The movie continues to air in more theaters every few weeks and has hit over 1 billion yen in revenue during its first 100+ cinemas opening weekend.

Several stores have announced they will release figures/figurines of the CPK cast in the near future.

Several dozen doujins have been released on melonbooks and similar sites already.

Half a dozen magazines have released new interviews with the cast and directors. There have also been new English translated interviews added to the official site.

The game app from the movie that drives Kaguya insane has relaunched on the official app store.

Maybe it's finally time to talk about the climax battle of the movie. It's been long enough for it to settle in I believe.

So something that might slip past a lot of people even on repeated viewings is this: The Lunarians are actually following the rules of KASSEN.

Yes, these super OP aliens are following the rules of the game in Tsukuyomi. Whether they do it out of some sense of politeness and reverence to Yachiyo or because the programming in that area just compels them to, there are several things indicating they do.

1. This screen with the three crescen moons. It mirrors the three peaches that symbolize a player's lives in KASSEN. The Lunarians each get three lives just like the human players.
2. The main Lunarian summons 6 special champions the same amount as on Iroha's side of the battlefield.
3. The leader also summons an army of the lantern warriors which are fodder in the same way as the KASSEN samurai are, who actually are shown drawing bows to fight for shot in the battle. So they basically provided their own fodder army.

The first round ends with 3 of the Lunarians being defeated and respawning. One Iroha's side only Mami and Roka got defeated.
In response to being on the losing side, the Lunarians power up their weird fishdog thing, which could be viewed as cheating, which kinda justifies the Black onyX trio activing their own cheats to even the playing field.

Notably, Rai gets defeated, which causes Noi to be distracted by his brother's loss and then getting sniped himself.
After this both Noi and Rai get defeated one more time and so do Roka and Mami, which makes the score heavily in favor of the Lunarians who don't seem to lose anyone.

Iroha who sees that they are losing is trying to get back to Kaguya on the castle to save her, which is specifically breaking the rules of the game as she is leaving the battlefield. Thus the Lunarians completely wall her off and basically take the game.

It was a hopeless battle for sure, but the fact that the Lunarians adhered to Yachiyo's rules actually gave an illusion of a victory path. If they had just been better they could have won the "match" and perhaps the Lunarians would have actually retreated. It's hard to say, considering they did power up their champions unfairly.

The Lunarians in general are displayed as two-faced, on one hand employing underhanded tactics like brainwashing and breaking the rules, while also politely announcing Kaguya's return date ahead of time and participating in the performance for the final goodbye concer, even allowing Kaguya to finish her song and letting her say goodbye properly.

For other analyses, let's look at the music videos posted before the movie's release one more time.
In the Dreaming Island MV the lyrics clearly point to this being by a Kaguya who transitions to Yachiyo, which this shot clearly shows off. It's Kaguya's spaceship being connected to all the wires and the MV shows her wrapped in a curtain that is connected to lots of energy lines.

The original Starry Seas MV entirely takes place in an aquarium, the same way Yachiyo's soul is trapped in the ship inside the aquarium.
The MV also shows a view of Earth similar to how Kaguya looked through the "window" to view humanity from the moon.
It also has fireworks at one point that represent her memory of the fireworks festival with Iroha.

Comic strip during the Mount Fuji climb in the Ray MV

----

Iroha: "I'm surprised you can climb this high." (I guess that's the body I created...)
Kaguya: "Hm?"

Kaguya: "Shall I carry you? Kaguya's still got a lot more left in her."

Iroha: "Nah. What if your body overheats? We can't be that careless."

Kaguya: "Hmph. I wanted to show off a little." (Iroha is such a worrywart...)

Kaguya: "But!"
>>
I wondered why either Kaguya or Yachiyo didn't order the Lunarians to stop, as she certainly had the authority to do so. I then realized doing so would have broken the cycle.

>on the KASSEN battle
I for one don't think the Lunarians cheated. Maybe they were simply better. They treated the first round as an eco round, probing the capabilities of the opponents, luring Black onyX and Iroha's trio into a false sense of security.
Then the Lunarians pulled all the stops, and they gained too much momentum too quickly for the humans to adapt, and kept it in the third round. Happens often in RL sports, e- and otherwise.

Also worth noting about the first round is that all of the Lunarians who get defeated are destroyed by Iroha and Mikado, which is why the Lunarians send their powered up dragon thing after those two specifically.

It's really neat how you can see Iroha and her brother doing a cross-slash combo if you watche their combination move frame by frame, with Iroha blast ahead, so her bro can throw her twin blade back to her, which pierces the second Lunarian.

Iroha and Mikado are also the only ones who never lose a life. I was kinda disappointed how little Iroha actually does on her own in the fight, with the back half just being her destroying the generic lanterns while advancing back to the castle. But if you just look at the score, she actually killed 2 out of 3 enemy warriors.

Honestly, these siblings are too high spec. Could have gone pro if she didn't need to revolutionize robotics for her wife. If she had gotten a cheat mode like the trio, she may even have been able to defeat the wall of enemies blocking kaguya.

I just don't see how basically switching out one of your players for a higher powered one mid game isn't cheating. If they had done it in response to Black onyX using cheats it would have made them look less frivolous imo.

Iroha: "Kaguya, don't you think it's too hard to play the game when you're this close?"

Kaguya: "Ehh? But I don't want to be separated from Iroha. Can't I stay?"

Iroha: (That's totally unfair...) "It's not that you can't, but-"

Kaguya: "There's an opening!"
Iroha: "It's totally unfair after aallll!!"
Kaguya: "Easyha~"
Iroha: "Shut up!"

The lunarian leader also reads the rules of this mode of KASSEN prior to this on their console and summons the 6 and including themselves as the king, equals 7, matching Kaguya + Iroha, Roka, Mami, Mikado, Noi, Rai.
>>
>>4541435
The way I see it, when Yachiyo first showed up and plinking away the lunarians during the concert, they probably realized that she was Kaguya's future self, hence the reverent apology and retreat, presumably to figure out the implication of this discovery and decide what to do.
I think they then realize that Kaguya was fated to return to the moon, and set out again into the past, so they just decide to give Kaguya a month's reprieve and let her enjoy her last moments on earth, this also humouring her by participating in the KASSEN match. Also I don't think they necessarily cheated by 'transforming' their champions - it could arguably be a second alternate form or something - we didn't see the same 'hacking' stuff like we did with black onyx when they cheated.

Regardless of whether they cheated before black onyx cheated, black onyx cheating also meant anything goes already by that time, so they decided to clone their champions by the end to win - probably didn't matter terribly much as long as Kaguya goes back with them as was fated.

>switching out one of your players for a higher powered one mid game
Was that what happened? It can be explained by the other player always having been present in the game stacking buffs on itself.

I'm always confused by the fact that so many artists give IroKagu a height gap. Why do they not understand that the first Kaguya body shown in the epilogue is clearly not the final one? The revival concert shows us directly that they are the same height, as does the Ray MV: Iroha gives her a body that is slightly more grown up.
>>
>>4541531
Oh, I never really realized that they basically mirrored even kaguya like that. I guess this KASSEN mode is kinda like capture the flag, excpet it's a leader figure.

>>4541537
>>4541541
>we didn't see them hacking
Well their hacks would be more sophisticated than some gamer guys on Earth. The way the fishdog transformed with those red and purple hues looked very unnatural to me.
But sure, technically we don't understand how they work. Maybe this thing always had the ability to to transform. Doesn't seem right to have a playing piece the size of a boss demon though.

The fact that they clearly know about the Bamboo Cutter tale, as they tried to brainwash Kaguya with it, also means they knew that they should "win" this fight by fate decreed, so that's probably why they weren't that worried about the methods.

I literally did. That's why I said I'm not doubting the real life fact. But the artist just draws futa.
Also fucking retard, if you are just gonna spam all of danbooru anyway, might as well just post a single link at the start of the thread to the site, because yolu contribute nothing.
>>
>>4541790
Why do you hate danbooru so much anonette? chill
>>
>>4541790
>the artist just draws futa.
He doesn't. Seems to me like you're obsessed with futa and see it everywhere.
>>
>>4541794
Anyone can go to danbooru or pixiv to see the art there. The reason posts from Xitter have more value is because you can genuinely miss art from there, because it doesn't all get catalogued on image aggregator sites.
Also this danbooru bot has no sense, so he just keeps reposting art, because he blindly reposts absolutely anything from danboour, with zero quality control. It's lazy. Other anons translate comic strips or comment on the art or try to start discussions, but this guy just spams art with zero purpose.
It's the same shit in every thread. If you see a wall of 50 pics spammed, it kills off discussion because nobody wants to scroll through that. It's not that bad in image dump threads, but this is clearly a discussion thread still.
>>
>>4541798
Tbh if this is the same one who posts danbooru art all over the board then i doubt he watched/read all the series in question. So yeah he probably cant discuss them. But its not like we got a limit to how many threads we can make so its not that bad.
>>
>>4541553
This is seriously so good. If all the doujins are gonna be this high quality we are eating good.
I think it's genuinely funny how Yachiyo's complex goes both ways. She thinks Iroha can only love Kaguya, so she felt unworthy when Iroha lost her kaguya and thought Iroha wouldn't want her anymore. But in this doujin she also feels like Iroha is not sexually attracted to Kaguya in the same way as she is to Yachiyo. And as Yachiyo she has an easier time seducing Iroha.
>>
>>4541774

You must be a newfag if you never saw the bot post futa art in other threads before. They got deleted many times for a reason.
>>
>>4541790
I think that anon linked the tweet wrong. https://x.com/amic_yu/status/2035612601644933160 You can see the artist posted it in response to the tweet that female-female humping occurs in rabbits. And that artist doesn't draw any futa.
>>
>>4541798
>Anyone can go to danbooru or pixiv to see the art there.
What do you think is the point of an imageboard like 4chan? It's way more convenient to get pics from here than from other sites.

>it kills off discussion because nobody wants to scroll through that
This just reads like you projecting.

>It's not that bad in image dump threads, but this is clearly a discussion thread still.
There is no such thing as "image dump" threads or "discussion" threads, that's an arbitrary distinction you made up. If you really hate seeing images so much, you can always turn on Worke Tyme, it's there for a reason.

Because anyone who posts images from the largest anime image site is the same person? Again, this just seems like a weird personal obsession of yours that you're projecting on everyone else.
If futa is really being posted, you should be able to point to a few examples, but your earlier showing makes it more likely that it's just delusions on your part.

Hope a spinoff has Iroha becoming an astronaut instead of going into robotics. She goes to the Moon and gets Kaguya out.
>>
>>4541870
Again, Kaguya clearly doesn't reside on the physical moon. Whatever that digital space is clearly exists in some kind of pocket dimension. So just flying to the moon won't actually do anything. She would also need to become a quantum physicist who can somehow turn data into matter.
