I never actually watch these but I only care about them for third party announcements, I don't care about Nintendo's 1st party stuff whatsoever. That being said, this is probably one of the worst ones they've had, absolutely no games that interest me in this one. Where's all the good niche Japanese stuff from the small/medium sized devs? DLC for games that came out 2 months ago(and now you don't own the whole thing on cart) and for a Pokemon game that isn't even out yet. Using the Pokemon IP for a farm sim when so many Switch games are already farm sims is retarded. It was a 1 hour Direct with 2 new game announcements. A new Yoshi game and Mario Tennis, neither are heavy hitters. tl;dr: It was a bad 40th Mario anniversary stream. People had higher expectations so it feels bad to have it be as bad as it was. $80 for Galaxy 1 and 2 is a joke release.

I liked Mario Galaxy 1&2 in a pack. I liked Metroid open world. I liked the new Mario Wonder since I passed getting it on Switch so now I just get to buy it once and have all the content. I also liked the Yoshi Storybook, looked reminiscent of Yoshi's Island.Would love to see something like Mischief Makers or EarthBound remakes.
Pacing was the same as any direct. It was basically 20 minutes of a Mario anniversary then 40 of a normal.
