I'd say only the Nier games escaped this fate and even the first Nier game (Gestalt/Replicant) had middling combat. They're definitely games you get into for the story and/or the experience first and foremost, though I will say all the games post Automata are a lot better in terms of actual mechanical and technical design.

The tumor is on my left hemisphere so it affect mobility on my right side, mostly my leg. I'd say my right arm is at 80% so I can still play vidya.
