Finished the game five minutes ago.Ultimately I just feel whelmed, the game feels like it's been frankensteined together from a mix of failed projects. Grace stuff was fine at first, but I think I'm pretty much fatigued from stalker enemies needing to be in almost every RE Engine RE game now. I also can't help but feel like Leon was slapped in it and wound up completely shadowing Grace in what is supposedly her own story because they weren't confident the game would sell without someone like Leon in it. Coming to the Spencer retcon/main plot, I honestly feel like it's just a story beat that feels like it was meant to be in a Revelations title, that wound up in this because they wanted some big twist for the 30th anniversary game.Game arguably peaks within the upper floors of the hospital and goes downhill further and further when you get into the basement.Zeno feels like he exists purely so you remember Wesker for when they release RE5Make. Not going to lie, i went into this expecting to hate it and while it isn't perfect, it's a lot better than 7 and 8, at least once you get out of the intro and have a long section with Grace in the care facility. It'll be a nightmare to replay because of all the lame scripted shit and it feels too guided with too many scenarios where you have one obvious path but at least, finally, there is some sort of survival horror design going into this with genuine resource management and dangerous enemies. It feels like what RE7 could have been if it wasn't made by complete retards. Still probably a 7/10 at best though so far
