Ferdinand is potentially decent, like Felix and Leonie, but is obnoxious to recruit and not worth it most of the time. Sylvain honestly is too, if you're not getting him for free as female. Hilda is similarly worth recruiting as Blue Lions, but since you can't get her in Black Eagles until after the route split if you go Church, she's ass. On the flipside, Lorenz, Raphael, Ashe, Caspar, Dorothea, and sorta Anette, Mercedes, and Linheardt are all worth dumping for an out of house replacement. Some of them have some half decent ways to build them, but generally offer so little that they're barely worth it. Anette, Mercedes, and Linheardt are "okay" but just offer very little over just replacing them with Flayn or another, better caster from the other houses.Everyone else is pretty eh out of house, there's no real reason to use them out of comparable in-house units that have the advantage of more tutoring and better skill exp distribution.
