Lunacid has way too many basic levels that feel like they were drawn on grid paper with no intent of design or purpose like the catacombs and the poison cave area. The best level in the game was the library. A focus on grounded exploration that sees you actually engaging with every elements in a level instead of Lunacid where you're quake jumping around everything by the halfway pount. There's nothing inherently wrong with it, but I really felt disappointed by the game directly advertising itself as a successor to those.

I liked Lunacid a lot, but I didn't particularly care that it failed to recapture King's Field 1:1. It's not a hard game but movement is fun after a while and it scratches the itch for autism tier secret hunting.
