Once every now and then, I like to discuss UTY and the things its inspired over the years. It was a fun game but seeing the ways its driven people to make things has always been good stuff.Id also like to hear if any other anons were inspired by some other games, or if youre working on any vidya related projects of your own.Come and discuss video games with me, share your passion for /v/idya
As for me, it got me to start writing. Id still like to write an original horror story eventually, but it helped give me the confidence to get out of my head and start writing something at all, even if most of what I write are shitty fanfiction(that I love)
>>748592509
>>748592509Sorry anon, this isnt a general. Theres a very specific yet simple topic you are failing to discuss! Please dont tell me you have nothing to share, no creative works to expose your heart with.
>>748592509And you belong in a trash can but I ain’t gonna force you there, even chimps have rights after all.
>>748592558that's a good way of putting it, and exactly why the rule about generals doesn't say you can't have threads about a specific game.
>>748592397Sometimes I wonder if the UTY devs made the right choice by not redesigning practically anything from the ruins, I know that would have added dev time and all, but the end result is that you forget that Dalv exists at allOh well, at least Dalv will serve as an example of what not to do with the first main boss of a fangame
>>748592756I don't think they made the right choice on one hand, but on the other hand if they did redesign it, they may have set a precedent that caused them to keep redesigning other areas and never finish the game.
>>748592814>they may have set a precedent that caused them to keep redesigning other areas and never finish the game.It was probably for the best, otherwise they might have fallen victim for the UT Futility syndrome
>>748592984>It was probably for the best, otherwise they might have fallen victim for the UT Futility syndrome"this needs to be redesigned, and here's our new ruins sprites, and while we were at it we redesigned clover and-"yeah, that could get out of hand really quick.
>>748592558Feels like you could maybe curtail it down to saying that a general is a vaguely game themed chatroom.Especially with how the internet is now, liking or discussing the game itself isn't something to expected or relied on as a rule.Discussing with any actual other people is also optional, regrettably.
Do you guys think UTY should have been harder or that the team made the right choice with the difficulty?I remember some complaints about the ruins attack giving you little room to react, geno Ceroba feeling like bullshit to fight and pre nerf Zartlet being insane, but other than that I didn't have much problem with difficulty in the rest of the game, its certainly much harder than Undertale was
I’d like to take this opportunity to tell those who don’t know that the fanfic “Falling out of trouble” has come back from its hiatus with two new chapters and a new one in the horizon, so we can expect the creator still has the drive and inspiration to keep going.
>>748592554Mind sharing what kind of horror story it would be? Would it have any cute non human characters in it?
>>748593179I'm a firm believer that fangames should try to be harder than the main game,, having the same level of difficulty is fine but I expect fangame to do more with their gameplay and try things that the original game didn't because they had to appeal to a larger audience
>>748592756They did redesign Dalv, and it sucked.
>>748593393okay but that was way after the game released and for more retarded reasons, not the same kind of context
>>748593179>geno Ceroba feeling like bullshit to fightThis one has always baffled me because yes, her patterns are pretty hard to dodge but she also hits like a wet noodle so you have a lot of leeway to learn her patterns which are consistent and VERY predictable, it’s one of those fights you ONLY get better at.
>>748593417sorry anon, we already proved that this is not a general.
>>748593451Something that made the fight harder for me was that they give you the new gun just before the fight, and it took me a very long while to get used to the new minigame, also I kept running into her red walls which can quickly fuck you up
>>748593654Why did Ceroba of all character have those fucking red walls? she's a single mom, not a warrior, that attack alone is beyond what most monsters can do with their bullet patterns
>>748593179I think its hard enough.
>>748593654Well while this situation might be different in a case by case basis the same logic of “you will only get better at it with practice and perseverance” also applies here in a lot of cases this part is easier to adapt to, and your skill level will increase very quickly.
>>748593583Stop wasting effort replying to it mate
>>748593807But what if it were harder? what if the average boss fight took hours of attempts to beat and you had to think carefully of your equipment, and builds and attacks and... well maybe it is hard enough
>>748592397see, janny? they're not "one of the good ones." it's just the same deltatroons posting the same stealth general slop.
should I update?
>>748594007update what?
>>748593794A few times she is implied to be the strongest monster in the wild east, she’s unassuming but there are hints that she’s a lot stronger than she appears, add on that she might have produced some level of determination while also being enraged and having nothing to lose, it could be easy to see.
>>748593807enough people thought the game was too hard to the point they added an easy mode in an update, I can't think of UT/DR ever adding an easy mode, even if all what this easy mode does is give you more DF
>>748594007yes, I don't know what but yes.>>748593892sorry, you're right anon.
>>748594061>A few times she is implied to be the strongest monster in the wild eastis she?>might have produced some level of determinationI agree that she must have DT during that fight because she hits harder in geno, but that doesn't explain why her moveset is that good, being enraged gives you better stats not new moves
>>748593986They clearly wanted to balance the game around people who had played Undertale before, so their base line was people who had some experience with Undertale gameplay, but UT fans ain’t exactly master gamers, so they probably didn’t wanna go too overboard with it, or else the average UT fan might not even be able to finish pacifist.
>>748593386It doesn't have to be harder to shake up the gameplay.
>>748594045>>748594141Undertale Yellow, a fangame based off Undertale, made by Toby Fox, who also made DeltaruneI'm talking about that game, this is what this thread is about
>>748594232oh right, there's no real reason to update if you already have beaten the game, and if you want to replay, Shades of Justices has more content than the last update and it isn't compatible with it as far as I'm aware
>>748594232Oh, I thought you meant some creative work you were being vague about since creative works were mentioned in the OP.no you shouldn't update there's nothing to gain by that.
>>748594007No, the new update is terrible. They just replaced a bunch of sprites with inferior replacements and removed a few background NPCs. Because of "le groomers" (two year age gap between 2 teenagers).
>>748594202>or else the average UT fan might not even be able to finish pacifist.Unironically makes for a better narrative if pacifist is hard as balls and neutral is closer to UTY's current difficulty
>>748593794She works out.
>>748594380Undyne should copy her training routine because she's getting mogged by Roba in terms of moveset
>>748594208yeah, but harder games can be more fun than easy ones when there's a combat system involved, there's not much point in engaging with most of the mechanics if the game is too easy
>>748594179>is she? When talking with Dina after her fight she expresses surprise that you actually managed to defeat Ceroba, and at the end of pacifist Starlo also expresses genuine surprise and shock that Clover actually won (there might be more that I don’t remember) so at the very least we know that she has a reputation among the people that know her.>but that doesn't explain why her moveset is that goodDetermination gives individuals some level of meta ability I believe the box thing and HP lowering can be explained with DT, and for the attack patterns either she didn’t use her FULL bag of tricks in pacifist, or Clover’s lack of soul power is evening the playing field, since if he couldn’t dodge or shoot in her pacifist fight the fight would straight up be impossible.
This is only tangentially related because of fangames, and discussion around their difficulty, but I'm gonna post it anyway.A week or so ago I saw this video on this fnaf fangame called Crawlspace: Insanity (I think that was the title) that was a remake of a notoriously hard fangame from ten years ago. This game was described by the reviewer as being the most unpleasant game to play he's ever seen in his life, and that it had to be played for you to properly understand how user hostile it is. It would blast you with strobe lights, scream at you, block your vision with static and more strobes and force you to look intently at the screen, and forcibly minimize your game then resize it as part of a sanity mechanic (central to the core gameplay loop), then force you to click a button which inverts your screen and your mouse, then it dumps a million new mechanics on you every night, and has an entire second game in the form of the awake mode, which is equally bullshit. Then it has two who final boss modes that each have entirely new and unique gameplay loops, each with their own sensory assaults and million new mechanics. And on top of that its all hard as nails anyways. Then this reviewer, after describing this game as the most user hostile game he's ever played, and spending the whole video saying how unpleasant it was, cut the video short just as he was finishing the game and said he didn't want to spoil it because he wanted people to play the game themselves. And to top it all off, the final twist is you die at the end no matter what. which is just bullshit.
>>748594538Eh, not necessarily, I feel like that's kind of a myopic viewpoint and ignoring the fact that there are well documented cases where the "difficulty" of games is entirely for chasing extrinsic social benefits rather than actually improving the gameplay.
>>748594006It's always done in the same days at the same time, too. A coordinated effort for clearly a general.
>>748594627>When talking with Dina after her fight she expresses surprise that you actually managed to defeat CerobaI didn't know that, why would Ceroba have that reputation anyway? she should have worked for the royal guard instead of working at the Oasis cafe if everyone knows she's that strong>and for the attack patterns either she didn’t use her FULL bag of tricks in pacifistI mean, I was talking about her attacks in pacifist too, even that barrier thing she does outside of fights its pretty powerful, it redirected one of Axis's attacksMaybe this is all just a leftover when she was still a boss monster early in development, back then they didn't need much justification to explain her power
>>748594730I went to go look this game up and the first video, despite being in 1080p, had text that was too blurry to read. >Then this reviewer, after describing this game as the most user hostile game he's ever played, and spending the whole video saying how unpleasant it was, cut the video short just as he was finishing the game and said he didn't want to spoil it because he wanted people to play the game themselves.kind of a pain, though I don't bother with too many reviewers these days.
>>748594953I was watching it because I was bored and I got interested by the high production value of the game, and because I don't like the gameplay of fnaf games.I was pleased that half the comment section told him to go fuck himself and refused to hear him out when he tried to justify it.
>>748594730That sounds like a miserable experience, specially the ones that require your full focus on a game that has jumpscares, I already thought the sounds mechanics in fnaf 4 were bullshit so I can't even imagine playing this shit>spoilersI hate how a lot of skeletonwank fangames do this, did they miss the point of the genocide route or just like Sans that much?
>>748594538They can also be really frustrating and not fun, actively getting in the way of the story in the predominantly story focused game. Plus you can always just choose to engage with the mechanics for fun. Its on you if you can't have fun without being forced, and some people can't have fun if they *are* being forced.
>>748594908>she should have worked for the royal guard instead of working at the Oasis cafe if everyone knows she's that strongIf you’re a tough and fit guy and have strength and endurance, will you join the army? Some people Just want a quiet life, and she probably felt more at ease silently looking after her community.>I mean, I was talking about her attacks in pacifist too, even that barrier thing she does outside of fights its pretty powerful, it redirected one of Axis's attacksIt’s not really THAT impressive considering a trash can lid was able to do the same, and during her final fight her newfound DT probably strengthened her shield.
>>748595151>I was watching it because I was bored and I got interested by the high production value of the game, and because I don't like the gameplay of fnaf games.that's very fair honestly. sometimes I'll let a video like that go on when I need to break the silence and want to just have background words, though I can't focus on too much myself at times like that.
So I know like, the whole ecosystem around it is gay and retarded these days, but have you guys tried SRB2 and some of the custom user levels and characters for it?Some of it is pretty good.Stock Race mode > SRB2Kart
>>748594735>I feel like that's kind of a myopic viewpoint and ignoring the fact that there are well documented cases where the "difficulty" of games is entirely for chasing extrinsic social benefits rather than actually improving the gameplay. Is it? I mean in cases like the souls series the difficulty is part of the appeal, same with games like Hollow Knight, I'm someone who loves both Ori games but got disappointed with how easy they were, the first game is very easy, the second improved on the difficulty but I still felt it wasn't enough, not because I'm someone who's addicted to hard games, but because Ori gives you a ton of weapons and mechanics, and the bosses and level design don't push you hard enough, I wouldn't complain about the difficulty in those games if they at least had super bosses or optional hard platforming challenges.
>>748592554You can make it broI'm 105k words deep into a novel after writing fanfiction for a decade-oddDon't be afraid of yourself, put in consistent effort and it'll go places
>>748595303I actively am not interested in the kart mode. I got excited when I saw the game had online and then that just died when I saw that everyone seemed to just like the kart mode.game itself is a lot of fun though either way.
>>748594908>>748595263(me)>she should have worked for the royal guard instead of working at the Oasis cafe if everyone knows she's that strongAlso to add on to this, considering how against joining the royal guard Chujin was when Martlet brought it up, I imagine he would be much less keen on his wife doing the same.
>>748595437Thanks anon, I still have fanfiction I want to write but, I plan on taking shots at writing my other ideas too. Also good on you having that much of your novel done!I dont know if I'll get the chance to hear about it but I'd love to witness it when its done
>>748595158The game at least had a narrative purpose of it and didn't try to frame it as a good thing, but that's not an ending worth sitting through all that bullshit for it wasn't in a skeletonwank sort of way though. In that game the whole point of it was that you were utterly fucked, doomed to die like a dog, but were dragging it out because of pure stubborness and fear of death. The whole plot is the POV of a dying man passing between a waking nightmare and actual hell (which may or may not be one of his own making in his head) It again, just didn't seem worth it for sitting through all of that. The player deserves some kind of reward for beating *that*Graveyard Shift at Freddy's has a similar "that's it, you die" ending, but it feels worth it because you actually achieve something there. you force the man who's been feeding employees to his demon puppets into breaking his pact with the demon by surviving the whole weak, causing the whole operation to fall apart and the demon to break free and eat the owner. Bringing the whole human sacrifice powered chuck e cheese racket crumbling down. there's a sense of justice to it. You can feel it from the defeated tone of the phone guy's voice at the start of the final night.
>>748594908Maybe she's just a naturally powerful monster like Undyne. >>748595263Magic barriers might not even be some incredible skill. For all we know, monster magic might be like cursed techniques in JJK, where its just something you have an innate talent for. Sure you can train it to be better, but at the end of the day its basically just luck of the draw,
>>748595303I tried it once, but never really tried it seriously. It is on my to play list though. I still have to beat the original Sonic games first though.
>>748595314nta, but a lot of games don't have difficulty as part of their appeal, some even have the lack of difficulty as their appeal. Casual games are an entire genre.
>>748595437Nta, but I really need to get back to that fanfic I've been writing. I keep writing like one sentence then setting it down for the day.
>>748595239>They can also be really frustrating and not fun, actively getting in the way of the story in the predominantly story focused game.I can't recall a frustratingly hard story focused game right now, the closest I played is Nine Sols, but that game comes with an "story mode" in case you don't like the Sekiro style gameplay, I also got the opposite example in which gameplay that's too easy can be a detriment to an story focuses game, that Marvel's Spiderman got boring with how easy an repetitive the combat was, even on the higher difficulties, the was no way to "make your own fun" I was using all my tools and I still didn't enjoy the combat by the end of the game.>Plus you can always just choose to engage with the mechanics for fun. Some games suffer really hard from this, a lot of people think that Resident Evil 6 has bad third person shooter mechanics when the game is actually super fun and has some decently in depth combat, the problem is that the game gives you no real reason to use those mechanics, you can beat the entire game by running and shooting and not using any of the tacticool gun-fu combat in the game
>>748595837I always really did like Ceroba’s affinity for barriers in particular, I’ve made a LOT of head cannons about it and human barriers, like what if a regular monster barrier can easily be destroyed by human magic, a stronger monster barrier takes some effort to destroy, a human barrier may be impenetrable by monster magic and of course, a barrier made by 7 human wizards focusing their power together is completely indestructible by anything except at least the power of 7 human souls.I just really liked how it fleshes out this little detail about the world and its magic system.
>>748595263>If you’re a tough and fit guy and have strength and endurance, will you join the army?I mean, the royal guard seems to have a much lower barrier of entry and it doesn't come with the same issues that come from joining the army.>It’s not really THAT impressive considering a trash can lid was able to do the same,Yeah, but that's a physical object, and magic is weak to matter in Undertale
>>748595704The player character achieving something in such a long and hard game is very important if you are gonna make them die at the end, otherwise the whole thing feels pointless, what was the purpose of all this suffering and strife if nothing changes at the end?
New DRY schizoboss just dropped
>>748595837>Maybe she's just a naturally powerful monster like Undyne.Alright but Undyne's moveset is still very poor compared to Roba's, she literally only has spears and the green soul move, which deals no damage by itself and comes with a shield even in the genocide route.
>>748596168I still think human barriers aren't walls, but instead distortions in space. A monster barrier is a wall made of magic, a human barrier is them warping reality to make the space between you and the other side longer. 7 souls is just what it takes to make that artificial distance infinite.
>>748596028I know that, but when a game has a combat system as its main gameplay mechanic I expect some form of challenge from it, I can enjoy easy games, but sometimes they feel like wasted potential.
>>748596372I even get that the whole point of the game is that it was pointless and you died like a dog, but that just feels like a bad point for such a hard game to have.
>>748596486I like that it's not quite infinitely long in the sense that you have infinite space to settle in but rather, you could walk forever, but as soon as you turn around to go back to your starting point you're back almost instantly
>>748596258>Yeah, but that's a physical object, and magic is weak to matter in UndertaleWell if this one ain’t enough for you, then I can also point out that Ceroba is already stronger than Axis, so it not really far fetched to thing that in a duel of monster magic vs monster magic she can counter him, there is a lot more rationalizations that I can come up with to explain how it works, I genuinely don’t think it’s agregaos enough to agonize over.
>>748596486So the barrier is Gojo's Infinity applied to the entire underground?
>>748596594I mean, Ceroba being stronger than a robot that has already killed a human is kind of egregious
>>748596167>I can't recall a frustratingly hard story focused game right now,I can, Deltarune Yellow. Didn't like the gameplay in it, still don't. Was playing purely for the story. As for games that were too easy. Solatorobo's combat is piss easy in all but one boss fight, but I still had fun the whole way through because I liked the characters, story, and world. >you can beat the entire game by running and shooting and not using any of the tacticool gun-fu combat in the gameTo be fair, that was the core gameplay loop of every prior resident evil game, so I can see why they would gravitate towards that.
>>748595521It's not that the Kart mode is really, bad, I just sort of wish it was its own thing.
>>748596657Basically. Only it has a visual effect in addition to its physical one.
>>748596258>I mean, the royal guard seems to have a much lower barrier of entry and it doesn't come with the same issues that come from joining the army.Ok, but what if she doesn't want to?>>748596449Maybe Undyne just has a naturally shittier set of attacks. Like her type of attacks is just easier to deal with than Ceroba's.Or maybe magic is like stands and its a product of the user's personality, so Roba's personality is better suited to actually killing people than Undyne's.
>>748596486I don’t think there is enough evidence to support this considering the only human made barrier we ever see is the one in UT made by 7 humans wizards focusing their full power, it’s reality warping properties might be a result of a threshold of power being reached, for all we know a regular human barrier made by an individual might just be a regular magic wall (although much stronger than its monster counterpart obviously).
>>748596503The main gameplay mechanic isn't the combat though, its the puzzles in the combat. The combat is just a gimmick and joke delivery vehicle. It only becomes actual gameplay in the route you're not supposed to play, because you're doing to wrong things and treating everything like a game with numbers and mechanics.
>>748596561Yeah, like that.>>748596982We don't see humans use monster style magic at all. But we do see them warp reality quite a lot, in big and small ways. Human magic is DT.
>>748596486It might sound corny to me, but I liked to think the barrier wasn't like, especially magic or anything, it is, obviously, since you need like Seven Human Souls to dispel it, but I like to think conceptually on an understanding of monsters, that the barrier itself doesn't impose itself like, physically, but there's a mental and spiritual understanding that they and humans who can be subjected to the spell are forbidden from exiting without establishing they can leave peacefully. This is unrelated to the plan Toriel had to (have someone else) take a Soul leave and murder people.
>>748596716Axis is purpose built to kill humans. He's going to be stronger against humans than he would be against monsters. Meanwhile Roba is going to be equally strong against everyone because she's a monster, except children who she has a critical damage buff against.
>>748597123So it doesn't physically stop you, it just makes you mentally incapable of crossing it?
>>748597067>But we do see them warp reality quite a lotWhen have we ever seen humans using magic in UT? DT and SOUL power are established as two separate concepts, and the barrier is broken with the latter, I don’t think what we do at the end of the game can be definitive proof of a connection between DT and SOUL power, I would need to see more evidence to fully believe that.
>>748597223More or less.
>>748597298>When have we ever seen humans using magic in UT?The guys who made the barrier were called magicians
>>748597315What stops you from strapping yourself to a car, putting a brick on the gas, and having it push you out against your will?
>>748594380She says she cancelled her gym membership. Although, since there's dialogue in the Wild East where Ceroba says she only moved in with the Feisty Five a few weeks ago, maybe she only cancelled her gym membership then and hasn't lost much muscle.I'm still one to go for the "Ceroba has tard strength" narrative when explaining how unnaturally strong she is.
>>748597468I don't know, it can tell you're trying to do that and stop you from doing that?
>>748597298Saving, shooting bullets, healing from nothing, resisting death without saving, creating items from nothing, attacking out of turn, creating bullets out of nothing.> DT and SOUL power are established as two separate conceNo they aren't, you merely read them as that. There's not definitive line which can be exclusively read that way.
>>748597401We don’t ever see them casting magic we just see their handiwork, and hear how they did it, it’s too left up to interpretation to say definitively how it works.
>>748597541I think the "prison with no walls" explanation works better than the "psychological shock collar".
>>748595263That trash can lid was forged by Chujin himself with the same steel used for the door to Dr. Gero's lab
>>748595303I liked SRB2 when I played it but not enough to get super into user made content for it. By contrast I LOVED SRB2Kart, but the dev team had a giant ego and pissed away the massive amount of goodwill I had for them even before Dr. Robotnik's Ring Racers released, which I have no interest in and will never even give a chance. I've heard SRB2 development has been largely taken over by the Kart/DRRR team, and if true that's foreboding
>>748597648Now I'm imagining some UTY Au where Chujin is like Dr Gero, and geno Clover is actively beating down his door while he activates his new Axis models.
>>748598084Clover would job to door-sama
>>748597556>SavingThis is a power exclusive to the underground and it only requires being more determined than everyone else there>shooting bulletsThis one just feels like regular magic that monsters can also do only much weaker, although the yellow soul mode is obtained in UT via Alphise’s device so it might not even be human magic in UT, it certainly doesn’t link it to DT>healing from nothing, resisting death without saving, creating items from nothing, attacking out of turn. All of these are linked to the final battle where you’re more determined than ever and is vague wether it should be considered magic considering it’s more an expression of your will power rather than a conscious effort to cast anything. The other point I’m willing to concede on, I believe you’re right on that.
>>748592509>deletedAre we finally getting through to janny?
>>748596739>I can, Deltarune Yellow. Didn't like the gameplay in it, still don't. Was playing purely for the story.I wouldn't call it frustratingly hard but ok.>As for games that were too easy. Solatorobo's combat is piss easy in all but one boss fight, but I still had fun the whole way through because I liked the characters, story, and world. I understand that, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon EoS is one of my favorite games of all time and the main story in those games is piss easy outside of a few dungeons, I still wish they tried to do something more with it. The game could be even better if I could enjoy the main gameplay loop.>To be fair, that was the core gameplay loop of every prior resident evil game,I know, but since there game isn't hard enough to make you question the game mechanics there's no point in using them in normal difficulty, to this day people think RE6 has the worst gameplay of the action trilogy
>>748598290>This is a power exclusive to the underground and it only requires being more determined than everyone else thereOr maybe there's just someone more determined than Flowey and Frisk on the surface>All of these are linked to the final battle where you’re more determined than everAll the more reason for this to be an example of human magic> and is vague wether it should be considered magic considering it’s more an expression of your will power rather than a conscious effort to cast anything. That's what I'm saying human magic is. Its will power manifesting the physical world.
>>748598439>I know, but since there game isn't hard enough to make you question the game mechanics there's no point in using them in normal difficulty, to this day people think RE6 has the worst gameplay of the action trilogyI think that's a failure in tutorializing, not a lack of difficulty. Just show the player that they can do that and that it works really well.
>>748596915>Ok, but what if she doesn't want to?Alright, she could have still found some job that made use of her tard strenght instead of working at the cafe, which is a job she didn't even like if not mistaken.>Or maybe magic is like stands and its a product of the user's personality, so Roba's personality is better suited to actually killing people than Undyne's.The housewife that sometimes gets angry has a personality better suited for killing than the anime watcher fish that has been training her whole life to kill a human?I think Undyne being born with a very shitty set of power makes more sense at that point, she has above average power and is a decent user at best, while Roba was blessed with some of the most dangerous attack patterns and utility skills
>>748592558Saving this to smash it right into janny's wrinkly, impotent nuts in the future.
>>748597007>The main gameplay mechanic isn't the combat though, its the puzzles in the combat.Disagree, most of the game consists of you fighting normal monsters in random encounters not boss fights, and the acts in those fights aren't very engaging, and the third hardest fight in Undertale is Omega Flowey, who's not a genocide route boss. The combat serves as a narrative vehicle but it stills expects you to engage with it like any other combat system even at a basic level.
>>748598662he seems to be leaving us in peace for once in our lives. even taking care of the shitposters trying to shit up the thread.
>>748598552That's the thing, the game does teach you those mechanics, but you can beat it like any other action Resident Evil game, even if the new mechanics make the game easier.
>>748598589>Alright, she could have still found some job that made use of her tard strenght instead of working at the cafe, which is a job she didn't even like if not mistaken.Maybe she didn't want to do manual labor. Just because people are suited for one type of job doesn't mean they want to pursue it.>The housewife that sometimes gets angry has a personality better suited for killing than the anime watcher fish that has been training her whole life to kill a human?Yes. Undyne ultimately doesn't actually want to kill humans, she wants to save monsters and make people happy. She likes doing the right thing and being bombastic and passionate about it. Ceroba has serious anger issues, violent tendencies related to them, and is more than anything desperate. Undyne only musters that kind of desperation in her Undying form, and even then its tempered by sense of honor and justice. Ceroba would murder an innocent child to fix her mistake, that's how single mindedly devoted she is to her goal, and how far she's willing to go. Even Undyne won't kill Frisk once she realizes how truly innocent he is.Roba is simply more evil than Undyne. Her intent is more harmful.
>>748598470>Or maybe there's just someone more determined than Flowey and Frisk on the surfaceThat gets into weird head cannon with insane implications if there is a human with more DT than frisk after fighting Asriel. Also Toby’s statement mentions the underground exclusively, it extending beyond would only complicate things.>That's what I'm saying human magic is. Its will power manifesting the physical world.Considering it’s a specific substance that can be extracted and used by other and its powers seem exclusively linked to life and death and fate, I don’t believe it is necessary linked to regular magic, I mean I definitely do believe it probably plays a part in empowering it I don’t think it’s the end all be all of human magic.
>>748598698>and the acts in those fights aren't very engagingYou only say that because they hinge on ignorance of the solution. You've simply forgotten how they were fun the first time around. The most engaging fights are the common enemy fights where you have to figure out what combination of acts allows you to spare them, and get rewarded with funny dialogue for making the right choices.>omega floweyIntentionally an outlier and is meant to be the antithesis of the game up to that point.

Or maybe (you)r determination simply runs out because you've reached the end of the game. >Toby's statementWrong on principle because its a statement outside of the game. They have human magic, which is determination. Fate is linked to everything, its plot power made canon. It can do literally anything if you have enough of it.
>>748599053I hate this book so much, you have no idea. Its the most anti fan thing he's written. Completely spits in the face of player interpretation.Though, reading through it, this doesn't even imply saving is exclusive to the underground. Just that the most determined being in the underground is capable of saving. That doesn't rule out saving in other places being done by other determined beings.
>>748598984>Roba is simply more evil than Undyne. Her intent is more harmful.Alright I don't fully agree with what you said about Undyne because she's the hardest monster to spare in Undertale, but you have a point that Ceroba has more selfish intentions with the soul and is more willing to do harm
>>748599439>That doesn't rule out saving in other places being done by other determined beings. In terms of time this doesn’t make much sense unless you want to suggest that the underground is separated in time and space from the surface which considering things from the surface fall to the underground all the time and no time discrepancies appearing to happen between frisk falling underground and getting to the surface, doesn’t seem to be the case, so the existence of a second time traveler resenting and rewinding time simultaneously doesn’t really make any sense.
>>748599828Undyne is stubborn, but she has less hate in her, and fundamentally doesn't want to kill people. Roba has that rage in her, it gives her hatred which manifests in a visceral desire for violence and harm.Undyne has passion, but can't muster the kind of anger Roba can. You never see Undyne screaming or crying, or have her lose her composure.
>>748599105I thought the bosses where better than the regular enemies, even if acts do nothing against most bosses, the attack patterns are good enough for that.>Intentionally an outlier and is meant to be the antithesis of the game up to that point. And yet is one of the best fights in gameplay and narrative, so its not like its sacrificing something to archive that difficulty

>>748596405Noose goose, save my soul
>>748599996Time and space are both relative, and in the world of fiction spooks. They're however long you want them to be.Think about how Half Life and Blue Shift take place at the same time and the same place, yet Barney can take 2 hours from the start of the disaster to when he sees Gordon while Gordon could take 12 and vice versa. And both can save and load without resetting the other.Undertale is a world where game mechanics are canon. So two people being the protagonists of their own stories in the same world at the same time, while having different flows of time, don't contradict each other because that's simply not how those things work.To both protagonists, if they met each other, they would both appear to be the protagonist in sole control of the timeline from their pov, because that's how it works in games.
>>748600041>And yet is one of the best fights in gameplay and narrative,Narratively maybe, but gameplay wise its a cluttered mess and kinda samey.
>>748600083If both work just as well and the kung fu isn't difficult, then is that really harder?
>>748600119>save my soulI didn't think of it earlier, but there's definetly a DR joke in there somewhere
>>748599996>the underground is separated in time and space from the surfacewho's to say it's not desuthe barrier definitely doesn't seem physical from what we see of it in undertale
>>748600227>Narratively maybe, but gameplay wise its a cluttered mess and kinda samey.I thought the attack patterns were good and the sections with each soul helped to make the fight not feel repetitive
>>748600264>If both work just as well and the kung fu isn't difficult, then is that really harder? The gun-fu makes the game easier and it optimizes your ammo, you can also use it with just your melee weapon, and there's a character who's just as strong with his fists as he is with guns.Limiting the ammo would make the game harder because now you can't just blast every obstacle with your guns.
>>748600371That fucking barrier resisted the erasure of the universe, its definitely not just a wall of magic built around the Underground
>>748600538Then maybe do that, but also add a character who's gun focused and can mitigate the ammo scarcity somehow so you can still cater to the people who want to play guns, then make the gun fighting with him actually be fun.
>>748600868>so you can still cater to the people who want to play guns, then make the gun fighting with him actually be fun.The gun fighting in RE6 IS fun thanks to the new mechanics, besides the quickshot, which is the basis for all the gun-fu in the game, you can also dodge roll while you are aiming or you can dive to the floor to avoid the enemies, the thing is that since there's enough ammo you don't feel the need to use all those, its rare for a game when the most effective play style is also the most fun
>>748592397I played it back when it released but i lost interest when i got to the desert area. Should i give it a second chance?

>>748592558Do you regulars sincerely believe these very specific rulings, or are you being glib, same as anybody else skirting the rules? Not even throwing shade on this thread specifically, since weekly (recurring) threads are fine enough on a fast board. You gotta be dysfunctionally autistic to insist on such nominative logic, because it inevitably comes down to "well the rules say no generals allowed, and since we are law-abiding citizens, this is no general" rhetoric. As if the key of the problem is putting the word "general" in the subject line and not circlejerk that inevitably arises. Surely you can point out a few curiously sanctioned threads yourself, in addition to the ones getting purged, no?>but what about X and Y and Z dogshitYeah it's also bad. But literally every piece of apologia for threads you like can be applied to threads you don't, and vice versa. If it's new – it's viral, and then the board is unusable if you don't care about the topic. ""Stealth"" /h/-tier imagedumps are totally about quality on-topic discussion. And what no-fun-allowed faggot is against a little funposting once in a while? Excluding janitors, of course. My point ultimately is such: if you don't want to be a hypocritical moron, you must show restraint yourself. Which means NOT continuously creating the same threads and NOT churning through discussion at supersonic speeds.>t. lurker of the funny animal RPG threads, who believes the obsessed madmen have nobody but themselves to blame for prune-on-sight behavior
>>748601526I sincerely believe in the fact that the threads don't actually fit the reason the /vg/ rule was made, and that this is not a general by the meaning of why those threads were made, nor does it fit the word of the rules. and therefore I know these threads are good, good for the board, good for the site. just a small pocket of sincere video game discussion.
>>748601526I mean I've been posting since that was made as a rule and I know why generals are banned in the first place and what in particular makes a thread a general. But these days /v/ is simply so dead, and posters from /vg/ are on the janny and mod team so the actual reasons for why it exists as a rule are sort of rendered moot. I do think as a breakdown of the distinction between a "normal /v/ thread" and a "general" aren't very good even if it does hit fairly close on WHY generals are banned on /v/ in the first place.Beyond you know, screwing with the admins and jannies here in spite of their best efforts at trying to avoid getting frustrated by their own hypocracy and lack of any real control there is no real reason to actually spend any time thinking about this, it's basically a distinction for an internet that no longer really exists and you could use that effort on something actually productive.Like making and collecting funny jpegs that make you and other people go lol, or developing and playing videogames.
>>748601526Anon have you even read the thread? this is all on topic discussio
>>748601526The no general rule was invented because of the autistic social clubs found recurring general threads, which had almost nothing to do with the games they were nominally about.Generals are 24/7 threads about anything but the game in the topic, featuring the same five or six people every time, with mountains of thread lore, and even bigger mountains of thread drama. Its a spirit of the law thing. The jannies don't at all care about the spirit, and just use the letter to punish games they dislike.we limit ourselves to two threads a week on weekends and always have, make sure to not allow namefaggotry or schizo acknowlegement of any kind, don't link discords, don't participate in cliques, only ever discuss the games and the things in them or related to them, yet we still get called a general and deleted on sight.
Also, while I'm here is Deltarune Ribbit really worth trying out or is it in that sort of weird kind of place where things are developed these days where it's more something for other people to play and you to watch? Not that anyone can't have fun with something like that, it's just not really something I'm looking to play right now.

>>748603681I like Nyctophobia, the original one.
>>748604358Depends on where you find them and what they're like.
>>748604414fair enough. I'll keep an eye out. I mingle a little bit outside of here, so no promises by ANY stretch but I'll keep you in mind. though ideally someone here would be interested.
>>748604223I'll begin my post with saying that I can't help you with it because I'm busy, but Oldentale is being made in BASIC isn't it? How hard is that to learn for someone who already knows a programming language?
>>748604587Its FreeBASIC, and it should be stupid simple to learn. The entire point of BASIC is that its a language anybody can learn.
>>748604587nta but I tried to learn a bit after hearing about oldentale but coming from modern languages where you can make classes and stuff, it is a bit hard to use since structs can only have specific variable types, and documentation changes between basic versions (freeBASIC and qBASIC for example use very different built in functions), so it can get a bit confusing if you don't exactly know what you are looking forand I'm used to using brackets and be able to declare variables and functions anywhere, BASIC is linear so you need to declare stuff before its called or the program will just refuse to compileand of course there isnt an easy way to load PNGs and the external libraries all have their own set of issues and limitationsat least that was my experience
>>748604451What places (you don't have to specify too much if you don't want) would you be asking?
>>748604380This one?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s3sf9o-NqycIt feels weird to see any chapter 1 era content nowadays, people had no idea what Deltarune would turn into
>>748604750I browse every single UTY related community to keep my finger on the pulse of things so to speak, I wouldn't be directly asking because most of those communities most vocal people aren't that great of people in the first place, but I'd be scouting. asking friends if they know anyone, stuff like that. like I said, no guarantees but I'll be on the lookout for you.
>>748604712Did you want to learn the language for your own projects?
>>748604712The specific language I'm using is FreeBASIC, so you don't really need to worry about dialect differences, at least not unless you're trying to study qBASIC code to figure out how to do something. And PNGs can be side stepped by just using BMPs instead. I draw all the art as 256 color bitmaps anyways, so it shouldn't be an issue.Classes, there are things like them in FreeBASIC. Its a different lineage from C, so its got a lot of different names for roughly similar concepts, or different things that fill the same role. Like I think we just use custom variable types for that.
So, I could be totally wrong about this but since it's BASIC you could maybe play Oldentale on a 3DS with 3D features since that one nip BASIC vm is on there.
>>748604806Yeah, that one. I don't think that one was based on any future expectation. They just wanted to make a Ralsei battle song.
>>748604941Which dialect of BASIC does the 3DS VM use? I don't know what you would use the 3d features for though.
>>748604968probably not, but back then people though Kris would be going full genoslides from the ending, so I won't discard the possibility of that theme being made for an hypothetical geno Ralsei fight
>>748605003I don't know which one, and cooler parallaxing maybe or like making a character walk towards the player off the play area?
>>748604927do you also keep everything in a single file? I like keeping my classes all in separated files but freeBASIC also uses a C style system with header files and other stuff which I honestly don't like much, I prefer languages that bypass thatall tutorials I saw on youtube and the forums didn't explain well how to make classes that work like actual classes in modern languages with their own instances, like the TYPE thing doesn't allow you to write functions inside of it that affect only one instance (or just any functions at all inside of it), maybe I'm just too used to modern conveniences, it's been a really long time since I last dabbled with C and pythonalso BMP would bloat the filesize a lot if you use full sprite sheets like UT/DR does, and not to mention having to code animations manually and the tilesets and all that stuff>>748604892I wanted to try it just to try making a basic game engine for fun, I already have another project I'm working on
>>748605131>also BMP would bloat the filesize a lot if you use full sprite sheets like UT/DR does, and not to mention having to code animations manually and the tilesets and all that stuffnta, but isn't part of the process of making an engine making the tools to facilitate that kind of work?I don't except Oldentale anon to manually code every tileset, he would go insane making even the most basic rooms
Sex with Fem Clover. Also thoughts on nsfw fangames like Lovemaniac?
>>748605076I think that would require an outright port to do. Assuming the VN is using some proprietary dialect of basic (not rare, everyone and their mother has their own BASIC) it would probably be a very involved porting process as well.I think you'd have an easier time playing it through DOSbox.
>>748605365yes but I meant you'd need to code the tools that do those for you too in the first place, and then code the engine to interpret the files in a way that BASIC understands
>>748605374I don't regularly play nsfw games, but I still was curious about Lovemaniac, the controls on it are unironically good, like some fangame should steal the mouse input used for it.anyway its kind of funny how despite these threads being so horny, people rarely bring up nsfw fangames
>>748605457I think with tilemaps there's an online tool you can use to make your own rooms, but I don't know if Oldetale anon could make a script that interprets those rooms for his engine, it should be easier than coding a tilemap tool from scratch
>>748605501I'm pretty sure the only nsfw fangames that got released are about the humans and I'm like, one of the two humanfags here. Makes sense this place wouldn't talk much about them.
>>748605131>do you also keep everything in a single file? You can load other files using #include not just libraries but basically any other source file you want.>ClassesI'm not an expert on FB myself, hence why I'm looking for programmers. You could try checking the manual. Or just make a post on the FB forum. I've never even worked with proper classes, I only know about them from talking with C programmers.I don't even know why you would need a function that only exists inside of one class.>bmp bloat sizesYeah, but compression eats CPU time and decompression code takes up space too. A 320x200 pixel sprite sheet isn't that big, and I can use palletization to reuse the same tiles and sprites with different colors.>code animations manuallyIsn't that hard. Plus I'm sure it could be automated. >tilesetsI don't follow what the issue there would be. I already have code that slices up my sprite sheet and loads sections of it into an array to make sprites with assigned numbers. I can just use similar code to automatically slice up and number a tile sheet.
>>748605681Most of the porn in this fandom isn't even about the humans and the furry fandom is a very horny one, so its pretty baffling that there isn't any fangame where you go around fucking monsters, seems like the most obvious idea for a nsfw Undertale game

(This is why the universal "Dating" theme is "It's raining somewhere else.")>Due to the death of Asriel on the surface, Toriel is way more emotional, and this is why she declares war on the humans, overthrowing Asgore as the king of the underground. This forces Alphys and Undyne into a predicament, in which they decide to swap roles to further develop their soul-gathering and human-capturing techniques. However, Undyne secretly starts a rebellion with other monsters once the communication between monsterkind and Toriel becomes poor. Alphys has to learn to be a leader, although she is still her UNDERTALE self, being cowardly and not actually wanting to fight any humans. Papyrus loses interest in the royal guard once Undyne takes her leave, and he hears rumors about the guard disbanding, and decides to be laid back and not focus so hard on his mission to be a royal guard. Sans, seeing this, tries to get his hopes back up and make him happier by becoming a guardsman himself, albeit not actually taking his job very seriously.>follows swapping characters for an in-universe reason. For example, "Super Mario" in Tory Fox's Universe would be "Super Wario" or something, Swapping the characters that have clear parallels (and sometimes not.) because of an in-universe reason (for the mario example, lets just say that whoever bowser is, is someone close to wario that got kidnapped instead of peach.)>This format makes it more interesting to keep your worlds the same while also bringing in new ideas for side characters or just stuff for fun.

>>748607438How could Asriel die on the surface then? Why were Chara and Asriel as separate beings on the surface of all places? Chara died on the Underground from poisoning himself as part of a plan and then Asriel absorbed his soul
>>748593179It felt as difficult as a sequel should be
>>748607519Maybe i should check Underswap out more but I think it's explained there.
>>748593207Not going to readbait your hopeslop>>748593654Did you go geno on your first run or something?
>>748607564Sequels being harder than the first game is quite rare actually, I can't think of many examples other than Doom Eternal, Xcom 2 and Silksong
>>748594179In pacifist she's fighting someone she respects and likes, in geno she's fighting the person who killed her last living link to the world so she's probably more determined to kill, probably also why the game spares you from her wrath if you kill Starlo in a non-geno run.
>>748595303DRRR is amazing, I've spent tens of hours on it but never got into SRB2K since it's only multiplayer. SRB2 has a lot of sick fan campaigns on top of its original levels too, that Solsentancia or whatever it was called is probably my favorite.
>>748607608>Did you go geno on your first run or something? No, it was my second run, I had no reason to use the new gun in my pacifist playthrough
>>748596372The point is that life is meaningless which means the story is deep because it doesn't have a happy ending
What if there was no barrier and they just put strobe lights in the hallway because monsters really are just that retarded?
>[Kanako is] Ceroba's little troublemaker.>She likes to hang 'round us and the Five when her mom's in town.>Looks dang intimidatin' in a cowboy hat too, that's for sure. Little older and she would fit right into our group!>Though I don't think Ceroba would allow it seein' as we might not be the best influence, haha.>Anyway, I been meanin' to ask Ceroba where Kanako's been. School field trip maybe? She does like to travel 'round the Underground.>Though I wouldn't think she'd be allowed too far ever since...>Ah, well, I could tell stories for hours but that's the gist of it, heh...>>>She does like to travel 'round the Underground.Wait a second, did Ceroba just let Kanako wander unsupervised? When she would have been, like, 6-8 years old at most during the integrity attack?I had assumed Dalv was her babysitter and that was why she was in Snowdin when integrity ran through, but it seems like there's nothing in the game to suggest he was more than "a friend." It's a miracle Kanako lived long enough to even get jabbed if her mother was that inattentive.
>>748608050The human magicians pranked the monsters by trapping them inside a hole full of floodlights and telling them there was no exit, they never thought the monsters would believe that bullshit, but they did
>>748599828>Ceroba has more selfish intentionsShe's literally fighting to save all of monsterkind.
>>748608153To be fair no one in the underground wants to murder each other.
Archive is almost set up, just gotta change some more links. I don't actually know what Doe mod is about, could someone give me a brief description along the lines of the other archived things?
Wait why does everyone all suddenly hate the /v/ mods
>>748608153Someone had to be bringing the corn to Dalv so the family probably did know about Dalv.>>748608214>what is muffet
>>748608220I haven't played it, but from the comments it seems that the mod is currently a "chapter 0" prologue centered around Kris and Noelle, the mod is mostly cutscenes and conversations, there are no battles right now
>>748608235Suddenly?
>>748608235brother when has anyone liked the mods on this site. they actively delete video game discussion.but, I'll give them credit for allowing some actual discussion to take place, and delete shitposting in this thread.credit where credit is due.
>>748608291Muffet has killed no monster.
>>748608320thank you, I'll use that for now, but of course I'm open to changing it in the future.
>>748608235>suddenly
>>748606390And you know this because...
>>748608153The underground operates on a pre-20th century model of parenting. Kids are expected to wander around and do whatever as long as they go to school and come from for dinner. That's why no one bats an eye at Monster Kid and Frisk wandering around Watferfall.
>>748608169>She's literally fighting to save all of monsterkind. She wants the soul to finish the serum to fulfill Chujin's legacy, I doubt she cares much about saving the Underground with an army of super soldiers
>>748608169She fighting for Chujin's legacy and to prove she didn't kill her daughter for nothing.
>>748607636I thought about that after posting but I stand by the wording "should be." Usually sequels are easier due to adding QoL and new abilities.
>>748608220Currently its just a demo for a mod where Noelle is a main party member from chapter 1 onwards. It also adds a chapter 0 prologue.
>>748608356She talks about feeding monsters to her pet
>>748608235They've never been good. This "banning thread topics just because a mod doesn't like them while ignoring all the trash and ragebiat" phenomenon isn't even close to new. I will never forgive Ab*b for killing SCP Secret Lab threads, and that was back in 2018 when Smash Bros. had 10+ rosterfag threads up at once at all hours. Mods even tried doing it to Undertale in 2015, but they gave up on that after a couple months and the topic was able to die down naturally and only have occasional threads since everyone got all the discussion out of their system and moved on.
>>748608356She acts like she has. She threatens a lot of people, has that giant web, talked about wanting to eat Alphys. She probably has killed a few monsters, which is why she thought she was hot shit in the genocide run. She genuinely believed she was invincible because she had a couple LV.
>>748608163>You find an old video tape on the ground.>Play it?>>*seven giggling drunks can be seen near the entrance of a seemingly familiar mountain*>*the word Jackass appears on screen in bold font*
>>748608153Kanako is lucky she never crossed paths with Mr Sunshine
>>748608535You could make an entire board just out of the games Abib hates.
>>748608356Then why would Mettaton specifically hire her to kill me?
>>748608557Asgore would dust on the spot from the revelation that they could have walked away at any moment and there was no need to kill any children
>>748596405>
>>748608585He doesn't care about girls. Only boys and booty.
>>748608214The core has like 5 different mercenaries all willing to kill you for money, those mercenaries must be doing something when they aren't hunting humans
>>748608321>>748608329>>748608378>>748608535>>748608608You guys always joke about janitor applications but why don't you actually apply instead of only complaining all the time?
>>748608638Haven't read homosuck, who's this?
>>748608650Kanako is lucky she never crossed paths with Mr Sunshine while he was claiming some booty
>>748608630He would stay in the Underground as the lone monster left behind to atone for all eternity. Toriel would immediately leave with a clear conscience and when speaking of Asgore, continue to paint him as a wishy-washy leader who didn't have what it took to get the job done.
>>748608669Because I don't want to delete threads, and being a janitor also wouldn't stop Abib, a global mod, from being a faggot.
>>748608669BECOMING a janitor is not going to help me stop janitors who use their ability to delete our threads unjustly. Why, if 4chan would just try to actually maintain the quality it had before, I'd be glad to put in the work myself . for free even! why, I might have even paid for a 4chan pass just to support ol mootykins if this site wasn't run by people who actively try to delete video game discussion while leaving up over 20 GTA threads.
>>748608693Yes, it would have been a ghastly sight.
>>748608683go find outhttps://homestuck.com/
>>748608762nobody is reading Homestuck to understand a single gif anon
>>748608707Toriel was act all smugly that her plan would have proved that you need no souls to cross the barrier
>>748608821will act*I should go to bed
>>748608669For one thing, I have a job. For another, I have no hard evidence but I strongly believe that they don't accept janitor applications from people who actually want to improve the board and listen to user complaints. The admins don't want the twitter screencaps and AI culture war threads gone from the board because Gr*pe*pe genuinely believes that 4chan is a recruitment ground for culture warriors who will save America by defeating wokeness. Given the site's unknown but certain links to a certain three-letter agency (found via all the .gov e-mails in the hack from last year) there might be even greater forces pushing this crap on us.I'd bring up the prospect of people moving to an alternative site but I know that nothing short of this site getting taken down permanently would compel enough people to move at once for that to get any traction. Also I'm definitely going to get a vacation for this post so I just want to say Fel!Roba is best Roba
>>748608665Yeah like watching snails race.
>>748608732Then go to IRC and tell staff about this 'injustice'?
>>748608894already been done. they don't care. now then, will you join for some vidya discussion?
>>748608884where do they get the money to travel to waterfall and watch the snail races?
>>748608882>4chan is a recruitment ground for culture warriors who will save America by defeating wokeness.Kind of based
>>748608894>go to IRCYou have never actually tried going to the 4chan IRC if you believe it'll do anything. They'll start ERPing to flood the chat if you bring up a problem they don't want discussed there.>>748609012Not at all when it gets in the way of me talking about video games, which is the point of the /v/ - Video Games board. I don't care what goes on at /pol/ as long as it stays on /pol/, but keep that shit on Twitter
>>748608972From the Money trees.
Is TS!Underswap dead? I beat it a few days ago and it was funny as hell. They channeled Toby's SOUL in some of those gags. I liked UTY but it wasn't very humorous tbqh.
>>748609190Money trees would collapse the economy, is not a feasible model
>>748609231It's in a bit of a rough spot. I played Geno only and it was fun until Crossbones then i realized all developers must die.
>>748609231>Is TS!Underswap dead?Kinda, there was a big drama a few months ago with people harassing the lead dev with fake allegations, and then the lead dev had a meltdown on bluesky. There hasn't been any news since then.
>>748609272>I played Geno only and it was fun until Crossbones then i realized all developers must die.The fight wasn't that hard, its a bit easier than regular genocide Sans
>>748609231It's not officially dead but the lead dev has been going through an extended mental breakdown and it's left the game in a state of hiatus. At some point sharty mass reported the dev and got his Discord account permabanned, and Discord support wouldn't reinstate it, and it seems to have caused irreversible mental damage to him.
>>748609231The dev got banned from Discord because of a cordnated attack from the sharty, he never recovered from it and to this day he's still doom posting on twitter
>>748609338>>748609383why did they do that?
>>748609331No way i beat Geno Sans on console and it wasn't as horrible as Crossbones (Who should have died)
>>748609489>whyThere is no "why," it's sharty.
>>748609563he always uses the same attack until you attack him, it makes practicing his bullet patterns much easier
>>748609338>mental damage over losing discord accountlol lmao
>>748609913He had the breakdown because he was organizing the TS!US devs via Discord, and doesn't know how to move to literally any other platform for that.
Ceroba's reputation is completely unearned because unless you lose her fight then she's actually killed zero people, kids or otherwise.
>>748609613>my friend Horses moments before running into the fire ball
>>748610339Saying that she didn't kill Kanako because Alphys revived her and made her suffer a fate worse than death would be like saying Asgore didn't kill any kids because they got revived at the end of UT true pacifist
>>748609913All his files and docs were there and he had no local backupsSkill issue really
>>748610391>Asgore didn't kill any kids because they got revived at the end of UT true pacifist
>>748610391And Asriel didn’t commit infinite holocausts because he reset every time he got to the end.
Do you think there'll ever be any serious controversy about Deltarune Yellow once the wrong person finds out where it originates from and tries to signal boost it as much as possible?
FUCK BOXES
>>748610510It stars a white man which is enough for that crowd to demonize it
>>748610510I think it's got too much momentum if I'm being honest. They would have had to strike while it was still in just chapter 1. now there's a fanbase that knows where it comes from but still likes it.
