Why can't they make a perfect screen?

They already have.
>>
Isn't mini-led supposed to have the same advantages as oled without the burn-in and with more brightness?
>>
>OLED burn-in
not an issue anymore with pixel cleaning
>>
>>733202581
yeah but they cost more expensive than OLED which already cost an arm and a leg
>>
>>733201189
doesn't g-sync pulsar fixes this?
>>
>>733202946
>pulsar flickers
Now we've got five horseman.
>>
>>733201269
first monitor is completely fucking fine if you don't have it set up right next to the fucking other one retard
>>
>>733202703
no? I own a q90b and it was much cheaper than the usual OLED TV
>>
>>733202630
yeah, the real OLED horseman is VRR flicker
>>
it could be microLED but they're still far too expensive for consumers you purchase
>>
>>733201269
I like how my IPS doesn't have this problem
>>
>>733202581
Here are your perfect blacks bro

SED was supposed to save us from the sample and hold menace...

>First monitor is fine if you close your eyes and dont point out how its not fine!!!
Holy cope
>>
>>733201269
Weird, im viewing the OLED through my IPS monitor
>>
oled is literally perfect. burn in doesnt exist
>>
>>733207219
>just turn off your screen every 5 minutes and don't play games with on screen ui, e-easy
>>
>>733207327
or do none of that and dont experience burn in either.
about once every couple months my monitor says its time to do a big panel refresh. that takes about an hour. that's the most annoying thing and it's not annoying at all. can just do it when you go to bed or not at your desk
>>
>>733207378
That's not preventing damage, it's hiding it. Your screen is getting worse by the month and you don't notice because it's gradual.
>>
>>733202581
Micro-LED is essentially OLED without the flaws. Mini-LED has its own issues.
>>
>>733202581
Miniled is literally just IPS and VA but with 1000 small backlights instead of a single big one
It's not a display technology
>>
>>733201269
Lower gamma and brightness, increase contrast, on any screen and those two look the same.
>>
>>733207429
newsflash: everything in your life is degrading.
in the meantime however I get to have the best screen in the world for 3-5 years, for like 20% more price than a high end ips monitor anyway. and if the you dont personally notice the changes then who cares? I haven't noticed after 5 years, it also seems to vary from panel to panel

>>733209351
no they dont
>>
>>733201189
LCD glow is a bogeyman and nothing more. Our eyes have a narrow sliding window of brightness they can perceive, think when you come inside from the bright outdoors and everything seems dim at first, or when you go outside from the dark inside and it's blinding. If the room is a little brighter you can't tell the LCD blacks aren't "true black". Saying this as a guy with a 42" LG C3 as my main display and a 27" Dell IPS secondary monitor. I fell for the OLED meme and it was a huge waste of money.
>>
>>733210032
You dont have an oled
>>
>>733201189
Because screens aren't magic. They're just different display technologies that work in different ways and thus naturally have different strengths and weaknesses.
>>
>>733210032
IPS glow is immediately obvious if you've ever used another panel type but it's not enough to prevent IPS from being the best LCD technology.
>>
>>733204046
so thats why 4chan tomorrow mode flickers...
>>
>>733209351
megacope
>>
>>733201269
>burn-in after 6 months
>>
>>733204046
just turn it off, if the monitor is good enough you won't notice a difference
>>
>>733202630
>burn-in is not an issue anymore
The biggest lie OLED-fags tell
>>
>>733209715
Yes they do.
Things get better. But not because of you.
Others. But not you.
>>
>>733207219
Everyone that says this is fucking blind. I go over to their house and see burn in all over. It's like how when you visit a persons house who has an edge lit TV and they pretend to not see giant vertical streams of light from where the backlight is broken.
>>
>>733201269
Idk about you but the games I play only tend to be primarily black on loading screens so whatever
>>
>>733204449
Outside of some horror content and a stary sky, this amount of contrast will never happen in normal content.

Blacks and highlights= oled(rare content)
Fullscreen brightness with depth in colorfull content= miniled(99% of content)

You never see somebody show off their oled screen showing anything but highlights on black because it isnt that great in other content.

T.av fag with 3 oled tvs
>>
I'm sizing up budget 1440p's at the moment, curved sounds cool and apparently they are practically synonymous with VA panels while flat and IPS is normally the opposite pair

Been told how bad the ghost effect is varies by monitor and now I'm figuring how to tell from these in-depth test reviews if it's acceptably minor or not for the model(s) I'm looking at
>>
>>733213746
there's just no good mini leds ever since nvidia removed hardware gsync module
>>
>>733201269
>le max brightness in a dark room comparison
Always so fucking disingenuous
>>
>>733213746
that contrast is rare BECAUSE of screen limitations
and it always will be because oled will never catch on because burn in is very real
>>
>>733214072
Aren't all TVs oled nowadays?
>>
>>733201269
>why yes i like not seeing shit in the dark, alone.
>>
>>733201269
i paid for all of the 8.3 million pixels on my screen so i am going to see them at all times, OLED is jewing you out of it, migth as well pay a monthly sub at this point for your screen
>>
>>733206971
Too bad you cant do 4k on these
>>
What's better?

>1440p 180hz Mini LED IPS 1ms
>1440p 240hz Fast IPS 0.5ms
