Can we stop pretending 2's gameplay is god tier? It's decent, but it has its problem.2's gameplay is very good for unique monsters and bosses. Building up the elemental orbs and smashing them in a chain attack feels fantastic. It SUCKS for regular enemies though. Ridiculous health sponges. They can take several minutes to kill. I actively tried avoiding them as much as I possibly could when playing 2 and if I'm doing that the game design is failing.

In 1, killing an enemy during a chain attack refills the party gauge, encouraging you to use chain attack against regulars enemies and rewarding you for fighting larger groups of enemies. In X, regaining tp is easy enough to use overdrive on regular enemies. In 2 and 3, chain attacks take too long, don't increase your party gauge during them, can't be ended early, and worst of all have overkill.
