Someone give me a qrd on everything leading up to this game. I've played through all of the mainline games except 6 and 8 but I honestly could not tell you a thing about the story besides saving the president's daughter and mold men.

Just finished it and got the good ending. What’s the deal with Wesker? He looks like a Metal Gear Solid character complete with a codename and the game never 100% confirms that it’s him, then he just dies in a cutscene. Seems underwhelming and confusing. I feel like if they were going to bring him back then Chris and/or Jill should have been involved in defeating him. Is he going to come back again?

Why do the 7 and Village devs insist on putting the boring tedious walking sim stuff into their RE games? RE2/RE4 Remake devs do it as well but to a much lesser degree with the orphanage in re2 remake and the bit where you carry ashley in re4 remake. But 7, Village and Requiem is much worse in this regard.
