>>741931678This is true but the repetitive aspect, which is the more important point, is true for all those games. Each session plays more or less exactly the same. You could say that meccha chameleon on a surface level plays the same each match but the fact you have complete freedom over how to hide makes it pan out quite differently every time. The moment to moment is much more varied than those games with the different paintjobs and switching between hunter and hider. Compare that to peak or RV there yet, which both have you doing mostly the same thing for the entire duration of the session. The workshop support is also huge for a game like this. Alot of friendslop games have procedurally generated content which means infinite variation on paper but usually ends up actually being very slight variations of the same thing.

>>741932218Cheating at this game would be as pointless as cheating in solitaire. I can't possibly imagine what enjoyment someone could get out of it but you're probably right. I think the ease of making workshop maps as well as the different game modes really help it feel varied. They also just released a new cubical body shape and some player size variants which change the hiding strategies a surprising amount. What variation there is in this game is meaningful enough to make it have much more sustained replayability than typical friendslop games.
