Isn't Elden Ring already kinda-sorta Dark Souls 4? It may not be the Souls game you wanted, but people said the same thing about Dark Souls II and Dark Souls III. The only reason the game is even open world seems to be the fact they ran out of things to do with the Souls framework. Sekiro is something else entirely.
