I don't want to encounter any control/performance issues with PTDE that would force me to play the remaster instead, since I much prefer the visuals of the original game.

Claymore is a good weapon, Zweihander is too slow. I agree Grass Crest Shield is annoying because it looks silly to walk around with a shield on your back if you're using a greatsword or something and the extra stam regen really isn't that much to where it would swing the tide of battle in your favour.

For me, it’s Grant or the Black Knight Greataxe.For dexfag builds, parry dagger offhand, rapier main hand.I don’t play casters much because it’s kinda boring, with the exception of spellsword type builds. Miracles are also fun.
