The hell is wrong with these people nowadays? I have seen many friends who prefer to doom scroll than play any game. They own more than 300 games on Steam, yet they spend only 5 minutes in total. It’s not even due to the refund policy; they simply feel that all games are boring and uninteresting compared to short clips. what the fuck is wrong with people these days?

Doom scrolling is more addictive
The people who designed these algorithms and platforms are not retarded and understand human psychology very well
>>
Also most people buy new games so they don't feel left out and be a part of some discussion/community

Less effort for the same effect
>>
do you spend more time on 4channel than you play video games?
>>

To be fair, watching gazans and iraners get blown up is way more fun than any modern video game.
Crazy idea, we need more middle eastern military shooters.

If your only exposure to vidya is latest AAA slop I honestly don't even blame them.
>>
>>736501230
yes but being in 4chan is more productive than doom scrolling.
>>
>>736500610
Because it's designed to be addictive. That's why games that are designed to be addictive are not fun, they simulate fun.

Don't change the subject. Are you having more fun scrolling the catalog, replying to bait threads, posting baits on your own and waiting for the (you)'s to come, or playing a videogame? What do you spend more of your time doing on any given day?

I know I'm a shitposter more than a gamer. And I am trying to change that.

>Fried dopamine receptors
>Can't enjoy video games as an adult in 2026 because you're too busy worrying about not starving to death or dying due to the jews
>Most modern vidya is soulless commiefornian dogass bullshit and the rest is indietripe that doesn't aim high on purpose
I am going to shoot a rothschild somewhere inbetween the next five years, cap this.

Dr*ft yourself, that way you'll be able to see as much as you'd like, and hopefully get a bullet to the head too
>>

I just get on here when I have downtime at work or when I'm taking a shit (and forgot to bring my switch to the bathroom with me)
>>
>>736500610
every time i try to play any game on pc that isnt osrs they will remotely shut it down until i go on social media
fuck america so much lol
law enforcement are all corrupt as fuck
>>
>>736500610
thats me, unless a game hits the autism just right id rather just refresh 4chan all day
>>
>>736500610
How is any of this your problem?
Why do you care?
Mind your own business.
>>
>>736503660
what
>>
>>736500610
Because they can turn off their brains while doomscrolling, if they just spent 8 hours working they no longer want to use their brains, it's the same reason why people usually play the same genre of games
>>736501230
No
>>
this is a good sign. it means socializing is more important to people than killing each other in online battles.
>>
>>736500610
Because doing things is hard. I don't want to do things. I don't want to think.
I get the same amount of dopamine doing literally nothing just starting at a screen than I would have gotten having to "think" and "move my fingers" playing a game.

>can lay in bed
>zero mental effort
>constant novel experience
vs
>sit up
>hold controller in hand
>figure out which buttons to press
>constant puzzle
>scary difficult challenges
>>

Videogames have always been a vapid fad; it was only natural that another vapid fad would delete them.
