This is a solved problem but cheaters buying new accounts and paid skins are a steady stream of income for AAA studios so they do nothing about it. Most devs cut corners and don't take extra time to add checks to the server code to kick players for the most blatant cheats. For example if a client tells the server they're going 10x faster than normal or have more health than is possible that should be an instakick. Also stuff like enemy positions behind walls should never be sent to the player. They don't need to see them the server can verify the kill after the fact.

One of the few good uses for AI is to identify cheaters fairly easily by just having it identify multiple impossible movements like the mouse cursor instantly move crossing the screen with 100% precision, examining latency and reaction time delays, inputs not coming directly from mouse/keyboard, etc. Problem is would be expensive developing a new anti cheat like that as well as some games, like Tarkov making most of their money from the cheaters/hackers. Even in other AAA games its cheaper to say there is no cheater problem and just ban a few batches every month, especially free to play since its easy to avoid IP/hardware bans.

The CT is either out of cover or in front of a tiny portion that's penetrable. He would have taken damage. He aims around where the guy should be and literally misses, dude. I even looked up a random D2 match, found CT getting smoked while a player is nearby, and look where the CT is playing. The same spot. Like, where else is his crosshair supposed to go so that it doesn't look 'suspicious'?
