Yea problem is getting something on the level of game logic out of an LLM or site hosted AI requires a lot of memory and a lot of contextualizing and constant reaffirming of what's happening. At least with a game you can retain number consistency. AI Dungeon was the closest to the sort of random adventure feeling, and in terms of being able to give it constant reminding and feedback it was the most seamless and seemingly had the most effective outcome for the tools provided. Everything else is just a chatbot that constantly devolves into complete shit if the chat goes on too long. Novel AI was the only other thing close but even to this day it still hasn't achieved a fraction of what peak AI Dungeon had. Writing wise, certain company LLMs blow those out of the water with the right jailbreak stuff, but none of them can capture that adventure feeling properly as they're less about writing a story, and again, the consistency isn't there since you practically have to bludgeon the AI over the head to keep it on track, or at least for it to recognize where you're going with shit. At least in AI Dungeon gens it had clever random inputs that made the story take a turn that still made some sense.
