We lost

No…
>>
Grammys aren't real awards they're just who can suck up harder to the HFP. Realistically no awards matter and this game already won.(5 million sold, more games in franchise coming)
>>
>AI-sounding shit rejected outright
FUCKING
GOOD
>>
No video game can ever compete againts a movie or show. The very nature of it being a video game with gameplay between its cinematkc cutscenes absolutely ruins the pacing and makes it a slop conpared to a movie.

The Grammy's have been considered an industry joke since the late 80s.
How new are you to this planet?
>>
They probably just didn’t pay the fee to be nominated.
>>
>>725756279
There's a video game soundtrack category.
>>
>>725755759
>obsessing over literally any awards
need any further proof that gaming is just another normie thing now?
I hate this shit. normies (consisting of moviefags, immersionfags, and grafixfags), casuals (who get all their opinions from heckin tubers because buying their own games and forming their own opinions is to cumbersome), and social media (mostly twitter) have killed gaming
>>
>>725755759
>before: OMG SHIT OBSCURE 33 WILL SWEEP ALL THE AWARDS
>now: b-b-but awards don't really matter, w-w-we already won
lel pathetic
>>
>>725755759
I don't think I've heard someone mention being interested in the Grammys in my life.
>>
>>725757110
Then its insane to me that it didnt even get nominated. Probably due to the lack of black characters

The actual listed nominations are so fucking SHIT that whoever put together the list is clearly some fucking out of touch faggot.
>>
>>725755759
Nobody cares about Granny awards
>>
>>725756090
What makes you think it sounds like AI? The game was developed during a period before massive amounts of ai content were widespread
>>
>>725759753
So they've essential blacklisted this game, because those soundtracks are objectively not as good as exp33
>>
>one of the nominated said e33 should be on the list and he'd give his spot to e33 if he could

Way to say its a fraud without saying its a fraud.
>>
>>725760203
>before massive amounts of ai content were widespread
Before widespread =/= before available.
We already know a large chunk of E33 was made with stock UE5 assets bought from its store by the nepobaby with industry connections. If anyone had access to early AI music models, it would be the CEO. I remember like 5-6 years ago they were using AI to make “original” Christmas songs by throwing all the classics into the learning model. It’s not like the tech only just came into existence.
>>
>>725755759
Guess they couldn't afford that one kwab
>>
quality of art assets/ music everything is AI asset store flip slop tier
this game doesnt even deserve nomination for goty , sadly it will win, and our industry will elevate how low effort trash gets rated
>>
>>725762871
>AI slop is better than every other videogame
Oof
>>
>>725756090
>>725761347
>>725762871
why do you think blatantly lying will change anyones opinion of the game?
>>
>>725761347
Which assets were bought from the unreal store?
Im confused as to why this matters anyway. What's the difference between a trash can from the unreal store vs outsourced to a khajeet vs using one from a previous title vs taking an hour to build an identical trash can?
Ive never understood that hate for this, for a character yes, but random background props, who gives a shit?
But my main question is what things are from the asset store?

Ok so your ai music thing is based on a Christmas song and a hunch?
>>
>>725755759
Nom nom nom
>>
>>725762871
Which assets? Why is thay a bad thing ? Whay is the difference between buying from the store vs using a model you made three years ago vs outsourcing the model?
Whay difference in quality does it matter to the overall game if background props are pre-made and purchased?
>>
>>725755759
>grammys
people still care about that shit?
>>
>>725761347
>>725762871
>being a lying contrarian is my entire personality
>>
>>725763569
No, you don't understand, unless the developers spend 10 years developing every single asset like Rockstar does, they're lazy and the game is shit
Also, you can't reuse any of your previous work in the next game
>>
>>725762871
>flip slop
But arent you just repeating someone else's opinion while using someone else's coined term? Slop is a lazy term used to describe a lazy practice, AI generated content. You are doing exactly the same thing, except with words rather "asset store." Using terms like "slop" is the colloquial equivalent of ai slop, just with your words. Its brain dead, and you stole it from another person

Which even then on the asset store, you are paying a guy for making a prop. How is that any different than paying the guy down the hall to make the same fucking prop?
>>
>>725764024
See, why not? Im an engineer, we reuse assets all the time. Traffic sign? Tim built that in 2012, just import it. As a matter of fact im doing that now in-between shit posts.

I think a lot of people dont understand how stupid it would be to not reuse things/buy it from the store. Honestly, its fucking retarded and when someone complains that a trash can is from the asset store, they arent insulting the game, they are flagging themselves as a moron who cant think beyond a single issue
>>
>>725761347
This is just hearsay and you are talking out of your ass. E33's success is deserved and it mogs your favourite game. You may now seethe.
>>
>>725761347
>>725762871
>the OST everyone is praising is actually AI
That would mean AI won already lol
>>
>>725755759
nice sideboob
>>
do the Grammys cover video games?
>>
Im so tired of the "muh asset flip" bullshit. I noticed those other two retards didnt bother replying after leaving their weak bait.

Ok, so instead let's find out how much it cost to make a trash can.
We open up 4chan gayme studios and we hire Timmy. Well there are 2080 work hours in a year and we pay him 50k a year, or abojt $26 an hour (before bennies)
Well let's get tim to build us a trashcan, its going to take him about 3 hours to do this on auto desk Maya, which is a $5k license per year, or $2 an hour. So before we factor in his health insurance and retirement, thay trash can costed us about $81 to make.

Now scale this up to every asset you see in a game. Or, we pay $3 for an identical trash can and use that $78 for something else.

Everyone bitches when game prices goes up, or alt methods of monetization are used, but then they bitch when jeets are hired to make background objects, and then they bitch if AI is used to generate a newspaper texture.
>>
>>725756421
True, like how Jethro Tull won a Grammy in the heavy metal category despite not even being metal.

>>

Those are some abhorrent nominations.
>>
>>725771836
you're a fucking retard

It's called an insider club retard
>>
>the music is the most well documented part of the game when it comes to its development
>the composer, opera singer, and the orchestra that recorded it are extremely talkative about it
>saar it's AI saar
?????????
>>
>>725755759
Everyone except western slop DLC was left out of the grammys
>>
>>725771384
Exactly. The panic isn’t about the music itself, it’s about the fact that some indie-seeming game (even if secretly funded by silicon valley silver spoon) outclassed industry sausage-factory output. Grammys giving it attention makes them look bad, so now it’s cope and damage control from every direction. They can’t say it sounds bad, so they pivot to “AI did it” schizo rambling.
>>
>>725759753
jesus christ lmao
>>
>>725772437
same retard schizo spams the same dumb shit in every E33 thread so I just ignore him

Get the fuck out. I hate the French, but they cooked with this stuff.
>>
>>725759753
This list seriously is just movie-adjacent games and Sword of the sea as the obligatory 'games are for intellectual adults too!' pick

The consolation will be that e33 sweeps the entire game awards so its okay.
>>
>>725755759
i really don't enjoy being a hater but the e33 soundtrack is aggressively pedestrian and fools people with middling taste in music into thinking it's good through high-brow, neoclassical arrangements but lacks substance imo. seems to appeal to people who probably think jazz is "good music to relax to" while lacking any true ear for the musical composition at play, or who listen to the LOTR or whatever soundtrack thinking it's good by default because it has orchestral arrangements.
fuck the grammy's and e33 has many good aspects. but this OST should rightfully be forgotten
>>
>somehow this supposedly not-AAA game made by a small studio has more hours of music for its soundtrack than something like a Final Fantasy game
>nothing weird here

>>
>>725774663
Really the only problem with E33’s soundtrack is that 90% of the songs are just remixes/renditions of the same 3 songs (Lumiere, Une Vie a t’aimer, and Alicia), but those 3 songs are such home-runs that it hardly matters.

It’s not like the Soulsborne games where every song is generic choirs over a garbled orchestra. The E33 songs have actual melodies to them, which is essential for making a memorable song.
