thing I've ever read, but the content of the romance itself wasn't particularly interesting, so I just ended up ignoring/skipping these events about halfway through the game.
>>
What's great about Arue's romance is that, depending on what Mythic Path you choose, not only can you redeem her, she can also redeem YOU.

Also, she can have magic babies with a female KC. That alone elevates her romance to the top-tier of any /u/ RPG romance list.
>>
>>4477779
To be fair to the mod, it's a work in progress. I don't think it has even reached the 1.0 stage yet. It's impressive enough at the state it is in.
The excerpt you posted seems fine to me. It's not like the base game had some grand prose for most of those romances.
>>
>>4477792
Those children are really only relevant to an epilogue slide and super missable. Like first of all you need to have the Dance of Masks DLC and then you need to pick an extremely speciifc dialogue option with no indication midway though.
>>
>>4477803
Still counts.
The only other RPG /u/ romance that can have magic/science babies that I can think of is in Mass Effect with Liara.
>>
>>4477813
...what? I don't remember any Liara kids. Then again, I never romanced her past ME1. But I did look into most romances later.
There are certainly more games with yuri romances and children. I mean if you count Rune Factory as a JRPG series, then you got magic children right there.
Otherwise adoption is pretty common.
>>
>>4477823
The stuff about children with Liara is in ME2's Shadow Broker DLC and ME3.

>Otherwise adoption is pretty common.
Yeah and that's fine, but it just doesn't have same kinda impact, for a lack of better word, that science/magic babies do.
>>
>>4477828
I played Shadowbroker and I don't remember any Liara/Shep children...

If magic babies is all that matters then it cant get much more magic than the magic tree/turnip children in RF5/Azuma like I said.
Volcano Princess also has magic babies, at least if Rose marries Mona.
I don't think you actually get to see it, but in Potionomics if you date the moth girl, she says that her parents expect her and Sylvia to make many grandchildren for them and she seems 100% convinced that this will happen, so I guess in that universe magic babies exist too.

I ask because it's been over half a year since the mod's release and I've gotten feedback from all of one (1) user who's played it. It's difficult for me to tell if the radio silence means people are happy with it or are running from it.

The Void DLC is some of the best content in the game and very well integrated. But as with all Owlcat games I recommend waiting for them to release most of the story DLCs before playing it. Unless you like doing multiple playthroughs of course.
>>
>>4478202
Anon is clearly operating on outdated info, dont worry As for feedback, the sad reality is that unless something is broken, people rarely comment on mods, unless they are for super popular games.
>>
>>4478197
For your first question, no. Owlcat has yet to do a lesbian-exclusive romance.

The first of the next story DLCs would come out in the middle of next year and the other after possibly in 2027. I'd say now is as good a time as any for anon to start playing.

What I was more referencing was that I had heard the bath house stuff was glitched and didn't work well. But I admittedly haven't heard anything in a long time. I might have to try out your mod because I always was told rf4 was really good but the fact that it was the last game with no real yuri, put me off from doing it
>>
>>4478245
I waited till 2024 to play WotR, so it aint that weird.
>>
>>4478251
That's three years to Rogue Traders potential four years (and counting). There's also Dark Heresy, which they're developing, so that could cut into the development time of the DLC, too.
>>
>>4478252
They got too many projects anyway. Maybe they shouldnt have made a second season pass then.
>>
>>4478195
The navigator mutation is actually pretty stable. If they do mutate further it's because they got too close to a particularly strong Warp anomaly, or got the attention of a particularly powerful Warp entity, or the Gellar Fields flickered. Then you get the toad.
>>
Speaking of Pathfinder. Starfinder (Pathfinder in SPACE) is getting a game. No release date yet, but the devs have confirmed that there will be romances. Seems pretty cool.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/3245640/Starfinder_Afterlight/
>>
>>4478278
I'm always raring for another sci-fi RPG with yuri, no matter what form it comes in. The artstyle doesn't feel much like a western TTRPG, so I assume the devs are taking some liberties.

People have played it for like 24 hours now so someone tell me if Yotei has any yuri or if I can safely forget it.

There are no confirmed romances in Ghost of Yotei, though the developers have hinted at the protagonist Atsu forging "connections" and "unlikely allies".

After like 80 hours it finally happened. Kasumi found love (and lost her virginity). Celebrations all around!
Let's just hope the stalker cat was taking a long walk that night... and that Futaba got rid of all the recording devices in Leblanc.

Makoto is such a dork, but I think her sense of justice and responsibility really jive with a Kasumi who is more focused on doing the just thing rather than just the thrill of being a Phantom Thief.

Looking forward to Christmas and Valentines to see the special romance events. Dates are also different if you do them while romancing a Confidant, so that's also gonna be cute.
>>
>>4478316
Because beggars can't be choosers.
Also, even though they aren't /u/ exclusive, they're still pretty good and I feel that Owlcat is doing a good job at filling, and arguably exceeding, the void left by Bioware.
>>
>>4478260
There's also a chance that at least one of those DLCs is one of those battle gauntlets they had in the past.

>>4478267
That'll happen eventually, though. And Cassia is already more mutated than an average navigator would be when they start serving on ships.

Would be hard to interpret what happens towards the end of rank 10 romance Confidants otherwise. Especially with the previous line Makoto said.
Then again, Kawakami's romance is all about how she wants to properly wait until protag is old enough and leaves the school, so they would never cross that line so early and it still says something similar. Maybe it depends on the girls. I don't think even these devs would imply something sexual with Futaba... maybe.
>>
>>4478202
I started playing with your mod a few weeks ago and I really enjoy it! I played the OG a bit too long ago to notice all of the changes, but I suppose it's a testament to the mod's quality that it feels like it could have been official. Frey in particular is a treat to read; she seems to have much more personality than I remember.

As far as Futaba goes, I'm pretty sure all the christmas dates imply something sexual even if the social link doesn't.

>I played the OG a bit too long ago to notice all of the changes...
Alas, this is something that I expected. The mod is, by its nature, enabling: It offers people who otherwise wouldn't play the original the opportunity to play the game. Yet, at the same time, one would have to have played the original (or LPR, I suppose) to really understand the mod's full scope. It's an unfortunate yet likely unavoidable reality.

But I'm admittedly fine with that. If the mod opens the game up to more people to enjoy, then I can at least reassure myself that the year and a half I spent on it was not entirely wasted.

Well Kawakami's Christmas date doesn't imply something sexual, but as you said it's not really relevant. I can't imagine Futaba has more going on then just spending the night though.
It's hard for me to get over the little sister energy she has. But the non-incestuous kind, unlike Sumire. Kasumi basically getting adopted into the Sakura family over the course of the game is one of the best parts of P5.

>>4478452
Futaba is the orange haired glasses girl. She is 15, although she acts younger due to being a shut-in. Hard to believe Kasumi and her are the same age...
>>
>>4478445
She's also the homeroom teacher so there is a conflict of interest and potential abuse of power at play, so she wants it to be proper.
The other adult romances have no such hesitation.

>>4478448
There are no lolis involved here other than the twins and those are not a proper romance. Not even when they fuse back into Lavenza. Although there is a strong implication that she has a crush on Kasumi if you maxed the twins' Confidant beforehand.

That really depends on how yuri you need it to be. Or if you want real cards in real life. Because there is an actual real life yuri card game.
Otherwise... Shadowverse has a lot of yuri related cards and there used to be a semi-meta yuri deck. But I don't know if the Shadoverse sequel has any of those cards yet, because I don't play that game.
Yu-gi-oh actually has a lot of yuri card lore, especially in recent years, believe it or not. Might wanna check out the Yu-gi-oh thread for more info.

There were more meaningful additions in the update but yeah, the bond level cap is pretty pointless. Beyond the 10s where you get the cutout recipes the characters just give you their own loved gifts and get small stat bonuses, not that they're ever particularly useful in combat. There's a new endgame combat gauntlet where you're pit against many waves of strong enemies at once and you're pretty much on your own there, party members will get slaughtered unless you spend time and money on equipping them properly.

>>
>>4477241
I know it's been a while, but I thought of another potential issue that you could fix. Maybe your rom is the problem. Not because of the area code, but because there are different types. There are decrypted roms and roms that are "headered" and "unheadered" and so on. I'm not too familiar with the topic, but I heard that sometimes mods/hacks only work on specific types. Might be worth looking into trying different FE3H roms.
>>
>>4479431
I thought about that but I downloaded my rom from one of the site listed on Reddit so I wouldn't think that'd be an issue but it could be
>>
>>4479432
You said the rom itself worked so it does what it should. But that doesn't necessarily account for mods.
>>
>>4479384
No she's just addicted to writing mostly homosexual VNs, very understandable. The bulk of what she's doing is writing. All the other aspects are commissioned (music, most character designs); so that's how she has so many of these in so many stages of development
>>
>>4479462
Anon, I write fanfics and books and I had times where I wrote at least 6 stories simultaneously (plus one-shots). It was a bad time. I can assure you that if you want your work to be good you need to give it room to breathe. Occasionally if you are deep in the flow, you can crank out great stuff in a short time, but this is an anomaly.

I will add that I have read plenty of ebihime's VNs, so I think I can say pretty confidently that a lot of playtime in those VNs is filler. Sometimes interesting, at times entertaining, but filler nontheless. And a lot of those older ones that are well liked were not even churned out on a factory belt like they are now.

Unless she has a co-writer to rely on for some of these projects, this will undoubtedly hurt the quality. There is a reason we call Winged Cloud VNs "fast food". The frequency content gets delivered at is usually an indicator of the amount of effort put into it. Of course there are counter-examples where constant writer's block and delays have hurt a work too, I won't deny that. But how much proofreadingh and revisions can really be put into a work if you have 6 more lined up that demand your attention?
Furthermore I take issue with her "just" being the writer. Just handing a script to someone and telling them to make a VN out of it is a backwards way to approach creating art. Usually a writer is heavily involved with the production of the game, to properly incorporate and adjust their ideas.

I'm not going to claim that ebihime's works are bad now or will be, but it is sad to see this kind of work ethic and how it will clearly make works that could have been brilliant less so.

This appeared on Hella Yuri. The disclaimer says only the portraits and some event art were created with AI tools and the rest was made with existing bought assets or by the dev.
Looks decent for a solo dev project and we certainly are lacking in TBS games with yuri. Lots and lots of text it seems (which explains how a solo dev managed to make a 100+ hour game).
Tried to crossreference the reviews. Most of them seem to be real people. A few of them are a bit suspicious. Might be a couple of bots or friends of the dev.

But whatever, the content still seems to be up to snuff. The discussion forum makes clear that a female PC can romance women.
