Galaxy has enough of a plot that it could've just focused on adapting it. The first Mario movie being a mishmash of different game references makes sense, since SMB1 has next to no plot otherwise. I think mishmashing World, Sunshine and Odyssey would have given them enough material for a round the world type adventure, adding Galaxy (and Mario 2 apparently) to the mix seems unnecessary. Space could have been saved for the 3rd movie.This trailer and the first one almost feel like they're for different movies. It looks messy, like they're introducing Yoshi and Rosalina and BJ which makes sense for a Galaxy movie but there's also Tostarena, a casino with Birdo and Mouser and Clawgrip, Fossil Falls is there with the realistic T-Rex and Baby Mario and Luigi... it reminds me of the first movie which also had a somewhat messy plot but now cranked up to eleven.
