It is kinda sad to see support for AI to be mass adopted. The whole idea is for corpos to save money and fire people and make even more people unemployed.
Which would normally make people call out that shit, but the good ol' culturewar shit handles that. Just call all artists leftists and everyone who uses AI right-wing.

Mass-adoption of cars have caused massive amounts of pollution, destroyed historical buildings, caused fuckton of deaths, caused lobbying of ridiculous levels, and destroyed majority of public transit.
Now cars are so normalized that anything that goes against car and oil corpo lobbying is considered some kind of culturewar agenda.

Also not as many people owned horses, and not many wanted them in cities because they polluted. People were againdt mass adoption of cars but car and oil corpos lobbied schools and introduced terms like "jaywalking".
Cars are useful, but they shouldn't be a requirement to participate in society. If you live in middle of nowhere, fine, but majority of people don't.
>>
>>733075726
So then it's not mocap, retard. The moves he does are completely different from two handing. For example he's protecting his head with his elbow while swinging. This is completely incompatible with two handing. At that point you could just ai generate anything without the need of any actor since it's just "imagining" all the moves and handling from information in the model anyways.

this sort of thing is cool and neat for grade schoolers/high schoolers and for making really dumb low effort meme shit. It has zero place in any "professional" industry.
vidgen is just absolutely trash and has no actual tenable future outside of composite SFX(which only gets seen for 1-3 seconds at a time) and the most absolute basic bitch Rx commercial grade "person sitting in a room talking" 10-15 second adverts.

>>
>>733077329
Yes, you do. You can't really just edit some random bit of it, that creates what is known as a HARD CUT.
Hard cuts are BAD because they are EXTREMELY EASY TO NOTICE. The amount of actual hard editing that will need to take place in post even with "nearly perfect" output is going to take so much time and effort that you'd be better off just hiring people to animate it properly in the first place.
When this tech completely ignores vidgen and instead focuses on outputting rigged 3d models is when it'll actually get professional use.
>>

I'm not crazy about AI being used in existing studios, because at the end of the day these studios suck ass and will just pocket the difference. But how about your own animation projects that are now possible? can any of you faggots create anything at all?

fine detail stuff like clothing, eye color, etc. is going to end up completely broken from one scene to another. You need staff to correct all of that.
also you really overestimate the cost of outsourcing animation to SEA.
>b-b-but that looks like shit anyway
No one who actually cares about what the end product looks like is going to use AI.
>t-then just outsource the corrections to SEA!
Doesn't work that way. You actually need to know exactly what you're looking for and know how to fix it or else you may as well just skip that, push the AI output raw and tank any prospects for the product from the getgo.

Actually accurately capturing the motions of the actor and not randomly deviating from it by the whims of a machine?

It's not supposed to be a suggestion for what the actor wants, it's supposed to be exactly what the actor does.

If an animator wants to then do something with the data to change the animation later that's fine - but the computer shouldn't be imagining shit.
