What the FUCK is wrong with zoomers, man? What the hell is the point of this shit?
>>740834540it is sloop, just backwards
for swimming i think
There were 4chan threads of this shit like a decade ago. Young people mimic the older ones. It's like CoDkiddies, but for internet memes.
>>740834540zoomoidaloidalgroidalniggoidals are afraid of their own shadows and are also addicted to fear and freaking out because they are effeminate gay twink niggers
What if you were walking into one place you thought it was empty but then THERE WAS LE MONSTER
>>740834540What's scary about this? This is maximum comfy.
>>740835012AIEEEEEE BUT WHAT IF A DECAYED ANIMATRONIC SHOWED UP!?:!?:!
>>740834540average zoomer doesn't know how to swimpools are terrifying
>>740835095Most community pools are like 5 feet deep at most.
This game and dreamcore were way better in the demo before all the faggots and redditors were complaining that having an actual entity in the game was too spooky and they just wanted to walk around until the end with no objectives or threats
>>740834540I always assume people complaining about backrooms / liminal games do so intentionally baiting people into talking about the genre. Mostly because they constantly compare games within the genre to older horror games like Silent Hill or Siren.Completely misses the point of the games. They're not supposed to be conventionally scary.
>>740835350>faggots saying that having a monster "kills the vibes" in a fucking horror game are just redditorsIt all makes sense now, even the original backrooms 4chan post talks about monsters, these faggots that unironically just want empty rooms are retarded.
>>740835012I've always felt the backrooms/liminal areas are in a way meant to be comfy and have a sense of wonder as well as eerie unease as to what COULD be lurking. But most of the games just have these areas be backdrops to a generic monster that stalks you.
>>740835012imagine being in an abandoned place like that, not even alone, could be with a friend. it would still be kind of unsettling. now imagine actually being alone there, like you teleported there and you have no idea how to get out or how big the place is. that's not even a bit scary
>>740834540>buy game>it's closed
>>740834540zoomers probably eating pussy rn while you make a thread targeting them on vee lol
>>740836013lel
>>740835350Wait... so there's no threat in the entire game?
>>740834832this
>>740834540I watched an egirl play this after she chugged a bunch of bottles of water so she could piss herself when a scare happened.
>>740836787>I'm a degenerate!! WE KNOW.
>>740834540Im 49 and this is scary because when I was a kid some nigget faggot shit in the pool
>>740835906I’ve sneaked into the local water park at night numerous times as a teenager. It’s so serene and comfy I love it
>>740834931that was called vaporwave
I think the extended backrooms "lore" is a bit cringe, but I think you are just being reactionary in the sense that you can't understand why liminal spaces are a bit unsettling. Honestly, it's basically the same exact thing as thalassophobia, and deep sea threads have been a part of this board forever.
>>740834540The footstep sounds in these games make me feel good.
>>740837003>its like being scared of the oceanAre you telling me zoomers are scared of the ocean now? This isnt helping their case, I just hate them even more.>>740835906>now imagine actually being alone there, like you teleported there and you have no idea how to get out or how big the place is.Only as "scary" as if you got teleported to the middle of the woods. Yeah, it sounds like it would suck, but it doesnt sound as scary as it sounds annoying.
>>740834540>>740835012Out of all the liminal space horror shit I think I'm actually gonna play this, because I always thought these pictures of impossible pools are cool and I even dreamed of such places, pleasantly, since I was in indoor aqua parks or "experience baths" alot as a kid
>>740834540Zoomers are all half mulattoes so they can't swim
>>740838503>experience bathsIs this what inner city faggots call Turkish bath houses?
The real problem with this is something I picked up when seeing a zoomer on youtube say the scary part was asking "who is maintaining this?"As a millennial, the fear is "your mind", or "no one".But in the comments sections the zoomers keep saying the fear is "some spooky monster made of rusty parts">>740838503I like the stairs, but the geometry for the pools is not very aesthetic.
>>740838761No it's the translation of how Germans call their indoor aqua parks
>>740837605post the real version
Ben, I know you're browsing this thread. It's not your fault I drowned in that pool. It shouldn't have been your responsibility to watch me.Mom and dad don't hate you, they're just sad, you have to move on.
I get the feeling theyre trying to convey it just doesn't really make for a good game usually
>baths/pools with no windowsThere I solved the spooky question. It's claustrophobia.
do they have chlorine?
>>740839180I'm not claustrophobic THOUGHIE
>>740836068Zoomers don't have sex
I swear to fuck you fags can't think ahead more than the immediate next 5 seconds. Actual brown behavior.>You have wound up somewhere unknown through no fault or intent of your own>You don't know the terrain or layout>You don't know if the water is safe to wade in or traverse>You don't know if there's any potable water to be had>You don't know if there are any edible food sources>You don't know if there's a way out of this place>You don't know if you're alone in hereAll of these things should be unsettling to anyone with a brain and functional survival instinct, something certain demographics notably lack.
>>740839340Nah, it's still not scary.
>>740834540Initially all the different types of liminal spaces were notable because they invoked memories we all had as children but could barely remember, at a weird crossroads of nostalgia and deja vu. The poolrooms were always reminiscent of pools and water parks so many people went to as children, the backrooms were maybe an old store or grandparents house built in the 70s, there were versions for malls, party rooms, hotels, and a bunch of other places. All intimately familiar but strangely empty and unplaceable at the same time. The problem is none of this shit translates well to a video game and every attempt thus far is either a walking simulator or a game of hide and seek with a monster. It's hard to gamify vague feelings of nostalgia and unease and I don't really think any of these devs know what made the liminal spaces so interesting in the first place. You really need an aspect of psychological horror to make it work and IIRC subliminal is the only one to make an attempt at it, never played it tho.
>>740835012if there's sunlight it's not scaryif there's no sunlight it's scarysimple as
>>740835012It is, until you realize there is no exit.
>>740839487What the fuck, sunlight is the scariest thing there is
