Most big name mech games are garage games, and garage games are only ever really fun once you know what you're doing. Until you know this class of gun sucks, these generators don't work, the main stat that actually matters is "effluence", and if you put jump jets onto your thighs instead of your back you go twice as fast, the games frequently just aren't that fun.Just give someone a big list of cool looking things and ask them to the one they like the most, and then slap their hand and tell them to pick something else, that one's SHIT. That's the garage game experience.
