I played half life 2 and barely used the gravity gun unless required. Early on I picked up an explosive barrel and it exploded in my face when I tried to throw it, and I thought the force from the gravity gun caused the explosion because I didnt see any enemies near me. So I just avoided using it.

I just played almost all of Zelda Echoes of Wisdom without realizing you could Z-target enemies and switches. Since it's a top down "2D" Zelda I didn't even think to try it and I must have missed whatever tutorial dialogue explained it. It makes monsters you summon focus on whatever you're targeting, the entire time I was just summoning things and letting them do whatever they wanted. There were so many switches I could've activated a lot more easily too but honestly I like the retarded way I brute forced a lot of them.Off topic but I'm really mad I didn't give this game a chance earlier, I'm thoroughly enjoying it and think its the 3rd best 2D Zelda game. It looked extremely unappealing to me because they advertised it like its more BotW open ended slop with how you just stack a bunch of shit and break the game but it's surprisingly not that at all it's very tightly designed, has proper structure and a lot of pretty clever puzzles. Would recommend it if you passed it up like I did.
