Welcome to another Heaven Burns Thread, where unisons are our butter and bread.5.3 hit like a hurricane and left behind so many tears. All the NanaTezu art is a true testament to that too. Having the Commander as a SS unit after all this time was great too, but for the first time in a while we got a proper yuri unison style with MeguTama! We got the extremely gay Amari Snap Event which was just a date between the two, full stop. We got Escort Ruka who has all the gay homsecreen lines. We got an endless flood of KareTsuka art. It's truly a good time for HBR yuri.

She literally lost her childhood friend, the only one she ever cared about as a kid, to a Cancer attack. Her entire focus is thus on helping her friends and protecting them. She will push herself to her limit because she cares.So this entire stupid scenario Maeda made for her where she forgets everything to make her a "normal girl" so she can be retraumatized by the world and harden her heart is extremely dumb. Steeled Wakki is pointless and does nothing or her character arc. Realizing that the world is cruel is completely pointless for a character like Wakki who cries every night as her dearest friend loses all memories of their time together because of the head injury she received when she protected her.And what is the actual point of having a steeled Wakki? To talk sense into Karerin and push her into a corner. That's literally the only reason all of this shit was pushed on Wakki. So she can be harsh enough to push Karerin into action. This could have been achieved without the pointless filler and making Wakki rant about how she could have been some dude's girlfriend if she had kept having amnesia. We literally have a dozen characters who could have filled that role. Maeda has 31B and 30G in his hands. Ichigo and Sumomo are literally killers who had to harden their hearts all their lives. Their hands are just as bloodstained as Karerin's! Tsukishiro lost Kura and still perserveres despite feeling responsible for the deaths of the two people that meant most to her. How could these people who directly went through something similar as Asakura Karen not be a better choice than making Wakki into someone she is not? 5.2 was almost my favorite chapter, but the Wakki parts drag it down severely.

I beat Miya's Snap Even for now.So this was not really as good or funny as Yukki's choose your own adventure Snap, but it still had a lot of fun stuff going on. As a concept I love Miya having to choose between her long time crush Class Rep Yuina and the new transfer student Ruka. Classic dating sim set up and both are crushes hinted at in the main story.Karen-chan seems like a really random option, but over the course of the game you realize she isn't really here as a romance option, but rather as a self-aware piece of code telling Miya to get her shit together. Despite being a dating sim, there aren't actually that many romantic moments. It's mostly build up and wacky stuff. I did almost die when Miya tried to lick food from Ruka's lips mouth to mouth, but of course Yuina interrupted them (by asking whether they were going to kiss).For the life of me I don't know if there is a secret Ruka ending if you pick everything perfectly, because the only real endings you get are1. Failed to raise all stats (loop)2. Karen-chan kills you3. Riase all stats, meet Yuina and pick her (loop)4. True EndingFeels like Ruka should have her own weird ending, considering she is treated kinda like the main heroine? But she will always be busy with clubs no matter what.I don't know if I really like or understand the true ending that well. I guess Yukki did program all of Miya's feelings and most important memories into the game, so the fact that the true ending is Miya rejecting the dating sim and wanting to dream about Miyu, her sister, could be the point? I just don't like the stupid line "I want to be with the only person I have ever loved in my life" when refering to Miyu. Almost like the writers are rejecting the very idea that Miya has romantic feelings for Yuina or Ruka, which is stupid.

You have to get killed by Karen-chan on the very first playthrough, so Miya will then comment on how insane it is that a dating sim has a dead end!If you pick all the options where Miya eats way too much food in one day, she will nearly throw up when Kura serves her dinner.If you pick the hug Kura option two playthroughs in a row, Kura's reaction will be much softer than the first time.If you go to eat yakiniku with Karen-chan on the first day and then try to go home with her again on the second day, Karen-chan will have a unique pep talk for Miya, telling her not to try to go for all the routes and just aim at the true ending path (Miyu). She also will kill you again if you pick her again on the third day, because Miya will say that she really did want to go for Asakura-san though. If you pick Karen-chan only on the second and third day she will straight up tell you that you wasted a playthrough and go home alone.

I wouldn't say this has more content than most VNs, with the exception of those really short Game Jam ones that last like 20 minutes. Took me about an hour to get all the content (I assume it's all, but that elusive Ruka ending may still exist...).

Unison Ruka is decent, especially because of the integrated debuff, but Ichigo's multihit buff easily outdamages her. Also most fire teams prefer using Diva Ruka for buffs and damage. I just found her redundant, because Ichigo can multihit buff herself and Admiral Yuina is overall more useful. >>4547934The issue with Daphne is that they only work on singular styles unlike reversions. So you should pick styles you are certain to use for a long time. Also I only got so many from diligently doing all content in the game for years. This is not what a casual or new player would have.

There's a target of importance in Kozue's event and another in Miya's event. I more or less know where Miya's is but Kozue's event is bugged, it won't let me jump.
