But i still grabbed a copy of Ghost of Yotei and as i found out it was entirely on the disc and playable offline. Meaning it was only really Rockstar that changed the precedent for everyone here. Im not here to take any side any anon has on this particular clusterfuck. If a game is good, then it deserves life, if it is mediocre from someone with a pedigree like Rockstar, or if it is just straight up bad, then it deserves to flop, and flop hard.

However, everything that has been presented from Rockstar thus far has shown little promise, has yet to show anything that raises the bar for the franchise, and shows signs of stockholder meddling in nearly every decision they've made. On top of all of this, it's been 13 years since GTA V and 8 years since RDR 2, and all of these factors are worrying for anyone who wants to see GTA 6 succeed, players, Rockstar, and stockholders alike. Especially with the $80 price tag just for the base game, the $100 tag for mildly interesting extras, and the $120 tag for even less. Incredibly long incubation times for games these days has shown to be tantamount to mediocrity, and everything thus far is painting a pretty shitty picture.

The hope is there, but experience has taught so many hard lessons these past few years that ignoring all of these red flags would be a waste of my time and money.

Do I hope it flops? Only if it's an 8/10 or less on my personal grading scale, and I couldn't give a single iota of a fuck about any "reviews" out in the wild.
Will I bring popcorn and marshmallows to watch it all burn down if it does flop? You bet your fucking ass I will.
