Not all mutations are created equal, keep an eye out for a really good one, and realize if you keep mutating a cat eventually the mutations will just be overriding other mutations on your cancerous puddle of mutagenic cat cruor. You only have so many runs before it breaks though, and you want to hyper mutate good breeding stock. If you lose the run though, you lose your cancer and your mutated cats, so it's a balancing act. You might only be able to properly 'ascend' one or two cats per run safely, then they'll be your prime breeders. But let Samuel here be a cautionary tale. If your cat has 1 Charisma nobody will want to fuck them, Samuel hasn't had one kitten in his long life. He attempted to mate with at least two straight female cats and was rejected.

Haha so turns out when your Hunter that got hit with the Blood Frenzy event on the first event space of the run wipes your entire party on the last combat encounter before the final boss on the Nuke run because you literally couldn't win without his DPS, you lose the Nuke and have to redo all the quests to get it again.
