We also noticed this when doing the event where you fight a horde of yoshis, we couldn't complete it on his Wii anymore because it would take so long for the new yoshis to load in that the timer ran out, and we had to pauze inbetween killing waves of yoshis for it to load and spawn the new ones.He probably never experienced how hard the hardest difficulty of SSE was legitimately, but it wasn't really his fault.

With the yoshi horde, you will kill a wave of yoshis, and then you're just sitting there waiting for the next wave and it takes like 5-10 seconds i think? unless you pauze right after killing the yoshis, wait for 5 seconds, and then unpauze, and the new wave spawns immediately. Again, there's no way for me to prove this to you without having a shitty wii myself or using my friend's wii.iirc brawl is one of those dual layer dvd games, which might make loading issues worse with shitty disc drives.
