Is Wolfenstein actually good?
No.
Only played both 1 and 2 of nu-wolfenstein. The world and set pieces of the games are great. Gameplay is fantastic with being able to stealth a lot of the game or run and gun duel wield shotguns. The nazi designs and building are fucking kino especially in 2. I still think 2's graphics look really great even by today's standards. Story and game themes are pretty straight forward but I think narratively you can see the cracks begin to form in 2's story. While I think 2's gameplay is the best, you can see the kinda wokeism take hold in the story in particular with Grace's character, but it doesn't take away from the rest of the game. One part that was cathartic was when Grace gets choked out by the big German girl she kept bulling. So, the game does have some balls to put Grace in her place too. All and all the first two games are pretty good. Old blood is like a sequel I think to new order and I hear that people say that is the best.Don't play 3/young blood

I had a great time doing the permadeath runs for New Order and Old Blood. 2009 isn't bad it just has most of the flaws of that late 00s era of FPS games, worst part is how slow you run. 3D and SoD are fun too, but if you aren't already into Doom then you probably won't like it. Return to Castle Wolfenstein is definitely the best entry in the series though, and not just because of picrel. Very fun 3D boomer shooter similar to Quake or Turok.I am personally a libtard but you'll definitely still like all the games I listed if you're a neo-nazi, the aesthetics are just too cool.

They should've turned the dial up and had you fight AT-ATs with Hitler's face and that kinda shit instead of just having all these 'hey look this Nazi is super evil' scenes.
