and yet when I post a real thread for a game I actually like it gets 3 replies over two hours then 404s

Because this board is flooded with gossiping retards who got banned on other social platforms for being too obnoxious.

Red Alert 3 was good, people complaining about unit active abilities were just unwilling to learn a new mechanic. C&C had always rewarded heavy unit micro and all the abilities were on the same hotkey. The only flaw was having to use control groups to effectively utilize the active abilities of large numbers of different units.

Shocking, isn't it?
>>
>>743015992
almost every C&C would be significantly better if units cost at least 4x more so they were much more of a commitment and micromanaging them mattered more

as is the dominant strategy all the way up to low pro ranks is just "print as many tanks as possible and smash them against the enemy blindly"
>>
>>743014714
It must be bots on those outrage threads. IT GETS OLD after a while.
Anyways im replaying da origins, maybe i should try other rts games. Ive only played dow soulstorm
>>
>>743014714
/v/ always had threads for Anons to jerk off together.
The rest is rapepae flooding the place with /pol/roaches on their ipad.

>hey, dude with a stick near a training mannequin (sensei), i sat arms-legs wide apart of front of an old tv with an antenna/new flipped upside-down tv, but on the other side there is a child on the table holding a dog (standing on its back legs) by the neck with his feet

Gacha threads and the infestation they bring with them are the problem.

>Gacha threads and the infestation they bring with them are the problem.

I thought the mods banned gacha generals from /v/. How come we have daily doa VV threads?
>>
>>743015992
The commander abilities I didn't like because AI can just use them nilly willy on you without you being able to do anything about it
>>
>>743015992
I liked RA3 too, the only thing that I really didn't like about it was how wackier the designs got compared to RA2 (which was already wacky by itself), still a pretty good game overall, I just wish it had a bigger modding community like the 2nd game.

?????
Nigga what sometimes I add and deleted empty spaces to help me read better

the "reddit spacing" meme needs to die already
>>
>>743015992
It does look too cartoony but the effects are fantastic and still hold up today. The score is juicy too
>>
>>743015992
I love watching tournament matches. It looked like the game was a real banger competitively.
>>
>>743019402
anyone complaiing about reddit spacing is just outiing himself as a rediter cause I have no idea what they mean

This describes /v/ for over 10 years. Why the fuck do any of you people act surprised?

>Soviet won
I thought people complaining Allies are too OP?
>>
>>743020316
Dimon is (was) like the top soviet player and had to sweat to win. The shit allies can pull off with cryo is insane
>>
>>743020316
>>743020426
the "enemy" faction is generally where Westwood would experiment with the weirder niche mechanics so they tend to fare poorly competitively whereas the simplified "hero" faction ends up getting very straightforward and easily usable units to spam
>>
>>743020743
the Allies have always been the gimmicky ones though, while the Soviets are the straightforward spammers
>>
>>743020854
clearly that means the allies are the enemy then
>>
>>743020973
no the Allied campaign is the canon one you're meant to play first, like GDI. Though Nod/Soviets and GDI/Allies have reversed unit philosophy
>>
>>743021109
what is the nihongo faction
>>
>>743022098
they have like 2 good units but overall pretty mid
>>

>Upgrade mecha bay to tier 3
>Get one click commander power
>Minus 5k credits
It was a doomed faction from the start.
>>
>>743019891
this game graphically holds up so well today.

I don't even fucking care about C&C, but I will bump your thread out of decency.

This. Saying the website was bad before 2015 was always said in irony, but the website really, genuinely became bad after /pol/-user RapeApe took control of the website and replaced the entire staff with /pol/ members. This is factually correct information as well.
>>
>>743014714
Foreign bad actors realized this platform is the perfect place to plant dividing topics, program the youth and tear the west apart.

Go to any right wing internet circle and watch them parrot /pol/
Same for right wing gaming engagement farms on Xitter, Instagram and kikebook

This is not just an image board.
Since 2016 it became the right wing culture wars think tank, outsourced to Russia, Iran, Israel and china
The rest do it for free
>>
>>743015992
RA3 had the horrible ore refinery mechanic, no double eco gem fields, and economy was insanely slow and all units died in 3 shots to whatever was strong against them. Entire armies would disappear in a 5 second engagement, you couldn't do grand strategy in active combats like in C&C3.
Other than that it was good, the soundtrack was a banger, the campaign was good albeit short, and the FMVs were insanely good with Spamalot-era peak Tim Curry.

>>743016093
>almost every C&C would be significantly better if units cost at least 4x more so they were much more of a commitment and micromanaging them mattered more

No. C&C is about building and clashing fuckhuge armies, not micromanaging 3 units total.

Can you link it?
