oh no you can't buy years old handheld pc. maybe should've boughtered it when it still could run games.

Windows users trying out GNU/Linux based systems often confuse the directions shared among experienced UNIX Gurus to most efficiently use their systems, as the only way you can do things. You can still do many things the inefficient GUI way if you want, but nobody is going to hold your hand to walk you through that for free.

Anyone who has had to experience the hell that is trying to provide technical support to Windows users understands why.
It is the same reason Microsoft has had to add a Linux subsystem that provides a real command line interface. Supporting Windows users problems in the GUI was too expensive.

Pathological lying, also known as pseudologia fantastica (Latin for "fantastic pseudology"), is a chronic behavior characterized by the habitual or compulsive tendency to lie. It involves a pervasive pattern of intentionally making false statements with the aim to deceive others, sometimes for no clear or apparent reason, and even if the truth would be beneficial to the liar. People who engage in pathological lying often report being unaware of the motivations for their lies.[1][2][3][4][5]

Z2E
Misleading. Z2E is 50% stronger at 21W and above. Only at low wattages do they perform similarly, but you can also just grab a cheap chinkheld if you exclusively play low wattage games (usually indies and emulation).
>>
>>737494082
A shit ton of the early competitors had horrendous flaws, too.
The MSI claw was a complete fuckup using an intel chipset that just did not work in a small formfactor, riddled with FPS issues and overheats. The lenovo go had extreme battery issues with those fuckhuge joycon things, bringing a 20wh larger battery more in line with the deck.
And the ally was overheating so severely that you couldn't actually put it to full wattage or you'd get perf 10w below it. Crazy shit. Also it was devouring microSD cards. nom nom nom. Took a good 3 years for them to get the design kinks worked out, the recent launch of the new xbox ally and the new lenovo device are the only decent ones.
Chinkhelds like the GPD line are cool but they have severe support problems, GPD will put out 1 or 2 devices every year, and when the new one comes out they typically stop supporting the old, usually not an issue (I have a winmax4 and it works JUST fine to this day) but can quickly become one if big updates happen.
>>737494207
sure and the only device to let it go above 21w was the ally which fried itself and it's hardware due to heat choking it out, forcing it to throttle. Technicalities don't matter if there's no real world use case.

The gpdwin5 isnt a z2e chip
>>
>>737494696
Win5 is strix halo, which is more powerful than the Z2E by about 75% and the Deck by 300%. It is essentially a laptop crammed into a PSP shell.

I knew you were memeing. Firefox dev edition has an official zip file for Linux and there's an unofficial Appimage of it.

Nobody said that 10 years ago except delusional morons. I started using Linux back then and I can confirm it wasn't a seamless experience. But as of 2-3 years ago I'd consider Linux a much more intuitive and easier OS to use than Windows. And yes, I'm using both on a daily basis.
It's entirely distro dependent, but Bazzite > Windows if you're a casual user, and CachyOS > Windows if you're a tinkerer.

ANOTHER VALVE FLOP

THANKS FOR PLAYING FOLKS BUT IT WON'T BE BACK IN PRODUCTION

It literally doesn't matter what handheld PC you get, just use what works for you. Most of them are good, the only objectively bad purchase is the MSI claw

Nooo, I need to justify my purchase to strangers online.

They said this too, back then. When will the cycle end?

I wish the Switch 2 had more games already, it would give tendies something to do other than shitting up the board and defending their gorillion dollar company all day

It’s only usefulness is Windows applications, when people stop using Windows and moved on into Linux or Mac then you people see how useless it becomes.

could be worse they could be selling them for 1200 dollars like lenovo
if i were valve id see who in the industry doesnt want a ai hellworld takeover and get them to supply ram
steam deck 2 with steam machine specs for like 500 dollars in 2028/2029 would sell alot of units
same with steam machine for 750$
if i were any corporation that isnt entirely evil or controlled by the new world order
i would do everything within my power to defy the new world order
like do you all think theyll keep you around lol ?
theyll sacrifice you like they did with xbox sega
etc
the second youre no longer useful
theyll eat you like everyone else
if i were sony id make a ai free or less ai ps6
that plays ps1 to ps6 physical discs
then rip off nintendos virtual console
and make the ui as simple as possible without constant shovelware and ads
they would genuinely make alot of money and reduce alot of suffering world wide
and not do a pro console cuz nobody buys that shit anyways

handheld pc options in 2026 to avoid giving money to kikes
used rog ally with steam os
under $300 dollars with Z1 extreme.
used steam deck for under 400 dollars + 1tb sd card

also can "build" a mini pc or laptop
by grabbing a used pc off ebay under 200 dollars
4 6 or 8 core cpu and then popping in
rx 580
1070/1080/1080 ti etc
new pcs are a fucking scam if they are not handheld or like
some shit like a r7600 rx 7600 pc for like 850
>>
>>737487519
