Other websites and Internet schizos try to make this place worse too out of old grudges, blaming 4chan for somehow ruining their political movement or scam to get rich. Others use 4chan because they think it's easier to ban evade while being a schizo, or because most other forums are gone or with too little activity now. Companies and governments try to shill on and ruin the place as well, and the mods don't do enough against that.
The board sucks because its userbase genuinely loathes videogames. That's why hobbies that are mutually exclusive with videogames like tabletop games or comic books get 500+ replies of pure discussion.

The new captcha is a bad idea in general. It killed the traffic by like 30%. They should rethink this. Enforcing account registration would not be the worst idea.
When i took a break from 4chan between 11-14 i just played more vidya. I participated in many meta threads in 2025 and it's clear that no higher ups cares about 4chan. Mods only care about their pathetic discord channel and Hiro only cares about ad revenu. Sell the site to someone competent and re-educate the mods on how to be better forum moderarators. I don't know why but ever since the new captcha was implemented it seems to restrict my posting frequency. Like I can make one post but if I try to make another several minutes later it will say I failed captcha even though I clearly did it.
