Anon, Hollywood stole literally rejected scripts for quite some time and paid something only when the writer went to court

Why should he? The original poster chose to keep his identity hidden because he either didn't care about what he wrote or felt pressured by 4chan's "tripfag" stigma.

I think this is hilarious. But because it means all those people in "the industry" are going to be snooping around here for ideas and when I insult games and movies for being gay and retarded that means I'm more and more likely to be insulting the director themselves

Barotrauma got made because the main dev was a 4channer that liked PRESSURE threads.

>Young person makes a successful product based on a social media post
>Lesson learned is that we need to trawl social media for stories instead of supporting young creators
Why?

This is the real reason imageboards are dying. People can't just make a dumb post and the biggest thing that will come of it is maybe getting a screencap reposted of it. Now everyone will try to commercialise literally anything they can get away with and people don't want the thing they said to be stolen and profited from while they have zero evidence that they are the ones that made it.

i think it's funny when the dumb shit i've made gets reposted, every time you see one it has more ifunny-tier watermarks and has more crusty jpeg artifacts, but what's more entertaining is where this total dogshit pops back up.

there's actually some chinese botfarm money laundering online storefront out there somewhere that's selling pillows with an image macro i made printed on them. totally no reason why someone would actually buy one but the option exists.

you mean people are aware that their posts can be screencapped and farmed on twiiter, so they watermark them, and that images are being converted to jpgs and downscaled, so your original one has more value and power and so it's more difficult to train ai on them?
