I think this dialogue has some pretty interesting implications for Ralsei's character.People have been theorizing that Noelle will eventually replace Ralsei in the party, and I think that's going to happen next chapter when Ralsei decides to start doing things his own way. Ralsei is 100% going to get freedompilled and become a schizoboss.
My biggest concern with the overall narrative since Chapter 2 has been that I'm not just invested in the Holiday stuff at all, so I worry if the final direction will land for me. I think Noelle and stuff adjacent to her is very interesting on the Weird Route but otherwise I don't especially care for it, I never had an interest in Dess and Carol hasn't earned my interest either. Obviously Dess is going to be a big part of it in the end, but I hope it doesn't end up banking too much on you caring about the mystery of what happened to her in the end, unless Chapter 6 brings it more to the forefront and makes me care more.I think it's a bit unfair to say Noelle isn't interesting because she's only interesting in the Weird Route, because I think one of the strengths of the storytelling in both this and Undertale is how it uses different routes to contextualize characters differently and give you a fuller portrait of them, and that's the case with Noelle too so it feels a bit silly to act like they're two totally different characters, but I still hope something happens with her that parallels the traits she exhibits in the Weird Route in an interesting way or something at some point.
