What games have the best audio design?

That's only for unprompted sounds that aren't your tinnitus or some bug eating your ear from the inside. Still being a 1 isn't very good as true human beings can will sounds into existence just like they can project apples in front of them (but always out of reach, such is God's punishment).

does anyone else feel like idiots discovering certain iq and intellect and cognitive abilities related studies have absolutely fixated on them thinking they're some end-all proof of their high intelligence and using them to perform unwilling "tests" on everyone they ever get into an argument with, usually ironically proving that they don't truly understand what the research or proposition seeks to prove but just thinking there's some magical sign that they're superior to others? like every time retards learn about a new 'smart' thing they absolutely attach to it and you don't stop hearing about it
like when they learned about the breakfast question and started giving every person unprompted tests, but not actually getting that the purpose of the example is to show a theoretical scenario that suggests those with low iq struggle with theoretical scenarios, and instead treating it as something usable, and also not getting that the whole difficulty is precisely in comprehending that it IS a theoretical scenario, and not some riddle where you need to guess the "correct" answer

The irony of it is that the breakfast question scenario is, in and of itself, a theoretical scenario
It doesn't need to be a question about breakfast
The anon in that post that was going around was just saying how less intelligent people can't comprehend that a scenario is theoretical and not literally happening, and gave the breakfast question as a theoretical question that they might theoretically struggle to understand it theoretical, and what idiots took from it is "oh I gotta start asking people if they had breakfast, is that what you're saying? Ok gonna start doing it" it's like fucking pottery or whatever

Faggot, sampling rate doesn't matter if the sound is muddy as fug.
Games often use stock sound assets making them forgeable, this is why so many old games are remembered by the UI sounds alone.

They're all extremely vivid and if I get them, that's how I know I'm about to fall asleep. I realized that listening to certain types of music can trigger this and make me fall asleep easier.
Also, I sometimes wake up "wrong" and start the day with a really weird, delusional belief that goes away after like 5 minutes. That fucks me up really bad.

>>737139051
How would you feel if you hadn't had breakfast this morning.
>>
>>737139051
Someone in an old 4chan thread said he worked on intellect and IQ studies (might be a lie) and offered examples of ways in which people with diagnosed lower IQ struggle with certain thought expiriments
One of them being the topic of hypotheticals- he proposed a scenario wherein if you were to ask a person with an intellectual disability how they would feel IF they can't had breakfast, they may have trouble understanding that you're asking them about a theoretical situation that didn't actually occur, and not that you're saying they actually didn't have breakfast when they did

Stupid people didn't understand this theoretical example and began treating it like a test for people they dislike, asking them if they had breakfast and how would they feel if they hadn't, but not fully grasping what the example is meant to convey and that it's simply a thought expiriment and not supposed to be used as a concrete test, nor that there even IS a singular "correct" answer

>>
>>737139861
Anon, it's not a concrete test, it's not a test at all, it was proposed as a theoretical scenario and the proposition suggests that if someone answers in such a way it may suggest that they have trouble with understanding that the question proposes a hypothetical, making it a test implies there's a correct answer whereas this is more of an expiriment, ever answer is "correct" they just indicate possible issues

But I am. People like me do exist, and for us it's just a matter-of-fact and our normal daily existence to be able to do it. That's why we find it so shocking to see the intense defiance people like you so confidently proclaim.
We're not looking to put you down, we just enjoy what we have and we hope you enjoy what you have too.
But I can actually hear any sounds in my mind, including generating new ones, and I can transcribe them to piano or singing, or into a DAW. I can do the same for images.
I wish you had this capability too, I want to share it, not hold it over your head.
As for the OP, I'd say games like...
>Subnautica, STALKER SoC, Team Fortress 2
are great examples of top tier sound design. I would've added Terraria to that list, but though its SFX & music are great, the overall audio fidelity doesn't fully mesh against the enemy attack sounds and the "I've been hit" sounds so I'm withholding judgement.

People can take it too far and consider it undeniable proof of superior or inferior intelligence, which is missing the point. It's usually done in bad faith too.
But I can understand why people focus on them. When you read about this kind of thing and see how your experience differs from others in ways you didn't consider, it puts a lot of things into a new perspective. It's like finding the answer to questions that always bugged you but you didn't know the right way to ask.

Similar can be observed with the "inner monologue" idea, forgetting that having "a little man in your head that talks to you" type of inner monologue is actually a sign of maybe 90 IQ sort of range, while also ignoring the fact that people lower than 80ish IQ might genuinely not have the mental capacity to "converse" in their own head, people on the higher end of the IQ spectrum aren't necessarily likely to even think in "words"
