I started experimenting with the modifiers and I find that the "plasma heals you" modifier is genuinely a lot of fun. Unfortunately it makes the game way too easy, since it was absolutely not balanced around it, but it makes the game a lot more aggressive and if they had built it around that more reckless playstyle with a lifesteal mechanic I think it genuinely would have been a better game.

Why is all the footage I'm seeing have nobody running shield/coffin as if it isn't the most fun and powerful weapon in the game? Even when you're not getting parries and shredding everything you can repeatedly bunt safely up against anything with good dps and without getting pushed back and likely get a parry anyway. I also hear people slander the upgrade that lets you boomerang it, which is only detrimental if you didn't figure out you can repeatedly push forward to attack while keeping the shield out which is the proper way to use it up close anyway instead of mashing the button and leaving yourself open.Also if you need anymore convincing while the shield is thrown you can cappy jump/bounce off it, and act out of the jump into other actions. About done with the first dungeon at this point and I was wondering, does this game start to do more interesting things with the burrowing mechanic later on or is this it? I ask because the game seems to have a very detailed world with a lot of shit to find but the actual process of finding them has been, for the most part, very bland. You burrow under some things, do a few momentum jumps with it (sometimes somewhat clunky, I have to add) and you find breakable walls. I'm yet to find anything particularly unique, well thought-out or even reach a sort of flow-state which convinces me that this game is better designed than the other hundreds like it out there.
