It's fine if you still like it. I just think the quality has fallen off considerably over time and I wish Gamefreak were held to a higher standard. The only thing they make is games for one of the biggest IPs in the world and they look and play like low budget indie games.

Genuinely, yes. Don't get me wrong. Game Freak deserves the criticism and the pokemon fanbase deserves the ridicule that Sonic autists get. At the same time, the "modern" Pokemon games are just mid, not bad. And, Pokemon was never really that amazing of a series anyway. There are worse games out there.
