gamedev monday
Don't forget Cris! >>740008614
Major stalling on sourcing, editing and mixing sfx. god damn I don't enjoy this. downloaded reaper because the audacity effects workflow clicking through menus is fucking annoying.
About to finally release a demo for my game. Very excited, hope to get some people to play it.
Supposed to be an "archdruid". In order to evoke the whole tree-wizard aesthetic for an experimental-model-prototype robot, he's got "roots" made of pipes and tubes and "branches" made of antennas and receiver dishes. I'm not entirely sure the branch-antler-antennas is working, it feels sort of busy and part of me feels like I'm just redesigning Siren Head. After it's textured/painted I may tone that down or cut it back to just the antlers. I feel like aesthetically the antlers are cooler on their own but it just doesn't make any sense functionally.Mechanically, this is a boss encounter that does phase 1 rooted to the ground spamming projectiles, then phase 2 it breaks off of its "roots" and can fly around.
Working on cave gen. Still not 100% sure how I want resource gathering to work
>>740010642Whatever you say fagoon
>>740010642Great news ;)You should have a place to follow you when you announce the demo, best is a steam page, then twitter/youtube. I don't think itch alone is great.
the hardest part of being a dev is youre not allowed to call your userbase fucking retarded or they throw a fit
>>740010853I think the antlertennas are a bit too much. Love the bottom part tho, all those tubes almost look like tentacles which gives it an eldritch vibe.>>740012539Looks neato. How are you generating that level layout?>>740013831Thanks anon. And yeah so far getting a following on itch has been really hard, I think people just don't use it a lot. I have an X account (https://x.com/tinto_gamedev) and I plan to create a Steam page if the demo feedback is good and promising enough.
>>740014118It worked for the Mouthwashing guy.
>>740010642nice, congrats anon. are you doing itch + steam for the demo/eventual full release?>>740012539thats a big mapim not doing game stuff right now. im making a fake lighting thing. pic rel is fake lighting without any other context :)
>>740015354ty!>are you doing itch + steam for the demo/eventual full release?yes! for now it's just itch, but later on I might open a Steam page if there's enough interest in the game>fake lightinghow does that work? just vertex painting and then slapping a texture on top of it?
I've finally picked up my game again after almost a year of doing nothing with it. Let's see if it'll stick this time.
It has taken me almost two months to make one stage that's like five minutes of gameplay. I wish I didn't have to work so I could dev full time.
i did fucking nothing
remember to add volumetric gas to your games
oh forgot to mention that this weeked I had a real playtest thanks to a relative that was visiting me. It was cool to see someone else play the game live, figuring out stuff and killing goblins. I'm quite happy because there were barely any bugs (all fixed now) and feedback was positive, specially regarding difficulty: I was fearing the game could be too easy but it seemed to be "just fine" until the final part of the demo which seemed quite hard, but that's fine since that was my intention
>>740016151glad your mom played your game
>>740015990I add it in blender for my renders all the time. Especially glowing sprites and stuff.
>once user pointed it out last thread I can notice his posting consistency IS exactly the sameDamn, that was some fine detective work whoever figured that out.
>>740015990thats just bloom lmao>>740015832>how does that work? just vertex painting and then slapping a texture on top of it?nahh its basically unity's APVtheres a bit (a lot lol) more to it, but basically that. i dont wanna explain it too much until i figure it out a bit more, ive read through the API documentations 3 times already and still dont understand it completelybut the goal is to create a system that can cache realtime lights and fake "bake" them so it can have more lights on lower settings. in that pic rel, all the realtime lights are turned off but they're still lighting the scene close-ish to how it'd look if they were enabled.
>>740016691**it wont look like sherbert ice cream when it gets composited. at least i hope not i havent composited it yet lol since this will be passed through my fog and bloom first.
What's with everyone saying goblin anon and fygoon are the same person?
abandoned sketch for steam capsule art
>>740017163His fairy model or whatever is like a 1:1 of what fagoon does.
>>740017163some attention-seeking retard with desire to create drama
>>740017542Honestly there's a modicrum of truth to it possibly. It make me retroactively think back on threads and there's a lot of data to back it up. He showed up as a poster after fagoon got ousted and they have similar posting hours.
>>740017335Maybe this kind of split.>>740017163You'd do well to learn about the concept of samefagging.
>>740017696Oh and fagoon started these /v/ threads to try to restore his image and one of the first posts is always goblins...
animating
>>740017703the problem with something like that is that not every character gets to show face, but maybe i shouldn't try to have my cake and eat it too
>>740017703Doesn't Fygoon use Unity for The Frydarian Tale? I'm quite certain that the goblin dev is using Godot for his game dev endeavors.
>>740016691>but the goal is to create a system that can cache realtime lights and fake "bake" them so it can have more lights on lower settings.>in that pic rel, all the realtime lights are turned off but they're still lighting the scene close-ish to how it'd look if they were enabled.might be a silly question but since I don't know about Unity there it goes: isn't what you are describing basically the same as baking a lightmap? In Godot that doesn't look anything like what you posted>>740018361we are not the same person lmao. Do you think someone like Fagoon, who's capable of writting whole essays about his lore, would have a project running for a year and a half without giving it a proper name?
>>740018361That would honestly be some good pottery if true because fagoon also made it a note to really harp on how much he hates godot and how godot is terrible and people should only use unity. Easily carving out the narrative defense that he couldn't be goblin dev.
>oh shit, he even avatarfags like him with the same filename styling when making snarky replies
>>740017163Who tf is fygoon? I just joined these threads the other week
put in the start for a voting system, i have to make the Ui that shows the votes, but overall most of the pain will be with having the complex emotional system used for the voting system which will most liekly be done with applying all of the results into a wheel and spinning it with creating bias.
>>740019143
>>740019143Who's Fygoon?>A physical powerhouse>A street fighter>A weapons expert>He's whatever the situation demands

if you were about to make a yume nikki style game but in the Alice in wonderland universe, howd you do it? I need ideas, please
>>740019998
how many of you will be on /v/3 showcase?
>>740010209Amazing what a difference a few decent sfx can make to gamefeel.>>740019998The most overused setting in media. fucking read another book. hell, the first thing I thought about was the little prince and it has a hallucination wandering section built in.
>>740010209Save music production and sound fx work for people who actually know what they're doing. It's fucking cheap to outsource people like us.

>>740020282no I'm not a pedophile
>>740020187How does a profit share deal sound sweety?
>>740020335I can produce for you for $100 a minute.
>>740020082According to the lineup in the other thread, 70 devs
>>740020282I have and it is incredibly mid. Make a game based on Captain Vrungel, I want to gamble my money away for a rare Brazilian Banditto or a legendary Aboriginal-Disguised Kusaki.
Added directional dodge animations and reworked the attack animation to make it hopefully more satisfying.>>740010642I'm playing it for sure anon. Where are you releasing it?
>>740018854>might be a silly question but since I don't know about Unity there it goes: isn't what you are describing basically the same as baking a lightmap? In Godot that doesn't look anything like what you postedits kinda like baking, but not really. basically it'll take the realtime lights then cache them into a buffer, and only recalculate once every X frames, when there's a dynamic object entering into its probe volumes, when lights disabled, etc.and its pretty fast cus light calculations doesnt have to be on the surface shader at all, all the surface shader needs to do is sample a texture or since it uses APV it can be pushed onto objects with a post process.its basically jumping through a ton of hoops to make deferred lights lmao. except instead of lighting happening near the end, i can inject the lighting before or during post processing.
My job is giving me free Claude training and I'm wondering if this thing is actually good at coding Unity shit.I used it to process spreadsheets and make scripts in the training but idk how good this thing would be with an actual code base.
>>740017163its fagoon trying to get the thread to talk about him, just ignore it
>>740021084cant he just post progress like the rest of us lol.
Someone took down the LGBT question thread, so I'm just gonna dump my answer here:>>740018560There used to be this feeling that there's a lot of white dudeness and only straight people in everything, and many straights were actually even calling for it themselves to also sometimes show gay characters or be less generic. What happened since then is that it became sort of "popular" to associate yourself either with being a woke LGBT supporter (virtue signaling) or to be narcissistic about pretending you're a woman but actually aren't.I personally don't believe that real transgenders exist. I do believe some men are born with enough femininity, either in their voice, or their thought patterns where they just can't help themselves, and they might be very authentically womanlike, and people might accept their delusion that they're women. But it isn't how this went.Especially with Gen Z, it became propagandized so much that it's now a new form of peer pressure, for teenagers -- instead of deciding to be the most skilled sports jock, the coolest pop idiot, or the most contrarian emo in the room -- they are now calling attention to themselves by turning to the LGBT environment. These are not people who would die if they couldn't become women, or would feel discriminated if they can't suck other men off. It's normal fucking idiots who are PRETENDING they're snowflakes who have these needs, because there is a social contagion that has regurgitated and repeated these ideas, exactly like propaganda, and peer pressure always works so if a few people do something, others will either want to show support, or try to one-up them by doing it better. The question is then, "why can't we do this? Why can't that just be culture". Well, perhaps if we started with being honest about that, we could go from there, but everyone, especially those who don't buy into these ideas, have to LIE TO OURSELVES about things that are false.
>>740021146he devs once every 3 months
>>740021084No it's not. Seeing as how I'm not fagoon and most of this is making sense. >>740021201I ain't reading all that but you sound like a fag
>>740021146He's been posting here for literal years and hasn't made any progress in 2 of them. There's posters that have showed up and recreated his game in minutes just to insult him and he can't finish his game.
It's a music day.Wanted to diversify the music in my game from '1 track that plays for all of single player' to ' a track for each of the seven stages/worlds/zones whatever you wanna call it"so i'm making 6 new songs, one for each stage of the game. I think it will add a good bit of variety.Heres a couple of the new tracks:This one's called cowboy trash:https://voca.ro/1jmzedSHJ8AFThis one's called cafe trash:https://vocaroo.com/1dP8ds74EHEQ
>>740020304do you browse /pol/?
>>740021507Nope.
i'm making a mount for saints row 2 to render the map in another engine, extremely hard getting it to run smoothly though, probably why the original game ran like shit on pc too
>>740020658no I want to make a game based on Alice
>>740021496>making new songs>its just AI
>>740021575ok
>>740020705very neat progress anon. I believe the player's trail could look better with more after-images in place but not sure. Also loving the boss animations, dude has a lot of style. Is there any hitstop implemented? I believe that could help in making the hits feel more meaty>I'm playing it for sure anon. Where are you releasing it?nice! It'll be released on my game's itch page and I will spam the board left and right once it's released>https://tintodev.itch.io/project-goblin>>740020978damn, that sounds complicated lol. Thanks for the explanation anon! I don't know if there's anything like that for Godot but I'll check it out. Best of luck with it! Seems like a nice way of optimizing the game>>740020282never read it and didn't even like the movie. Why not make a game based on something cool instead like Dragonlance or The Dark Tower? I'd play the shit out of that
>>740021658I mean if you can get a better sound than i can using actual DAWs be my guest, but i like making melodies and harmonies and throwing it into ais to get stems to use that are better instrumented versions of the notes. I woudln't trust it to just "make a song" but if you know music theory you can end up with something a little better than just shitty plugins and instruments you have to tweak.
>>740021810Of course I can get a better sound. I also don't need AI to write and play the parts lmao.
>>740021928You post a lot of words but no sounds, i hear music not read it off of a post on /v/, I also just use it for voicings and write the actual music/notes myself but your kind is only interested in shitflinging
>>740021787>damn, that sounds complicated lol. Thanks for the explanation anon! I don't know if there's anything like that for Godot but I'll check it out. Best of luck with it! Seems like a nice way of optimizing the gameim hoping to someday recreate something like Splinter Cell or Hitman Blood Money one day, so the little raccoon game i'm making is a nice start even if its super inspired by Untitled Goose Game as well as regular stealthbasically doing a small tech demo of the raccoon, then i'll either go back to my weird dreamy game again, or start the stealth splinter cell one. prob the stealth one since thats my fav genre for games anywayi miss my old project but it was so bloated with all of the mini games inside of it i had to stop lol.
>>740022037Here's the current scratch track for a song being worked on https://vocaroo.com/1nLJQNFpWclj you can count it as my progress post for the day.
>>740020082me
>>740022129damn I'm dumb, didn't realize it was you all along lol. Did you get to release the minigames one? I remember talking with you about it and that you could release it in it's current form to maybe revisit it in the future. The racoon game looks super cool, even more since you told me it'll have beavers too. Good luck with it man!
no real progress because ambitions got left unchecked and anxiety crept in. only managed to talk myself back down to my original scope (small) with the help of a friend recently but perfectionism is still clouding some decisions
>>740022219Look i'm actually not going to shit on you I acutally quite like the chorus effect you put on the guitar, I'm mainly a guitar player myself so that's kind of where i base everything off of. I like the overall like sound of it but i can tell you definitely need to add like a melody or some other hook to carry over the chords and strumming, which i'm not sure if you are intending to do or not. Also i guess it totally depends on the game you're putting it in. Just a lot of mud when that chorus kicks in
>>740022530I'm the producer/engineer of the track so I didn't write the main chords, it's a vocal song so the vocal melody is what carries the track and I won't have at that done until the vocalist comes over tonight after work. I wrote the bass line and added the secondary guitar octave riff to the chorus as well as notes on the direction of the drumming. I think I used the TAL Chorus free VST for that chorus effect on the guitar and then a bunch of processing eq and stuff afterwards, it also was recorded through a sansamp RBI. This track of course isn't for a video game but for a vinyl record release bonus track. The original song is just acoustic and vocals from a previous EP. Although I have done video game tracks.
>>740022353>Did you get to release the minigames one? I remember talking with you about it and that you could release it in it's current form to maybe revisit it in the futurenahh i ended up deleting a bunch from that project, now its a skeleton of its former selfi had an idea for redoing loading into new areas/levels based off of this webm rel i had made, but doing that would've forced me to completely restart everything, cus all of the saving, levels themselves, and a few other things would need drastic changesi still have the core parts of it, so if i were to restart it'd be possible, but idk. A lot of the game didn't feel focused and it was all over the place, so it'd be a ton of half-baked ideas put together.
>>740021787because I want to make a game based on Alice in wonderland
>>740022924Okay thats why it sounded so much more like a "song" song cool yeah i'm sure this one will turn out great then anonI usually only produce or listen to instrumental music so thats why it sounded like that to me
>>740023052Yeah, I think one of the last times I did any sort of video game-esque track specifically it was probably this one late last year and I never finished it I just kind of jammed it out one night while chillin. https://vocaroo.com/1dUUtC4uBeEn
>>740022976the transition is a bit jarring but everything else looks amazing. Whatever you dev next I hope you keep doing your shader magic, love it man>>740023008Can't argue with that lel. Good luck with the game anon! Hope to see your progress soon
>>740023201Pretty cool, i'd use this in the intro to a metroid-vania or a futuristic stealth action game
>>740023474Thanks, yeah I tend to gravitate towards a sort of industrial cyber sound when doing video game stuff and I start blending synths and distorted guitar (which somehow always turns into feedback and pinch/regular harmonics). I don't know if that's just the "everything is crab" outcome of blending those things or if it's just my 90s childhood. When I do other types of music like RPG songs or something I always limit myself to a more narrow synth scope.
>>740023474>>740023827Oh here we go, found another one from awhile ago https://vocaroo.com/1ohyLNSn42Vs This one is called The Bog
>>740023827My thing is that i always try to approach each song from a completely different genre angle, I try not to make any two songs that sound super similar. The only real through line with a lot of my work is that i pretty much exlusively use the minor key>>740023990Very much a "you just fell intoa hole to a forest/swamp/stomach in an RPG and have to find your way out"Here's one for my other project that i'm not making until I have a budget to make it great:https://vocaroo.com/1YcyeUGMcvLf
>>740023464thanks if you have some ideas tell me
>>740024223would love to but I haven't played Yume Nikki nor am that familiar with Alice stuff, sorry
>>740009987I bought SRPG Studio as it is on sale for $30
>>740024307ok thx anyway
>>740024197Pretty neat, reminds me of some recent FF or other Japanese action game type stuff. It reminds me of shredders suite from TMNT https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3mVTf-ppd2s
>>740023464>the transition is a bit jarring but everything else looks amazing. Whatever you dev next I hope you keep doing your shader magic, love it manthanks goblin broyeah its kind of a bummer but i realized a lot of my shaders do not work in a first person POV without really specific framing + levels layoutsthe raccoon game/tech demo thing will be a more fixed top-down perspective, so im hoping it'll let me get away with a few more rendering tricks since i wont have to keep in consideration the camera rotating or being able to get super close to objects.
up
I want to make a game where you are stuck in a casino. Everyone, including you, cheats in there. What games would you like to see in a game like this? So far I decided on blackjack, slots, roulette and poker (exclusive for the final boss)
>>740028035Do you know how to move a character in an engine? ;)
>>740028184Not yet.. I mostly fucked around with pygame and SFML (I made a few simpler 2D projects)
>>740028035There was a point and click game I played a long time ago where you have to play several card games against a character, I remember one was High or Low, and then the last one was Three Card Monte, which he always cheats in and the only way to win is to cheat back (you have to make him turn his head and then mark the right card, then you can see that he snuck it back onto the deck and it shows the mark on it while he's shuffling idly)
>>740028445do you remember the name of that game? Sounds cool
>>740028387Start with pong. forget about any 'dream game' until at least 2 years from now.
>>740028567It was called Octavia in The Underworld's Cello.I neglected to mention that it's a pony game. Also it never got finished I think, but it was a neat homage to Uninvited, down to the death music being a remix.
>>740028658I made that already. So far I made pong in C, blackjack, half of a chess simulator (I gave up when I realized how many edge cases there are, it was also my 2nd project so it didn't help lol) in C++, a pokemon gen 1 battle simulator in python and I'm currently making roulette also in python

why is outsourcing so ridiculously expensive? I just want some sound effects engineered and these creatures want like 8 weeks of my paychecks' worth for like 6 sounds. even the cheap ones.
>>740029315Do the following two things:>do a cover of a song you like, if it has a MIDI file available, use it>find a song you like where all of its instruments are known, then make a new song using only those same instrumentsIf the first song sucks, you're bad at picking instruments/mixing, focus on thatIf the second song sucks, you're bad at composing melodies/chords/rhythms, focus on that

I made a system that loads areas based on the HTML image map I made for the Zmeian Compendium. At the moment it is able to recognize where the player is located in each region, but it's still a little buggy. With the information I gathered from this exercise, I feel like I can improve the existing trigger-based system to be less buggy.

progress on the transformation, still need to add screens shake and some camera zoom. Thinking it needs max mana on all elements, plus this long animation. If a player manages to pull it off he gets an op transformation. Not really viable in completive play unless the opponent is a retard and it's more just for fun. If the opponent interrupts he can steal the philospher's stone and do the transformation himself.
>>740009987No visual update this week.Have been struggling with>NPC patrolling system (with marker nodes and named routes)>scenario script parser>animation and camera controls in dialogue script parser>new friendly NPC companion AI (Plink)Will soon be able to show him off in-game. You'll be able to pick him up and throw him, and he can pick items, crates, pots and gems for you.Eventually I want to make him a "little brother" coop character. He can't die, and will respawn just outside of view if he falls off a cliff. Can't attack, but can run around, jump, pick up stuff.Oh, and he'll carry your inventory, so you need to talk to him to open your inventory. Just pray your enemies don't pick him up and throw him out of reach when you need a potion.
>>740047349Really happy with how the patrolling system is coming together, by the way.>Just slap down nodes called R_A1, R_A2, etc. anywhere>snaps to surface>Give full command over each NPC instance through scenario script>Go to nearest point on Route A, continue until point 3, wait 3 seconds while turning left/right, then hurry to point 5, loop back to 3 and then go to nearest point on route B, etc. It's simple, but so neat

Was originally going to go for an old desktop look for the computer console but anything not abstract looks out of place, so I just decided to put a few rotating donuts in a cylinder and call it a day. During playtesting I had an issue where people were skipping the computer console entirely so they didn't read the story text logs they unlocked after each level, but I finally came up with a possible solution: force players to interact with it to unlock the doors to the next levels.>>740048852I feel you buddy.
>>740048974
>>740048974if you dragged/dropped into the base sample scene, then it'll most likely have a non cinemachine camera in the scene, which will override the one on the controller.>>740015354this turnd out super neat. i might not even need a lit materials anymore since the post processes can just sample that same texture array instead of doing it on the surface shader. all it needs is some information from the APV and spherical harmonics thing, which is super easy to access and my volume fog/lights reads from it alreadythe brushes are a little blurry on the raccoon but thats an easy fix, the painty shaders not using the regular data pass cus thats on my surface shader. in pic rel it's just Unity's default unlit shader.

>>740035957It's literally quite the opposite
>>740056663I think you still need a programmer but current AI is indeed really good at coding, and parsing through documentation.
>>740056885If you know enough about your software/code it makes some things a breeze, especially for initial layout of stuff. "I have this node tree with this, I need to attach a script to this that does this" you attach a picture of your node tree with the names of everything and it knows exactly what to name things in the code. Then you tweak from there.Things that used to take hours or reading documentation or googling replaced by a 30 second prompt.
>>740057065Yeah, often times you know what to write but actually laying down the code may take hours. The best use for AI is getting rid of tedious tasks such as these, and if art-centric AI tools did something similar for artists I think they would be more accepted.
>>740056238Wait what?
>>740057184AI tools can do things like that or can be used like that in art, but the issue is that authentic expression of the entire thing is kind of the point of it in the first place.also at least for music (the art I know the best) any work that could be stripped away, I don't want to be stripped away as there would be something missing in the creative process, which will change the outcome invariably.the only applicability I could see is having tools that help or automate production, mixing and mastering tasks. I personally don't care too much about that beyond making stuff not sound muddy or thin and having no instrument unnecessarily overpower the other.and such tools already exist.

>>740057184I make ai do dumb shit like build me a data table, i will fix the rows to my liking but do the mundane stuff for me.
>>740057308And i find arranging notes and melodies to be far more fun and rewarding than tweaking VST parameters and synths to get a perfect sound, thanks AI. If you know how to work with it you can get it to preserve your actual intent/feeling behind the track without raping it

>>740057843Us oldfags are all that remains of old 4chan, and that has to be worth something because websites don't leave ruins for future archaeologists. The /v/3 Steam event starts tomorrow so be there, or be square.
>>740057184I'm sure it could speed up something like UVs/textures which dont matter as much for art. Or animation rigging.
>>740058101Personally I think that texturing can be more than opening Substance Painter, especially for more stylized art styles.Rigging is a better example as most people rely on automatic weights and dislike weight painting.
>>740057307One of the anons noticed that fagoon and goblin dev do the exact same shit and post the same hours and everything. Also look who always posts first in these threads it's always either fagoon or goblin dev. Once you see it you can't unsee it.
>>740058234Yeah texturing can be more if you need it to be, especially a stylized game but for some stuff you can already get away with "x texture" google search results or simple things within blender etc. So going to AI and getting a unique texture and slapping it on something or having it do UV unwrap or something could save time I'm sure.
>>740058372Not to mention was the only one rasko wasn't lashing out at during his melty.
>>740058548I just figured he pinballed between people during his fits.
Any good Unity tutorials? I found myself having a lot of free time recently and I want to give gamedev a shot.
>>740058605Yeah he usually only targets 1 or 2 during his melties but specifically it's who he glazes when he's not having a meltie. Which is what I noticed in this thread as a similarity myself. When fagoon is being "friendly" to another dev and having a "normal response conversation" his tone is the exact same fake ass tone that goblin dev is using doing the same things. Avatar and everything...
>>740058640Just look up what you plan on wanting to do and go to youtube and the documentation and search how to do it in unity. There's no best practice way to do anything, just dip your toes in and get to work.
>>740058640catlike coding, a bit outdated in some places, but it's still a solid foundation.
Honestly, I'm trying to think back to when goblin dev showed up in threads and I'm pretty sure it is right on the money of when fagoon had his first big crash out lmfao. I'm wayyy too lazy and don't actually care enough to find out but if one of you autistic fuckers could go look in archives and confirm that'd be cool.
Ok which devs are fagoon so I know who to stop replying to?
>>740058438I mean it's not really unique but the fight about stolen assets was lost a long time ago.You could also ask the AI to give you a procedural texture instead using shaders. AI is ok at vibecoding shaders.
>>740058957It's a fight that never made sense. Textures are pretty much universal like, a brick is gonna be a brick, dirt is gonna be dirt. There's ways to differentiate what you're doing and the output can change as well with how you are actually using the final assets but a random base line png isn't really important. In fact, multiple times I've used pictures I've taken in real life as the start for a texture because it's just fucking easier. Having AI morph a unique new "tree bark" or whatever isn't a bad thing it's just saving time.
>>740059032I don't know about that, I appreciate texture autism. Some people see some dirt while walking around and think "this is the perfect dirt for my 4K texture pack".It's like sound effect autism. There are people out there who find a broken mop and a bucket and think "this would make a great slicing meat sound".
