THE CLERIC CONFIRMED TO HAVEMONSTERDONG
>>734455474Buy an advertisement and begone, shill.
>>734455629I wish. I just want to push all the gachafaggotry off this board with a fun game
>>734455629at least it's something other than the usual dogshit on this board.
>>734455474>youngish hagI have discovered a new fetish.
LOVEMEEEEEEEEEEE
S L U T
>>734455474What is the most single dmagae you received in a single instance? For me , it was 18 HP.Once in the final Assassin fight and once when Ettir flirted back
How quirk chungus critical role well THAT just happened he's standing right behind me isn't he is the writing?
>>734459748...What?
>>734455474Is this less or more cringe than disco elysium?
>>734459929The game I mean, not that specific screenshot (in case that was not clear)
>>734455474BUY AN AD STUPID FAGGOT NIGGER THIS PSEUDOGAME IS DOGSHIT AND NOT EVEN WORTH PIRATING KYS ASAP TY
>>734459748It's a little, you will have some goofy shit happen. But there's also a lot of good writing in the midst. I'd say it's a 6 or 7/10 on the fag-scale. You're gonna see some ghey feminist bullshit but in the same vein there's characters that are very blatantly nationalists and not in a negative light at all. It's breddy even handed.>>734459929About the same if not a little more bringe because DE is slav-depression central. Esoteric is a bit more hopeful in some of it's writing. You can even get three dates lined up for the MC.
Some things I wish I knew about the game's structure before I started playing as someone 3/4 in, I've tried to avoid explicit spoilers.>The game's quest chains are loosely organized in 4 different routes based on your political alignment/stat choices>The routes are subcategorized into 2 groups that overlap in terms of locations visited and quest objectives.>For a "story focused" serious playthrough it seems like the developer intended you build STR/WIS for the political route or AGI/INT if you want to explore the game's mysteries/lore.>AGI and CON are the core combat stats. STR is not good in combat although it is good overall.>CHA is surprisingly useless in an extremely dialogue centric game. With your other stats feeding you info and your own critical thinking on how to approach situations and dialogue you don't need it.Why you died isn't as central to the game as it is in planescape
>>734459748Yes.
Things I did not do in this playthrough that I have to do in the a future run, maybe.>gather the rats>see what happens with the nationalist and azlant kids after the first afternoon, never spoke to them after that except once in the press>Try to talk down encounters lke trollPerhaps I could try going full retard and never enter teh teashop or try to sequence break into the dungeon too early
>>734460020>About the sameI guess I'll pirate it then. Too much of a gamble to buy. If I enjoy it, I'll get it later.
>>73445962517 from the troll I think. I can't remember. The group of skellies also almost fucked me up. Bless Urth for Cure Wounds.>>734460043>Why you died isn't as central to the game as it is in planescapeIt's actually kinda funny that it's just linked to GOO shenanigans. I actually used STR plenty of times in combat and it worked out well. Wisdom seemed to be the least useful and combat spells like Necrotic Touch don't seem to do that much as opposed to just punching shit. And yeah CHA with apolitical seems to be like the 'evil' route like going Swarm in WotR or full baalmode in BG3.
>>734460301Sure, I also pirated it.I found it a decent use of time
>>734460345YESSSSI THOUGHT I LOST OUT ON ANGEL WOMANWHEATFIELDS INCOMING
>>734461254Is it really that simple /v/ros?
>>734461290>She's stutteringEttir is CUTEC U T EUTE
>>734461336>Dexjew coming around FINALLYActually kinda sweet
Everyone postponing after the election. Come on
>>734461336It seems no matter the stats and roleplaying cred, everyone tried to know the celestial cutie
>>734455474So is this game seriously just cringe dialogue and quirky chungus references to 90s media?
>>734455474RPG Codex seems to like it. Take that however you will.
>>734463990Can't you people rely on something that is not buzzwords to get your point across?
NAZGAL NIGGAS WW@>>734463990It's fun nigger. Go pirate it.
>>734464908Just like Urth intended
>>734465805He still wants you to vote Nationalists first
Where the hell do I find the document those damn kids want to steal? Are they in that safe I can't access because Agent Tusk over there can't seem to ever get the fuck out of the office?
>>734464097Really? I don't think I believe you.
It's not full of R*ddit humor, is it?
>>734466238it is, now go away
What the hell is this ending song lmaoI had fun. 8/10. Very few bugs, nothing game breaking, animations were stiff at times during any type of 'action' scenes just like BG3. Story was really good. Characters were funny and believeable, bantz was on point. Lots of neat correlations if you wanna think about them. The game really doesn't try hard to pretend it's not a reflection of IRL but it does it in a way that isn't shitty.Music was actually phenomenal. I was actually mad the song didn't continue after you save the Mushroom guy in the Undercoast Path and close the dialogue window.
>>734466282I'm unironically asking.I'm not one of the "iS it WoKE?"-tards.
>>734466073Nigga come back at night, maybe even past midnight.Just make sure to get on the Mephite's good side before you do it. and even better yet, help her with the ambassadorjew to get the key to the place.
>>734466350It's entirely dependent on your willingness to see feminists and shit in the game. You can very easily sidestep every ghey interaction you don't want and be an incredibly racist wizard king nationalist. I picked the middle road and ended up promoting National Socialism amongst the youth.I've also got 3 dates lined up with some big strong ladies.
>>734466325Cant hate a nigga who thanks the pirates for playing his game, I should buy this.
>>734466350Well then, depending on what you define as r*ddit humor, it might be like... a quarter of that? It's mostly the sort of humor you'd expect from a half-serious D&D game with the boys, if the GM was also on a political theory kick but didn't get past politics 101. You have a goofy reference here and there, and a really stupid joke once in a while, and the tone can veer into decidedly unserious out of nowhere, though most of the instances of that would be spoilers.
>>734466485And yes when she said 'copulation' I took 3d6 damage IN THE EPILOGUE.>>734466510I've since given up on pirating vidya after rarbbg died. All I torrent now is animu and the occasional movie I can't find on some shitty stream site.
>>734458271fat
>>734466485I don't care about any of that, I just hate shity forced humor that tries to hard.Like in Larian games or like some IRONIC indie devs do it.>>734466536Okay thanks, it might be up my alley then.
>>734455474I seriously think the art style of this game looks like shit. No other real opinions on it though.
>>734464908aznat on the hombre
>Sageleaf is a BRAPQUEENPoor Snell....>>734466556I lol'd when one anon said she's the only wife-shaped girl in the game.It sucks cause it's true. ART MOD WHEN>>734466605If you played Hi-Fi Rush it's more like that. The comedy doesn't act ironic, it plays itself straight.
I'm kind of amused by the fact Strength rapidly alternates between mega-fascism and just being reasonable when other stats start going wild.As well as between "lol lmao strong women literally can't exist get real Snell" and "I love a woman that will actually just kill me, awooga"
>>734466690The niggas definitely got a type.>Never ask The Cleric the race and size of his gf's thighs.
>>734459929The demo is free and consists of one fifth of the game. You could just try it.What's the worse case scenario? You don't like the game, meaning you've wasted 20 minutes that you were going to spend on 4chan?
>>734466690>As well as between "lol lmao strong women literally can't exist get real Snell" and "I love a woman that will actually just kill me, awooga"He's literally me.
>>734455474Considering buying this game. What is a recommended build and how does gameplay work?
Does it do the whole "thought cabinet" thing from Disco Elysium? And if yes, is it done better?
>>734455474>protagonist has a big dickI can no longer self insert. De-wishlisted.
>>734466238I don't know, never been to reddit except for information on games. What is reddit humor?
>>734466932Sort of, yeah, it just ties it to the actual quests directly so when you complete a major one you get a thought equivalent from that, you have up to four active at once, and they have major effects (for instance doubling the effects of an equip type, or roll-twice on specific checks) rather than "+2 to who gives a shit, sometimes"
>>734463990Normally I'd just ignore this caliber of bait, but this is getting embarrassing. So please listen to me when I say this. P l e a s e.Get some better material.
>>734466932Gameplay is disco elysium, plus combat scenarios(which is still same format as dialogue, but you know they actively try to hurt you) and spells you can use as active abilities in free roam and during dialogue events. It's specifically tied to finishing quests, each quest gives a feat variant (so you cannot have everything in a run) an you get a max of 4 that you cage only after a rest. So it adds up to the 'build' experience
Is high con good? It wasn’t that good in DE compared to the other stats
>>734467104It's this game's Shivers. So yes.
You know I started calling myself a Wizard as a joke but now I'm actually obsessing over whether I missed a spell scroll somewhere
>>734466823STR/DEX/INT to start with for both gameplay and literary purposes. >Wisdom is your general pinkocommie>Strength is Nationalism with a touch of racism>Intelligence is full on chudmode quoting stats left and right>Dexterity is your innerjew/hustler>Constitution is your gut feeling but also something something revolution and farming>Charisma is becoming a legit sociopath and is NOT needed for nearly all dialogue choices, it's actually REALLY only used if you are actively trying to convince someone of something or lie. The other stats are explained in the beginning. You'll get plenty of items to round out your other stats. Focus levelups on STR or INT as (I think) those might give you more equip slots at certain breakpoints. Max level is 6 (I got halfway to 7 by the epilogue).Gameplay is like Disco Elysium but with a bit more agency besides just point and click and stat rolls in dialogue windows. You have a backstory as a rough commie youth that got straightened out into becoming a cleric specialized against spellcasters due to your magical affinities. This leads to you having as a cleric with a shit ton of magic spells available to use from mage hand to aura of vitality, all ranging in different degrees of usefulness. You use these spells mostly in the overworld but also in dialogue windows (speak with animals/dead/plants) and in combat (cure wounds, necrotic touch, bless, etc). Combat can get pretty dangerous if you don't prepare/get shitty rolls and there's lots of different ways to just fucking die.
>>734467219There's a surprising amount thought I don't think Crusader's Mantle actually works. The combat can get a little wonky with spells.I'd actually love a sequel. Shit make it a low level actual legit DnD game. No higher than 8 or so. The games setting as a post-magical realm where you still got some mythical shit hidden deep and giant no-go zones but at the same time the general populace are riding on bikes and the highest level spell they'll see is fuckin Enhance Ability.
>>734466823> Recommended build[Strength].[Constitution].[Wisdom].Mechanically speaking this is the most powerful build, but it is marred by the Wisdom chime being a huge faggot at times.Strength lets you brute force things, but more importantly it gives you the ability to equip extra items.Constitution makes you more durable and harder to kill.Wisdom increases the power of your spells and also serves as your perception, revealing secrets and perils in the environment.
>>734458271Can I romance this thing? I will buy it if so. This is very important.
>>734467663The Cleric refuses to consider any woman with below 14 Strength a viable mateSo no, I'm really sorry to say
>>734467663No.Your flirt options are a jew orc, barbarian bugbear, ancient sphinx and Jean D'arc angel with Eldritch eyes
>>734467693>>734467717Welp. My wallet remains closed. Shame. Real gay.
How do you get Ettir to tag along in the first place?
>>734466746what the FUCK is this place? How much stuff did i miss?
>>734468358She auto-suggested so in day 3 for me.Not sure if there are triggers beyond that (aka, entering teashop, searching for the witness, actually talking to her and/or the coinlord once etc)
>>734468414It's on the maze tunnels.
>>734468415>Not sure if there are triggers beyond that (aka, entering teashopWell i can guarantee tris one isn't a trigger
Do you ever actually meet/talk to the coinlord's daughter?Beyond unmasking her as the warlock or the ending
>>734468581I know of one time, but it doesn't do much in the long term unless I missed something later.Day One, she's the standoffish girl in Pillar Crossing, but to identify her you need to hit the DC20 Behold. She gets spooked when you call her out and fucks off, you can mention it to Darrow later.
hell yeah, gotta go fastshame about Dex talking more as a side effect lmao
>>734466690Makes perfect sense honestly. STR thinks women are shit because they don't they meet his belief of what positive qualities for a person are. Thats why he goes bananas for strong women, because STR likes strong qualities in people.
>>734468835Not sure if they just typoed the Finnish or intentional. This shit made by Finns? I would've expected scandinavians with those names.
>>734469047It's made by a Swede, far as I know.He used real-life languages to sub in for the fantasy ones because... I dunno, I guess he didn't want to make shit up or thought it'd be funny? So Elvish (at least one type of it) is just Finnish, Draconic is Latin, the... ancient cat race is just Spanish or Portugese, I don't fucking know lol and Celestial is Polish. Probably some others I haven't seen yet.
>>734469047The dev is a swedeThere are a lot of broken real-life languages in the game, the extinct race of sapient lions spoke spanish, the frogs speak french and the celestial tongue is polish
>>734469198>>734469206Ah, that explains. That's like doing a very lazy Tolkien, but ok. Thanks.
>>734466605If Larian humor is like a 7/10 this game is like a 12/10
Cleric, please. Not the time.
>>734460345Why is is that apolitical is always treated as the greatest evil possible in these games?Meanwhile when I removed all politics in my life I became instantly happier and less paranoid, and more humble too.But ig I might see where it’s coming from since from what I’ve seen Charisma is a stat about deceiving people.
>>734469660CHA isn't apolitical because politics annoyed it, but because it refuses to not be liked
>>734469198Considering the whole game is presented as an tabletop game it makes sense that GM would just use irl language to depict languages of different racesIt also could be considered another hint to the player that Jor picked up humans from Earth when making this world, so all those languages are litteraly the same thing as their real counterparts
>>734469660I mean, apolitical can mean a lot of things (just like basically every ideology in practice). In DE, it was 'bad' because the writer used the interpretation of "I'm lying to myself and I'm actually something else", and here it's 'bad' because it goes with the take of "I'm lying to others because I want to be liked by everyone or because I'm inherently superior and above it all".The "I genuinely don't give a fuck/am exhausted by politics" is actually Constitution's gimmick (when it's not supporting the Agrarians, which are a joke party with like 2% in the polls)
>>734469854>spoilerTo be fair one of the internal discussions you have with yourself, the one for Norvikian Resistance, literally mentions the fucking Japanese, so it's not THAT much of a reveal
>>734469886Yeah. Charisma is apolitical so it does not oppose anyone and presenting itself above it all. While Int is literally pushing you to be above everyone else and be the fucking god emperor
>>734469926Also Urth and the cleric descend literally from the Vikings
Man I feel like a few of the Feats are really designed with way harsher resource scarcity in mind.
>>734469926Personally what tipped me off about this was inclusion of Bible among the rarest books in the library
>>734470186Healing HP when asking what they vote is kinda useless.
>>734470238That's probably the biggest one, yeah, but even some of the later ones. One lets you use HP in place of spell slots when you run out, but... you'll never run out. Even if you spam spells for no reason, it showers you with consumables to refresh the slots.
