That game was supposed to be the new and improved version to the first gacha that was 9 years old at that point. The first game ends service and then a week later the second game releases and offers no real improvement over the first on top of resetting everybody's progress. It's pretty clear to anyone who played it that Miracle Live was handed to a new set of devs who rushed it out as quick as possible so it could release on the anniversary of the first game. They also shut down the other Love Live gacha (All Stars) in an attempt to funnel players into the new one even though the gameplay was different so the only real overlap was the fact players liked the same series/characters.
Fast forward around 9 months and the new gacha announces end of service before the English version has launched, leading to that joke of a tweet where they announce the English version is still releasing but is going to shut down after a few months because they clearly had some contractual obligations to release something.

Even without the concord comparisons flying around this game would have gotten ridiculed.
