>>4531863>モブヘブンAuthor doesn't appear to have any yuri cred but it has a few scenes with a level of closeness that would not unusual in non-yuri work so it is hard to say one way or the other. Looks like it will be a comfy subtext series at a minimum at least.
https://www.amiami.jp/top/detail/detail?gcode=FIGURE-198560Preorders are up. Looks great and 24,250 yen is less than I expected although its still expensive since the shipping will be painful. Is it a good idea to preorder this now or is it safe to wait? I don't really want to drop that much money right now if it isn't shipping until 2027.
>>4531941AI Datacenters will begin buying up all yuri figures soon so do not wait
putting together my shelf. wish i had some acrylic stands for my postcards, but i’ll have to wait until tomorrow
>>4531863>宮田愛萌https://twitter.com/lily_novel/status/2026600443078651912Into the trash it goes. I thought she was better than this.New reminder to never buy yuri novel anthologies blindly.
If a book had a preorder bonus that you wanted but you didnt own all the previous volumes, would you buy all released volumes to complete the set?
>>4534494Do you mean if I did own all the previous volumes? I've done it on the rare occasion when it only meant re-buying a 2-3 volumes and the bonus was nice, but I skip it when it is a long series. If I didn't own the series at all yet then of course I'd buy the whole series at once and get the bonus.
>>4534494I think I've actually done that before. Or I at least waited until a special volume bundle was available when I got into a series late enough to miss early volumes.
https://twitter.com/garden_pri42819/status/2029472555883770107Is this only the merch of an event? No way to buy it online?
>>4535686Prism garden is in person only so for the time being this is all exclusive to people who get tickets and go to the event. No way to know if they'll sell them later on at melon but it is unlikely.
>>4535707What a waste. Why would they want to sell less?Because they know if everybody could buy online nobody would go to their event?
>>4535976Japan just really likes pop up shops and exclusive event items. I don't know why it happens this way but it means having to buy everything secondhand.
I'm late to the party, so pic related has been exceedingly hard/annoying to find anywhere that isn't from resellers/scalpers.Luckily, it seems they keep doing reprints because apparently, they do want money.
>>4536728I preordered mine and it just shipped from animate recently despite coming out a month ago so even the early stock was hard to come by.
https://twitter.com/kudo_eru/status/2031277344279937236
Retarded question I know, but this’s Yuzuki and Fuuko right?
>Prism garden is physical only>Yurihime 20th anniversary goods were physical onlyPlease just take my money already.
>>4535686Damn just came here to ask this. Really wanted some of these acrylics..
>>4537845I just did a quick count and there are over 20 revealed and I want almost all of them. I guess I should be thankful they are preventing me from impulse buying over 44,000 yen on plastic.
https://www.melonbooks.co.jp/detail/detail.php?product_id=3341213This is the first time a lottery's lowest level prize is the one I want the most. I wish they'd just sell a set of the whole yurirei cast like this so I wouldn't have a near-0 probability of getting the whole set without buying an insane number of tickets.
What's your rarest yuri item
>>4538862not sure how you'd determine the rarity, but i have all the english Galette books + booklet/postcards released so far, some booth merch from morinaga and hakamada including signed canvases, all the girls last tour nendos including the kettenkrad, and an Adashima poster signed by the cast.I also have the special edition bluray of 'a place further than the universe', and all the watamote plushies if you want to count those as yuri too
>>4538862A bunch of signed and signed/illustrated books which are extremely difficult to enjoy since they don't display well and I don't want to ruin it by reading that copy. The illustrations on some of them are incredible but there's no good way to put that anywhere without risking damage. I have a few very low print run yuri items like framed art from an old yuri fair or kickstarter/campfire items. I think most yuri merch is generally rare in comparison to other things or it at least feels that way sometimes with how impossible it is to get some items after they sell out. The rarest yuri items I have are one of one hand drawn art shikishi which I was lucky enough to receive.
Is ECMS back?
Goodsmile just doubled the shipping price for US customers again...
>>4539375I thought so but I bought a single yuri book with buyee and the only shipping option they have is airmail at 6000 yen. It is a $10 book under 400 grams. What the fuck. I forward normally and only did this because there was no other easy way to buy from toranoana. Would have been cheaper buying from a scalper secondhand.
>>4527898 Update from last thread, but it turns out the high price really was because of the large amount of items on the order. $80 of it was the “entry-line charge after first 3 lines” fee, $20 combined for the PGA disclaimer fee and disbursement fee; and only about $20 for the actual tariffs. Absurd.Sticking with Fedex for the time being now that it has DDP, hopefully my tariff exempt items stay properly exempt and they don't try to charge me for my manga. Is ECMS doing DDP too? Also apparently buyee has raised their fee from 300 to 500, for those that use that proxy>>4539375Looks like it for me.

However now that it's complete I can finally make my bulk order using a proxy to get it, AyaHiro 2, Kanojo no kuchidzuke kansen suru libido and a couple of other stuff blocked by Amazon, maybe I'll throw inside a few doujinshi too but I'm worried about fees and shipping costs considering the current world situation. I've received an email by ZenMarket telling me they're increasing prices but fortunately only for auctions (for now).
the paper bonuses that come with manga (not postcards, but the thin slip of paper), are weird. i have no idea what to do with them so i just place them between the pages
It's out of any decency. They could also give you more than a 1% discount on future orders... I always hear people talking about the insane discounts amazon gives them while I've never got more than 1%.
>>4542395I use art portfolio books to store all my extras because a lot of leaflets I get are sometimes bigger than the book. Helps keep them nice but it is impossible to sort them because I have too many now.>>4542427It is probably better for people who can get amazon jp credit cards since they give a lot more points back. Still that shipping is pure pain. I can't take the endless price hikes
>>4542474>a lot of leaflets I get are sometimes bigger than the bookfor those little booklets, i just put them in the obi of a random kirara manga since theyre slightly bigger than standard sized manga
Why won't they simply sell acrylics? Or cards with these illustrations? No store exclusives, no omake of a volume, and on a store that will ship abroad. I would buy a ton.
And they don't stop coming.
>>4543093I used to be more concerned about collecting a few extra copies of the books but the yen is so valueless now I don't even care. Shipping is the only thing that makes this difficult now.
Sold my >english copies of 2beya. I’d like to replace them with jp copies.
>>4543166Shipping going up 3x in the past year is incredibly annoying. It pisses me off.
>>4544026I spent $400 this month on import shipping. Meanwhile ordering all the yuri I can get my hands on in a month costs me less than that. It is obscene.
>want to buy majo to tsukaima>also want some manga from cdjapanAAHHHHH I DON'T WANT TO PAY SHIPPING TWICE
Spicy.i really like the prism garden acrylics so far
WataTabe's BD is a very cheap edition, it doesn't have a real box but it's just a cardboard band with no bottom so shit falls through it, but it has the best extra I've seen in a lot of time: cards with the endcards illustrations and an extra manga chapter (though the story wasn't yuri-focused).
Who else has given their hard earned money to Kickstarter in exchange for fictional lesbians recently?
>>4544544>i really like the prism garden acrylics so farme too and i cry everytime a new one gets revealed because they will not be up for sale online.
>>4546145it won't be my first time scouring the second hand market for months, doing daily refreshes of mercari jp
Does melonbooks ever restock on preorder bonuses? I missed some acrylics that I wanted that released last november..
>>454701499% of the time, no. Most bookstore bonuses are one print run that sells out around the release date. If it is a popular series it may have a 2nd wave reprint immediately after it runs out, or if it gets an anime or something they may reprint the bonus for the entire series as a bulk purchase bonus.
>>4547017Good to know. I managed to pick up a few LNs that still had the acrylics, so are those just prints that never got sold?
>>4547020Yeah some of the less popular items sit around for a long time. I've picked up months old bonus items like acrylics or special edition volumes on occasion and always feel like I was lucky to catch it in time. Sadly I still miss out on new releases occasionally since some things sell out a week or two before their release date. Just missed out on an acrylic I wanted this month but I buy too many anyway so I've stopped feeling the sting as much.
I haven't shipped any of my yuri since october but now is the time to send it home. I have about 45kg of merch, manga, doujinshi and so much yuri goodness coming this month that I'm not sure what I'm going to do.
>>4547436Good fucking luck.
>japanpost to resume shipping to USsurely this will make buying books more bearable.
>>4548700Great. Of course this happens right after I shipped my yuri haul with DHL and they misclassified it as miscellaneous automobile parts and charged me a huge tariff that I have to now fight to get refunded.
Prism Garden continues to release great stuff we will never be able to get.
>>4548995Just saw another post I wanted and immediately came here. It hurts.
>LG2S gets a physical release:)> It cost me $60 to get it shipped:(
>>4548995The KimiShinu one is also really cute. It's not fair.
what should i do with a4 sized posters? honestly i just have them lined up with my larger books.
>>4549219Oh good it just turned out LGR is just incompetent and I'm not being charged $60
>>4548995I can't imagine how much I would spend if they had an online shop shipping abroad.
>>4549292Theyre missing out on free money
>>4549219Last time I ordered lrg was fatal twelve's collector edition which was overpriced for what it had in it, but I couldn't resist it. Now that I know lrg standard editions are easy to find for cheap later I don't know I will ever have the urge to overspend on extra trinkets unless they do something interesting. Stickers, a keychain and a pin are not it.>>4549279I have a bunch of art portfolios to collect most of them because they add up real quick You can page through it like a book and breathe in that unique plastic smell they have. It also keeps them clean since the plastic rubbing against itself creates turns them into a dust magnet. I have acrylic stands that fit them to put it on a desk for displaying it. Also just have a regular picture frame on my wall that was the right size to display whatever I want to put in it.
>>4549362I'm easily lead by fictional lesbian media. Yeah it's not much but it'll be nice to look at
New increase for all YH volumes.

The third volume of MyGO!! will get a drama cd, why didn't Ave Mujica get it?
I haven't shipped anything I bought since last september and just started receiving it all this week. I received about 35kg of months old yuri this week and I have another 15kg coming next week. If something was missing I don't even think I'd notice since it is such a massive pile of yuri. I am slowly working my way to check everything I received and so far only one obi is ripped which is a miracle. If I was better at taking pictures I would do something to share the experience of the most massive yuri haul unboxing I've ever had.
>>4550069What service keeps your stuff for 6 months before shipping it?
Nice to see that we're getting more dual-character yuri figures
>>4550084Holy shit they actually did it. It's a really cute pose as well. I'll buy 2.
>>4550084I usually don't buy scales anymore because i've had terrible luck with them, and i'm always anxious that they're going to start leaning, but i might bite the bullet and buy this one since it's a two-person figure and i assume the position theyre in would remove the possibility of leaning
>>4550081It was a temporary free storage extension because of tariffs. You can't get it as a normal perk unfortunately.
https://www.amiami.jp/top/detail/detail?gcode=FIGURE-198560I really want to buy this but I'm worried how much damage the shipping and tariffs will cause me when it comes out.
TensoJapan is 6 months always
How can they cover the costs for all this stuff without selling online?
>>4551122
sms verification each loginMelonbooks is kill…
>>4551144What the fuck. They even have that annoying popup advertising a forwarding service on their website. Do they just not understand that no one outside of jp has a phone number they accept? Other stores like gamers and animate at least evolved with the times. Melon has all the best extras too. I had a ton of prize items I didn't ship yet. I'm going to throw up if I can't get back into my account now to send them.
>>4551155Researching ways around this and the best choice looks like it will be to pay for a jp phone number 2FA service that charges you every time you use it. So every login will cost money now, which is extra annoying because melonbooks has a really short cookie timeout that signed me out all the time.
>>4551155>>4551161I always used a proxy to buy from melonbooks so I don't have to register myself, I don't even know if I'd be able to pay with my card and the site isn't even reachable from my country.
>>4551144>>4551155I'm glad I made an account before they started mandating phone numbers, but I also really wonder wtf they are thinking. If they strictly didn't allow filthy gaijin money that'd be one thing, but they heavily advertise all the cooperation with proxies and forwarders and introduced Rakuten pay to replace Visa/Mastercard.>>4551171>and the site isn't even reachable from my country.Same, but at least that I know I can blame on the controlfreak gerontocracy running this country instead on melonbooks.
>>4551183>instead of melonbooksI don't know, it's not like the site is blocked, I just get hit with picrel every page I try to visit.
Why do they hate money…
>>4551183I made my account before phone numbers were required for activation as well, but now I can't login because it wants to verify my phone number. What can I do? My yuri is being held prisoner.
>>4551231Yeah, that means they're blocking you. I have to use a VPN every time I go there only to be able to get link for my forwarder to order.
>>4551258Why would they block me though, do they hate money like the anon above said?I wouldn't bother with japanese sites anyway, the payment is yet another problem, I just let proxies do their job for me, despite the high costs, the annoying thing is having to use a VPN to get the links.I will never understand why japanese are so against trading abroad and have to make everything more difficult. It's weird how cdJapan dropped BDs too, they don't have WataNare, they don't have AyaHiro 2 despide I bought the first series from them since Amazon blocked it for no reason.
>>4551338>Why would they block me though, do they hate money like the anon above said? Its always hard to say, because a lot of the time the answer is apparently they actually do hate money. But in some cases its the country having some retarded legislation they don't want to deal with. DLsite is probably the only site I can think of that cleanly doesn't hate money and really is just getting fucked over. Melonbooks is probably 50:50.I wished I had a solution to offer, but I'm just glad it doesn't affect me (yet). Though I fear one day I won't be able to get my yuri any other way than by picking it up physically in japan.
>>4551569>retarded legislationBut they won't sell directly to that country since they don't ship abroad. Even if there was some kind of problem with the destination country it would be deal with by the forwarder/proxy that's the one shipping there.
Muraskino/Shinoa’s planned doujin restocks just started. Make a Mark, By My Side and 来週、雨が降ったら for today, more to come.
>>4551584Thanks, grabbed what I could instantly, but I can't believe I woke up an hour late just to see the last one run out of stock. Luckily it is being reprinted next month again. After waiting for what feels like a decade to get these I'd say that isn't too bad though.
is it better to ship through ECMS or Fedex economy to US?
>>4551584It’s not even a day… guess I’ll have to wait another month. At least she’s committed to keep restocking through 2026.
>>4551876There are horror stories for ECMS but that isn't exclusive to them so its up to your local experience. I haven't had an issue with them yet. If it is saving you a lot and you don't mind the risk it may be worth it, otherwise fedex is probably what I would pick since it would be difficult or impossible to replace yuri merch that already went out of stock months ago. It also depends on whether ECMS offers insurance on the package for me. In both cases you will want DDP to prepay the tariff and avoid getting surprise bills later. I'm still waiting for fedex to bill me on entry fees for a box I got 2 weeks ago and I'm worried they'll mess it up and overcharge or forget to bill me and then ban my address for not paying.
>>4551891last time i used fedex was before DDP, and they didn't bill for until 2 weeks later
>>4551891What's wrong with ECMS?
>>4551144Why would you need to log in? Arent proxy services good enough if you’re doing international shipping?
If my reading comprehension and Google Translate can be trusted, the Prism Garden goods will be available online after all. Great news.https://x.com/i/status/2048674625761296763
>>4552274With the phone verification thats going on, I hope they dont sell out when ordering through a proxy.
>>4552274Here it goes all my money.I don't know if my free VPN is strong enough to browse fast before everything goes out of stock.I hope they'll made a page with all the items listed so I don't have to go crazy looking for them.God please, don't make them go out of stock one minute after they start selling them.
>>4552275I dont think Melonbooks sells outside of JP anyways so you will need a proxy regardless
>>4552276No way they sell out that fast, right?
I already felt bad that Prism Garden wasnt available online. To make it worse, they make it available but with melonbooks blocking my account. Why do they continue to tease me.
Is Amazon taking much more than normal to ship orders in the last months for anybody else?Evertything is in stock but last month it took 3 weeks to ship it and now this.
Speaking of ECMS, has anyone used it with the tariffs yet? How good are they at correctly marking stuff like Manga so they dont get tariffed? Its a good like 40% cheaper than the other shipping options for me
>>4552432Whenever I used ECMS it was always DDP so any tariffs and fees get baked into the shipping cost. Check if your shipper is using DDP with it and you would be in the clear.
>>4552274Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but this “special store” is just for exchange vouchers to pick up the acryllics in person?
>>4552545That's my understanding as well but I hope they will surprise us with an actual webstore for mail order.
Has anyone figured out how to bypass the new wave of melon 2fa restrictions? My yuri purchasing is being held hostage by this
It's tomorrow. Is there any confirmation we can buy Prism Garden's stuff on Melonbooks or not?
>>4553301I doubt after a month of hyping in-person ticket sales that they would undermine this with a full mail order site to buy things, but it doesn't hurt to dream?
>>4553301i got an american express card specifically for this and its looking like the online shop isnt happening. now i have a new credit that i dont even need or want
>>4553301At most they might sell leftover stock if there is any. But I'm probably gonna have to monitor mandrake and ebay for a while.
>>4553301i doubt it, which is disappointing since i love collecting keychains. Gonna have to spend a fortune on the 2nd hand market
Just let me give you money...
i want them both but im not sure what i would do with the tapestry. its pretty big for what i usually get

>>4554084>site is downplease
>>4552971They finally made an option for email 2FA and activated it for my account. Only needed to send a message saying I couldn't sign in and asked for the email option then verified my account details to get it done. The yuri blockade has been lifted.
missing out on prism garden is like getting sick and missing out on your highschool graduation... i wanna go too... The prices secondary market prices i've seen online are already pretty bad
>>4554143i might buy a few. the price is steep for what it is so ill only buy ones that i really want
>>4554143Are they already online? They prefer to sell to those bastard scalpers instead of actual fans.
https://kshiroru.booth.pm/items>the canvas is already out of stock
>>4554201while I do agree scalpers are all faggots, i think in this specific case we kind of need them.
>>4554212That's just because the already produced ones sold out. Only a few were probably made in advance. I see a listing for the made to order canvas that takes longer to ship out. Also who/what is this and why is all this relatively generic yuri merch interesting?
How would one go about on displaying or storing mini shikishi's?
>>4554302Stores sell tiny binders specifically made to hold them. I have a bunch of them and wouldn't really recommend it because the binders are flimsy and it doesn't seal them in so they fall out easily when looking through it. You could also get picture frames or art stands and put them on display on a wall or shelf.
>>4554302i put them in my standard shikishi binder because i dont know where else to put them. Like the other poster said, a lot of the ones specifically designed for them are pretty cheaply made like the seria/mycolle ones (though the standard shikishi binders i've tried aren't much better).I was thinking of getting a photo album for 5x7 photos for them since that's a pretty common size, but i'm not sure how well that'd work for them. Unrelated by why does are sideloading albums so common? they're so susceptible to sliding out, but apparently japs like them because whenever i find a toploading one theres always someone in the reviews complaining about it being toploaded
>$50 acrylic from melonbooks bonus released in 2023Ugh why am I so tempted
