>>748645286Sure, it's not insanely long, I've played every FF from 1 to 10, a bit of 11 and have like 9,000 hours of XIV (For better or worse, maybe worse).It's not a bad game but it's a solid 7.9 with HIGH production values IMO, the game, btw is INSANELY easy and you can't play a higher difficulty until you play it once from start to finish.The one time I caught myself smiling was in the final battle from the last DLC they released, very good match, otherwise the game feels like 3/4 spectacle and 1/4 actual engaging game-play for most boss battles.Sidequests feel like a SLOG, best moments definetly are going out of your way and finding stronger monsters to fight, but that happens in very VERY few moments.Give it a try, it's not as bad as people say but I wouldn't say its excellent either, has very little staying power considering what it is.

Overall, it's a weak game with some great peaks. Maybe a 7/10. I'd say get it on sale and play it. Your autism demands you do it for completions sake anyway, so why fight it?

>>748645286It's a questionable attempt at an action game by MMO devs. I respect the hard work behind it but doing MMO quest design, fight design and combat design (optimization revolves around using everything off cooldown) ends up being super jarring once you're halfway through the game. Boss encounters are especially annoying with "the floor is lava" movement mechanics while the camera, which is fixed on the boss and it's not customizable, does not help AT ALL. Eikon fights are spectacular, the OST is really fucking good and the cast of characters is memorable (I particularly like their designs despite how covered up female characters are) and mostly well written judging by 2020s standards. Just please, never let MMO devs make an action game again.
The combat and level design reminds me of those PS2 era mid DMC clones. Except those were 8 hours long but this one is 50
