I've done it a few times, I just open a stream and mute it and switch tabs and come back a few hours later for my free shit. It doesn't really convince me to play a game because I only do it for games I already play. I guess they get a +1 viewer count for what that's worth. But most of the drops look like shit so I don't even bother getting them
