Is gunfire reborn actually bloated? I haven't played the last 2 DLCs but last time I played, the core gameplay felt the same. It just seems like a lot of menu/gameplay bloat, but I was still able to play the game the same way I was playing before.

You have to wait for the cool down and use the skill again before touching the ground. Operator will leap forward and if you touch a drone you'll latch on and reactivate the skill.
The drones make no attempt to get in your path to line up a jump, so it kinda sucks unless you're strafing a boss or something.

The base game is good on it's own, Survivors of the Void adds more versatile items and stages that you can come across along with an extra Final Boss, Seekers of the Storm has an alternate path that you have to go out of your way to do and it's items are more niche, I've yet to play the new DLC so idk how it is, and no you don't need DLC to play with others who do own it, thoughever...
