Do you guys think Granblue is the best game to identify real player skill? The game is just SF2 minus the brokenness that was in SF2. No gimmicks. No Drive Mechanics. It's slow and rewards proper decision making. Like, in that game every decision matters at the high level. You can't out gimmick your opponent. The entire game is decision making and knowledge checks. Any experienced fighting game player can pick up Granblue and immediately thrive in that space so long as you have superior understanding of fighting games. I just don't have it in me to play fighting games anymore. I'm here all the time, hoping that it'll boost my interest. I spent way to much time on these on games. From getting good to being upset about modern games. From playing on Delay Based Netcode to wishing all my games had Rollback. Then when they got Rollback I was too burnt out. All my friends either abandoned gaming or playing modern slop now. I don't have anyone to motivate me to jump back in. A character like Naoto really forces you to be cautious of when you're sending out a projectile since he can very easily punish it with a variety of different options that are all equally belligerent.
