Starting with Nexus you can use both sticks and the controls are still pretty customizable. Same with weapon feedback, 6 has overall much better weapon "feel" in general, though we are missing proper sniper builds.Gen 5 I gave up on too quickly to really tell you why, I kind of just went "NO 4 MOVEMENT GAME BAD" and put it down.I'm definitely happy to get more in this generation of AC, they don't need to refine things too much, aside from maybe tweaking stagger and ideal range.
