Even in non movie games, you press the buttons to do cool things and win without much challenge but those games are competing against TV, Movies, and most importantly social media for effortless consumption products and social media's dopamine cycles are unbeatable when you're scrolling your timeline seeing new videos every 5 seconds. So not only are corporations are ruining what made games unique in the first place, but they're unable to compete against social media. Which is why we're seeing game sales continue to tank and gachas that everyone autoplays while they browse social media become popular.
