What is going on with Brazil? Are their laws more strict than the rest of the world?
>>
And all of this trouble is happening just because some weirdo faggot youtuber got caught watching CP.
>>

I want you to image for a moment being born in place where every single motherfucker growing up was a monkey or acted like one, now I want you to imagine that not only are you forced to constantly listen to the bickering and the parties of these people, but be made fun of for preferring to use your limited time on this Earth to read and learn new things.
Now I want you to imagine, that in this same place, the government has an outreach so obscene that they can just cut off your access to anything if you're not obedient enough to their bidding, or if you just plainly voice your opposition to them.

But enough about Chicago!

>it gets passed in record time
>now a slowly increasing amount of sites require ID-based age verification, and some who don't want to deal with that just block Brazil
>said e-celeb won a series in the most popular TV channel where he talks about mental issues
And the funniest part is that elections will happen in October, and the only opposition who could do something about this slobbers over USA's dick and would annex all of Brazil to USA if orange man asks.
>>
>>737024279
Brazil needs companies doing business in Brazil to verify the age and identity of people using online services.

It's more of a loss to perform that verification than you'd get from those users subscriptions, so it's less unprofitable to just not do business in Brazil
>>
>>737024163
>Are their laws more strict than the rest of the world?
Not really any more strict than the UK or many US states.

Schizos say this is a form of government ID to control the Internet. They are retarded. The government already knows what websites you browse, and besides, ID verification is done by third parties through a secure anonymous process where your credentials are not stored. Again, schizos will think this is all a conspiracy, but at this point if you've got a normal brain you should be able to confirm this information and go on with your daily life.

Or alternatively you can just use a random credit card to verify yourself like any normal adult would.

FIRST OF ALL:
>Brazil is the biggest consumer of CP on the world
>labor party is the country that have a lot of people arrested for being a PDF
>a lot of big artists (jewish mostly) have connections with Diddy, Ashton Kutcher (Diddy friend) and Epstein
>we have a island focused on child prostitution that every single jewish artist protects with their teeth in the name of "tourism market" (search for pedophilia in Isle of Marajós)
>biggest lawyer on this country is involved with a famous case in the 70s of a missing kid that was used for sacrifices by Jews

Then this guys Felca comes to light:
>youtuber gets caught liking videos of underages girls that sells nudes
>stays quiet
>1 year later he creates a video reporting those type of videos and contents
>plus says that everyone accusing of him being a pedo will be sued
>video blows up
>work labor party is trying to pass censorship for like 6 years and see the perfect opportunity to use as a excuse to "do it for the kids"
>stupid censorship law passes
>makes every single company in the world that sell anything to brazilians to have a branch on Brazil to answer to lawsuits

This is the exception that proves the rule. The millions of users that verified their age with IDs were not exposed at all. Everyone learned from this experience and now this vulnerability does not exist anymore.

And once they saw a bunch of weaponized autists could bully Google’s algorithm with “fried chicken gyms comic book stores,” that was the moment the suits went “oh, this place needs adult supervision.”

Early internet was niche, techy, and semi-anon by default. Then smartphones happened. Then social media tied everything to your real-life friends. Then influencers monetized their entire existence. Suddenly being anonymous wasn’t normal, it was “suspicious.” Normies rewrote the culture just by sheer numbers.

Add governments realizing they could regulate platforms instead of chasing individuals, corporations realizing real IDs = better ad profiles, and boom. Anonymity didn’t die in one blow - it got slowly priced out and legislated out.

We didn’t lose nicknames and avatars because they stopped working.
We lost them because they stopped being profitable.

How the hell is this world ruled by these evil people and no one does anything to fix it?
>>
>>737035019
1) The people who could fix it (which is realistically a huge amount of people; just don't be a greedy, power tripping cunt) aren't in positions of power that would let them do so
2) Anyone who tried wouldn't get very far before their career advancements got blocked (or their life was taken) by greedy, power tripping cunts who desire the status quo
3) A lot of people realize points 1 and 2, decide it's not worth caring about and just decide to live their lives
Point 3 is where everyone who doesn't let this crap take over their lives ends up. Sucks that life is this way, and it's worth recognizing that it sucks, but there ain't much to be done outside of hoping the few people with influence who aren't total monsters can do something once in a while.

Yeah, thought so, it's always the same with your types.
The problem isn't that the government *can* get it, it's that your computer shouldn't be giving this information out to every website you visit. You shouldn't even give this information out to third parties for ID verification. You shouldn't even give this information, willingly, to the government. You value your anonymity because you won't give me your CC info, name, address, facescan even though I promise not to do anything with it.

All he did was to add the gibs, which were not considered as income, to the income of families, magically pushing many of those out of poverty despite still earning exactly as much to the penny as they did when they were considered poor. The inflation is rising again (back to 3%/month yay) and I can't wait to see the mental acrobatics he has to pull to justify blaming it on the war when he explicitly said to the previous goverment (which was a complete piece of shit, I hate both sides) that the lockdown was no excuse for the state of the economy.
Meanwhile he is already undergoing serious lawsuits both here and in the US and a key person in the government is in hot water because of frivolously using the presidential plane after signing himself a regulation that said that you cannot frivolously use the presidential plane, which started a massive investigations on his assets that rose fastest than imprisioned ex-president christy "stole 1 whole gdp I swear" penguin.
Being slighty better than the other side doesn't mean shit.

Our government is scared shitless of the internet due to the previous president being a populist infamous for "fake news"

The die-hard supporters of the current government will support whatever they do out of spite

Brazilian internet people like the retard youtuber whose name was given to the law are terminally online and sheltered people who have first world problems in their mind due to watching too many gringos

The average Brazilian is a hylic cruising through life on autopilot and doesn't give a fuck
>>
>>737041590
Oh right, I almost forgot how he also had a new inflation formula tailor made to make his government look better and when he tried to use it it gave much higher values than the old one and suspended its implementation indefinitely.
>>
>>737042878
Oh and also, much like everywhere else in the world where laws like these are being passed, no politician, neither right wing nor left wing, opposes them, since they're all gullible tech illiterate boomers who don't know how these things work, genuinely think they're doing good, or just don't wanna risk becoming known as the guy who opposed the thing that will totally protect the kids

PSO2 had brazil players?
>>
>>737024163
nothing really, they're just making vidya better by removing minors from online/gacha games.
>>
>>737043548
Yes anon, online services do try to get into the 200M+ market of brazil even if it's a shithole.
>>

>Not really any more strict than the UK or many US states.
There is not a single US state with laws this strict, not even the biggest shabbos goy, Jew-loving Republicuck states require you to show ID to play a T-rated game online.

And how are they doing that, pray tell

Yeah I've heard that one before

Not just /v/, probably the most spic board is /co/, spics these days are super gay and love their gay cartoons, I'm kinda glad they're all going to get fucked by age verification laws since it means I won't have to see their retarded, gay posts nearly as much soon.
>>
it's funny because 14-17 year old brazilians are legally allowed to have sex with anyone they want but can't play online vidya games

>>
>>737024237
the youtuber was just the emotional justification they used to pass the law without suspicion from the population and unanimously. There probably would have been way more push-back against it under normal circumstances and they knew it, so when the big youtube video was uploaded they immediately pounced on the opportunity with everything they had.

it was a pretty fucking ridiculous time btw. The largest brazilian TV channel was unironically hailing some incel-looking long-haired greasy motherfucker as some sort of national hero.
>>
>>737044682
AKSHUALLY x2 that's a folk myth, as long as the 14 yo consents it is fully legal under brapzillian law, the parent permission thing doesn't actually exist legally at all

When you see
>your information is not stored
Remember, they may actually be telling the truth, technically.
The discord leak for example was a leak of discord users' information, not a leak of discord itself.
Discord offshores ID verification to Persona, which is what actually leaked. What is Persona's privacy policy? Given the fact they haven't been sued, probably that they store your data.

It's a scummy little trick to stop themselves from getting sued or waste any more resources than they have to.

I am pretty sure there is more than enough precedent that companies cannot hide behind a subcontractor like that when they fuck up.
It's propping up a lot lately with AI "replacing" customer support, and when it fucks up some companies were fucked by the law telling them how for the customer it's the same and so it's still their fault.
>>
>>737046118
>I am pretty sure there is more than enough precedent that companies cannot hide behind a subcontractor like that when they fuck up.
It's funny you think the law actually applies to corporations.

Is there any way to get the “banning kids from the internet” part without the insane censorship and ID laws? I gotta tell you, hearing people constantly bitch about how bad social media is for kids mental health is more annoying than the kids themselves. Could we just ban anyone under 18 carte blanche?
>>
>>737024462
Why do companies have to go to the effort of blocking countries from their sites? Why can't the countries restrict access to the sites from their ISPs? Brazil passes a law so tumblr has to spend money cutting the hues off? It makes no sense to me.
>>
>>737046452
It's the countries being retarded really. Brazil has stated it will fine anyone not complying with its legislation, so it must be some way to earn money for them. The UK keeps fining 4chan hundreds of thousands rather than just... blocking the site, even though they said that's a thing they'll do if the site does not comply
>>
I think of suicide sometimes because I live in a shitty hopeless place that is named Brazil. Turbo nigger culture unironically.
>>
>>737046404
How are you going to verify someone is a child without also adding massive surveillance, dummy?

Oh, I know...it's PARENTS. It's called PARENTING. The PARENTS are supposed to do that.
>>
>>737046404
No because 'banning kids from the internet' is not, will not, and will never be the goal of these types of measures. The ONLY purpose of these globally coordinated moves is to de-anonymize the internet and tie everything you do, say, read, consume or look at online to your real identity, for the express purpose of punishment for any of the above that (((certain interests))) do not agree with. Especially if it involves not liking (((THEM))).
>>
>>737046452
The brapzilian government (in theory at least) places exorbitant fines on all sites that don't comply, before finally blocking them on the ISP level after an unspecified amount of time. The fines are bad, especially if you're honest (and stupid) or if anyone in charge of the website plans on going on vacation to Brazil
>>
>>737046452
>Why can't the countries restrict access to the sites from their ISPs?
Because that's just overt censorship? The only reason these laws pass with minimal resistence is because the govt can shift the blame to the sites for not adapting to the new law. Noone wants to be labeled an outright censor.
The law gives a time window to adapt and those who don't get blocked, that's how it should work, in theory at least.

-5 years actually, he did the video as a cover-up for his own actions

>Why do companies have to go to the effort of blocking countries from their sites?
I think it's to avoid legal troubles if they ever want to regularize their situation with said country.
>Why can't the countries restrict access to the sites from their ISPs?
Every country can (Brazil regularly blocks thousands of ips, Spain blocks Cloudflare during soccerball matches, Russia is working on whitelisting the internet), but it's simpler to just threathen companies to do your job for you.
>The UK keeps fining 4chan hundreds of thousands rather than just... blocking the site, even though they said that's a thing they'll do if the site does not comply
I think they want to use 4chan as an example for why they need the law, block those evil sites that shouldn't exist in the polite internet. Totally not establishing a totalitarian state over communications, no no..
>>
>>737046404
>If a kid is found to be on the internet then the parents get fined 99 gorillion dollars
There, I fixed the problem. No need for ID laws or censorship. Keep the little checkbox that asks you if you're over 18, and if you lie your parents lose the house.

You do know that every single poverty rate in the last... well, forever years in this country has been blantantly doctored by the state right?

And our current idiot can't even manage that basic skill.
>>
>>737046452
Because it's cheaper than being extorted by a "Democracy" that demands you censor their opposition or else face massive fines used to fuel further corruption.
