You did NOT see any problems with Unreal Engine 5 because there ARE NONE.
It's just the developers who don't know how to use it properly.

>But the developers not understanding how the engine or GPU works reduces it
>We also have AI upscaling, which increases the fps
>But the diminishing returns on modern graphics techniques that don't even look noticably different reduces it
>This is usually mitigated by frame generation which brings the fps back up
>This is the delicate balance that allows most poorly optimized games to run at 60 fps in 2025
>While under normal operating conditions Nvidia releases more powerful graphics cards every 2 years, and developers become better at using their tools
>But in April of 2022, with the release of UE5 and the cementing of engines as a service and ever-changing tools that devs never get good at before having to learn a new one, coupled with the industry's hatred of building experts, this delicate balance was broken
>And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how a 3000 dollar graphics card can't run a borderlands release at 60fps

>While conventional AA smooths out the sharp lines by rendering parts of the frame at higher resolutions, or combining information from across multiple frames, on newer cards we use something called DLSS

I'm ESL so I can't get into the technical stuff but basically:
The goverment was pushing hard for more green energy
We reached 78% green energy, 60%of the total was solar. (The thing with solar is it's output isn't stable so it needs nuclear/hydraulic power plants to complement it to average it out)
Our goverment bragged about how we had the greenest energy in yurop
One or 2 weeks after that we had a full country blackout for 10 hours.

Experts at the time were saying we had way too much solar energy and very little nuclear in our mix so it wasn't enought to stabilize it
Now, months after the fact, the woman incharge of the whole thing is blamming a private power plant for bringing the whole thing down.

This is gonna label me schizo but I think mods deliberately target non-bot threads (Lobcorp, Elin, Deltarune, literally anything that makes ABIB seethe) because it makes bot/shill threads look bad in comparison
There's this viral marketer spamming VTMB2 threads and insisting at how HECKING COOL THIS GAME IS LOOKING BROOS!!!! while downplaying the original and its so fake.

PG&E and ERCOT are public utilities. If you want them to run perpetual deficits for the good of mankind, change the law. It's currently illegal for them to make a profit above a very low threshold. It's for this reason that public utilities are terrible investments for God-fearing capitalists - they don't make any money. If you think they're just being lazy, take it up with their unions.

I can't believe with AI now they don't have something to automatically prune all pepe/wojak posts from the site or prevent the image from being uploaded.

PG&E is not a public utility.

>You did NOT see any problems with Unreal Engine 5 because there ARE NONE
This, the faggots crying about "muh unreal engine" are just retards parroting shit they know nothing about and its popular to shit on this engine when they should be shitting on an actual shit engine, the RE Engine.

It is

It's a videogame running on a computer.
All the shadowmaps are virtual

Gotcha is that the ((shareholders)) want their profits now and don't care about shit like infrastructure and delivery of electricity to the commoners.

>gee, I wish I'd started building one 20 years ago, other people have them now and I don't and it will take another 20 years to build one.

IDK man, nanite geo looks pretty real to me

We fucked up by procrastinating and by the time they're ready we don't need them anymore.
>>
>>720624245
As opposed to not being ready 20 years later? I don't quite understand your argument. That it requires work and money to build?

We need the power right now, in 20 years time we'd already have a fix for renewable energy and it's challenges. So by the time it's ready, you don't need it anymore and it costs too much to just go, "well just build it anyways and then we'll see".

>>

PG&E is subject to PURPA. It's a public utility. It's cute that California wanted bend reality with their own state laws.

I don't think it's a coincidence that the golden age of gaming was written in assembly and custom engines.

in 2012 'lil bro' would have just done it, and released the mod on nexusmods for free and told everybody exactly how he did it. Not begged for a million dollars to "maybe do it , trust him bro"

The show only had six episodes.

>go all in on nuclear
>costs hundreds of billions and low ROI
>then turns out almost all Western European (and more countries, but the Mutts pretend theirs don't) have design flaws and have stress cracks in metal parts
>costs tens of billions more to fix the problem
>and thens of billions to buy more power elsewhere
Nuclear is a meme the way we're doing it.

I don't care if the game runs at 20 fps or 120 fps

What matters to me is that it doesn't visibly stutter

I'd rather have levels split into segments with loadscreens inbetween if that's what it takes to avoid stutters
>>
>>720611742
>worst case frame latency is 100ms. Not good not bad
>>
>>720625587
not the size of a nuclear park. You need as much engineers as you need janitors. The cities around nuclear parcs usually tend to be much more dense and richer
>>
>>720625192
The others were frame generated.
>>
>What does that number mean?
It means the game has nanite and lumen enabled. It means the game we're watching with our own eyes is dropping nearly twice the frames of an intel integrated graphics processor. And that's every single second.
Twenty hours since we started the game. Forty eight tomorrow. And it will not stop. Not in a week. Not in a month. It will drop frames and stutter until the entire game is dead.
