They were subdued and burned alive. An amateur recording of his latest victim was shown, filmed just minutes before the killer's capture: a man standing there with the right side of his body completely charred, leaving only his teeth and one eye intact.Next, survivors of Tenório gave their testimonies. All of them were horribly disfigured by burns. During his capture, Tenório was surrounded by his victims chanting his name and clamoring for his torture and death in guttural screams.

the last time i had a dream that resembled yume nikki i was playing as this guy with a metal ball for a head. i recall being in some sort of semi-transparent, disjointed building with a visible parallax background of these jagged black-and-red wisp shapes, not unlike giygasevery once in a while i'd get attacked by some sort of weird creature, usually a humanoid with some weird symbolic looking features like one of them having a mask that'd flip around like a phanto to reveal a weird cyclopean mass of fleshother ones included a weird blue king guy who had a crown with another crown in it ala double king along with an outfit that consisted of two of those king robe mantle things; the outer one would act as a separate shield enemy i had to kill first, a weird gooey thing that had these big vertical slits for eyes that'd glare at you to inflict status effects, and what looked like a mass of bear traps that'd counterattack when hitthis would make for a bomb ass psychological horror game
I dreamt that I met up with my childhood friend, but he had finally gone bald. It wasn't surprising because he's been losing it for a while, but the venue was oddly high class and there were other people from high school there. I spoke with them and had normal conversations which caused me to realize how strange I had acted back then. Eventually I woke up.

How do you feel about combat/gameplay other than simple walking around and hunting for effects in a YN-like? An idea I had involved some more 'immersive sim' esque elements alongside the usual exploration of worlds.

I believe some amount of interactivity isn't bad but eventually it stops being a Yume Nikki-like if the mechanics get too invasive. See YNDD to get an idea of what you shouldn't do (except block world and snow valley those maps were cool as they figured out their mistake at the last minute).Yume Nikki-likes are best when they're contemplative, liminal, have cool abstract art and leave things up to the player's interpretation, I think Nophenia (just released) does this best, even if it's a tad linear.
